This is the only Mortal Kombat Story to ever have Kung Lao to use his teleportation
There was also that one part in the OG story
I think he was using it a lot in Shaolin Monks
He used it in MK11 to go from one ship to another
Shaolin Monks used the heck out of it
He teleports after liu kang got new powers in mk11
man, watching this reminded me of how much I missed these MK11 Kombatants.
I love them in MK1, but you know, it's hardly the same.
I kind of felt the same way when transitioning from the Midway MK games to NetherRealm. I missed the classic storylines.
This is better than mk11

The fact that Kung Lao can teleport without his hat, is something that he didn't use it much throughout the whole cutscene series.
So is no one gonna talk about Kung Lao giving Shao trouble in the intro? Bro was holding his own.
Why shouldn’t he? He’s second only to the chosen one. King lao is not low level. He literally trained his entire life along side the most powerful person on the roster

Pretty impressive looking game. Don’t really play mobile games but still looks good just like these stories.

The opening cutscene had that Shaolin monk style. Which is pretty cool.
Beat 'em ups are pretty popular at the moment so now is as good a time as any to do another

Although I love what they've done with MK 1 and the New Era, it is fun to see the characters from MK 11 back in a semi-new storyline. Is this another alternate universe? 24:47 Cyber Smoke's look in this is completely new, isn't it?! I wonder how the story will end, because I doubt that this will be it!
It is. Note the different events that totally go against the reboot timeline. Such as Kitana being alive
Gotta admit, Cyber Smoke looks amazing. And it does seem like an alternate timeline.
It ended on the scene with Kitana and Jade for like six months. The updates are far and few between sadly

After watching MK1, this might be Titan Raiden's timeline... Just my guess.
Exactly, this is different timeline probably from Raiden.
If this Raiden was indeed a titan, then shouldn't his version of geras alert him of shinnok's plan? This should be easy especially since there's no outside intervention, like in Liu Kang's timeline.
Because of that alone, I'm sure that your suggestion is not on point.

@@Kanashu95 that's the point in fiction, they can create whatever scenario they want without adhering to the already pre established universe. DC games also took place in different universes from their comic universe.
I think it is actually look at the colors Raiden wears in this game? It’s mostly white…just like how old Raiden looked in MK1.

Damn you work fast when it comes to getting the cutscenes lol, either way nice to see Fujin (and the other characters and VAs that didn’t make it into MK1), and the mk11 designs again , this looks impressive for a mobile game
Sure, it's from a dead timeline, but I actually like the MK11 characters better than MK1. It was good seeing Jax, Jade and Erron Black.

@@Kanashu95 The original timeline didn’t just branch, the og was wiped. The wiping is part of the branch. The og timeline is governed by Kronika. There is no Kronika in any of the new timelines. The timeline as we knew it in Mk11 is gone.
This isn't the mk11 timeline. It just reused mk11 models.
Pretty cool they got most of the OG voice cast to reprise their roles. Was really hoping for some Cary Tagawa/Shang goodness.....

Only thing i hate is that he cuts some parts out that are graphic but i get he doesnt want to lose monetization. In the MK1 story, he cut parts out that were pretty important

@@yoshilu7451 huh, cryptic, I can’t really see him being let go since he’s been on NRS’s payroll for so long and is one of the most frequently reoccurring voice actors of MK but who knows, either way, his voice will be sorely missed
@@2bdaqueen268While I definitely miss Epcar’s voice for Raiden, the new VA for old Raiden actually kinda fits the thunder god’s character. Especially since Raiden is supposed to be pretty old compared to the roster.

I think I find this game a little more enjoyable than Mortal Kombat 1, as Onslaught has Kuai Liang as Sub-Zero, Hanzo Hasashi as Scorpion, Jax, Sonya, Liu Kang as Mortal Kombat Champion and Raiden God of Thunder once again!
Always can count on you when it comes to video game cutscenes can’t wait for Spider-Man 2!
I like the fights in the intro especially when most of them are old rivals against each other.
This story most certainly takes place in a completely different timeline that’s for sure.

Just realized it’s the same game that appeared in Johnny Cage’s ending in MK1
Now that the multiverse has been confirmed, this story will be part of the canon.
This is already incredible for having Kung Lao ACTUALLY PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT AGAINST SHAO KAHN finally my boi gets some Fckin respect it just sucks it had to be in a mobile game most people aren't gonna play
man, mobile games are just looking too good now. I remember when subway surfers first released and thinking about how impressive that was for a mobile game, and now we get this. Technology is so incredible.

The soundtrack on when Jax, Raiden and Sonya are speaking is almost like Edenia realm from Deception. Really good to hear that some songs sound like the past games :D

In a way they did. Mk11 had the dlc but beyond that it was bland. This feels like it could've been part of the console mk11 considering the characters designs

To be fair, Shinnok is a *fallen* Elder God so he’s weaker than the full Elder Gods.
And Raiden and Fujin aren’t exactly Elder Gods themselves. Gods, yes. Elder, no.
@@cinderpxmpkin9554 What I’m saying is the elder gods are supposed to be more powerful than Raiden and Fujin yet Shinnok was laying the smack down on them until Raiden and Fujin intervened. So your telling me Fujin and Raiden can defeat Shinnok but not Centrion and the other elder gods?
I always remembered Raiden (and by extent Fujin) shit for being a Demi god. So he's actually much weaker than thought to be beat shinnok.
Remember, we don't see how the fight actually went down. For all we know, Raiden and Fujin just distracted him until Cetrion and/or one of the other Elder Gods regained enough strength to deliver the knockout blow.
Jax has feelings for Sonya? Interesting. Imagine how strong their kid would be?🤔

@@migipot9112Onslaught came before, so Raiden was just recast in this game and they brought the new voice actor to voice Raiden in MK1, so yeah.
Today I saw the notification for this on google play and came directly right here to check :) you didn't disappoint as always.

But it does make me curious when this would take place.
I feel like this would be taking place DURING the events of MK9. Lao is still alive, and Jax has metal arms, so during the MKII chapter. But I feel like regardless of how you spin it, there is continuity errors.
After all, Sheeva is queen, Kabal has his mask on, Smoke is cyberized.
It's essentially one of the alt timelines we would have glimpsed in MK1's Invasion mode.

I'm the only one noticing that there's the unreleased soundtracks, which are heard from MK9. I really want those soundtracks by themselves.
The inconsistent use of models between rendered cinematic, artwork, and in-game cinematic is extremely distracting. It's very obvious this game was designed as an afterthought.

i have a strong feeling these were from the pre-incursion aka before the start of mk11 where their timeline get mashed up by kronika, judging by the looks that these version doesn't aware kronika exist at all, let alone shinnok killing cetrion of which she herself claimed they are siblings during the main game
It has no relevance to the canon timeline. But if we were to use 11's timeline concept, stuff seems to be between MK2 and MK4.

just like i said in my reply here, onslaught takes place to a separate timeline before kronika mashed together to the "main" timeline (because mk9-11 is said to be the 2nd reboot or something), true to that that none of them even know kronika exist (and also what i said about my earlier reply)
