liu kang has more screentime than any of the other chapter protagonists combined. he's still the main protagonist of mk1

The fact that there are no significant interactions between Liu Kang and Kung Lao it's a little bit delusional tbh ... I miss the duo so much
Actually I just realized that he tries to hide it. Like for example: Kung Lao didn't have to fight anyone but only raiden to fight for the right to champion Earthrealm.
Or Liu Kang beind concerned about Raiden fighting Kitana.
It also tracks with his character development in MK11 where he learned to be just as conniving as Shang Tsung.

Now that's just a theory (A game theory), it's not confirmed, but I think that's my little head-canon

I appreciate that you put the entire scene. I see a lot of “all X Character scene” videos where they only play the frames they are on screen, and the constant cuts to the audio in those videos annoy me, especially when the audio that is cut is from the character the video is about.

Honestly it frustrated me so much to see that! It's like Raiden was an ineffective Leader that literally made the same mistake. He never really exercised initiative and made a decision. Every time Liu Kang challenged him he ended up killing him for doing it out of his blind Hubris. Yet, Liu Kang as a God couldn't have been more informative and sincere of guiding everyone but especially Raiden. He showed he could do it better.

Liu Kang’s team has 4 Titans + the Immortal Geras. How are they even struggling against Shang Tsung’s mortal warriors? The only one who can even remotely pose a threat is his own FG Liu Kang

isn't shang tsung's timeline prepared for invasion for years? even decades? those warriors probably trained so hard to combat specific people by learning their counterparts, titans doesnt give you extra powers as i remember, you're just capable of designing the timeline not upgrade yourself to become a godly character
@@shiberu_7s man geras alone can stop time and negs all shang tsung army so what are it don't matter if he's a better fighter or not and a titan has the power to create and erase all existence and can't stop time controle fate and do what he wants to reality
@@shiberu_7s good point, but Shang Tsung himself only recently discovered that Liu Kang’s timeline existed, let along other timelines. I doubt he was preparing them for any possible war, albeit one within his own timeline perhaps.
Also I’m pretty sure being a Titan does give the user a godly status since they were the only ones who rank above Elder Gods and can kill them. Kronika was powerful for a reason, even needing Liu Kang himself to become a god to barely defeat her.
Although given MK’s ridiculous powerscaling such that literally all endings in MK11 where the mortals defeat Kronika was actually canon, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Titans struggle against the mortals
Although like I said, realistically only the Fire God Liu Kang from Shang Tsung’s timeline would even remotely pose a threat to the Titans and Geras

I beg to differ. Liu Kang at least was willing to expose himself as Keeper of Time. His prior life as a monk still retains his humbleness and the fact he relinquished his role as Keeper of Time shows that he tries to learn from others have abused with powerful artifacts and not abuse them.
Would Raiden do the same? He probably wouldn't give that power up and try to keep things secret.

Everything is perfect. I hate just one thing liu kang's design. What is the meaning of having fire glowing tattoos if you have to cover it with hand bands and a shirt. Shirt is ok but at least it should be no sleeve and the shoes like Goku have when he transforms into SS4. Now that would be a fire combination.

I think Lui Kang gave up it because it made Raiden's power not unique and Lui Kang just used to be Fire God and not use lighting

Fire God Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat 11 looks better than Fire God Liu Kang from New Edition of Mortal Kombat 1/MK1.
I'm guessing this is both a sequel and a prequel to mk11 and mk9 tell me if I'm wrong or not.
This is alternative timeline but liukang is the same after mk11 events.

Ah yes, Liu Kang is so " powerful " he " solos " anyone. What does he do in the story? Takes a backseat almost throughout the whole story fighting guards and that's it, nothing too impressive, he didn't showed any insane feats, he literally states he's a demi god meaning he's mortal as well. No fatalities don't count, hourglass doesn't count lol.

Why does everyone think the story was good? It was the laziest, unearned Mortal Kombat yet. I was hoping for a return to form not a bootleg Marvel story.

It just seemed like they took whatever suggestion was given and ran with it. I loved the MK11 DLC but this was a disappointment.

idk how u prefer the mk11 aftermath story over the mk1 story but whatever, each have their own opinion i suppose
@vaerolist9393 the MK11 story was at least a little more grounded. Seeing 2 Lui Kangs and 3 Johnny Cages on screen made it feel more like a LARP event rather than a MK game.
Shang Tsung having an evil timeline was dope and two timeliness made it simple enough to follow. They could've explored a parallel universe ran by evil one in which they had to liberate but rather than two coexisting timeliness they made an infinite amount removing all consequence and meaning to the story.
Also EVERY bad guy in the game was cannon fodder. Once great and powerful foes were now capable of being defeated by the most useless of the roster.
They ruined what took decades to establish hell even the 90's MK movie had a more deserving and well written protagonist in Lui Kang while power scaling and feats seemingly mean nothing anymore.
Seems like they haven't improved in decades of making, all be it, great games.
