Never seen back wheels do that due to bad shock absorbers. The axles' locating links would prevent the front and rear movements of those wheels. Looks like something's been loosened/removed here.
Indeed . .just changed mine yesterday after the abused taken by the expensive tyre . .learn the hardway instead of just change 1 part (absorber) have to change tyre as well not to mention seafty in between ....good job KYB
Thank you! Exactly right! The way the vehicles continue to bounce and jiggle at 5:10 (bottom) doesn't show typically "bad shocks" it shows all four shocks that are 100% completely disabled which is insanely extremely rare.
I installed the KYB Excel - G on my toyota sienna and after 6 months, my car's shock/strut started to have loud noises. Switching back to the original Toyota brand is better.
Bill C Toyota doesn't make their own shocks & struts. Instead, they contract other companies to build them to Toyota's own specifications. I can positively say that your Sienna has either KYB (most likely) or Tokico dampers. So, the only difference between the Excel-G and OE Toyota shocks would be the internal valving, and possibly the bushings. They are literally manufactured on the same production lines. However, Toyota will have different shock part numbers dependent on neat factors like trim level (CE, LE, XLE, Limited), wheel size and so on, where the Excel-G has one part number that is tuned to work well within those variables. That's the difference between the two.
Hello Bill, What noise did you hear when you install strut and shock on your toyota sienna? Are noise coming from front strut like when hit the speed bumper and you hear the loud sound like "drop down"
they both did a nosedive under braking, simply a change in distrubition of weight, shocks wont change that. the sedan did have no grip and bounced the rears tho with bad shocks

It's not between good & bad shocks, it's between good & damaged shocks.

@@Fluffy65 my 350z came with tokicos made for nissan. I switched to tokico D spec adjustables.
