I watch too much American politics, I will say not a fan of the Republican party at all but Liz Cheney is someone you can respect. Because they know there is a certain line you do not cross in politics, and she and the other Republicans in this committee all deserve that kind of respect. He knew they were building a case against him but also knew that if he was re-elected, the time limit to prosecute him would expire.
Come 2024, he’d be free to cause more harm.
He wasn’t counting on Pence growing a pair, calling everyone back and saying, ‘let’s get it done.’

D.O.J. must not delay He must finish his investigation and indict Trump for his malicious actions of january 6th.
Garland has already laid the groundwork to stop all investigations.
He's just waiting for Trump to declare that he's running, and then DOJ will go back to its inert status.
And he already stated that he is continuing Barr's policy of no investigations without his personal authorization.
When Trump eventually loses, he'll complain that the election was rigged and dispite the results.
Garland will then refuse to reopen any investigations until Trump concedes, which won't happen.
The statute of limitations will expire on all but the most serious charges, which Garland will state cannot be prosecuted, because too much time has passed and there is insufficient evidence for sedition or Treason charges.
Garland is a master of prosecutorial avoidance.

Footage publicly available shows the police officer at the center of the viral claim following a protester into the Senate, then repeatedly asking the protesters to leave. None of the footage reviewed indicates he gave them permission to enter the building in the first place. Get some new 💩

Agreed with the explanation, but I don't think he was unchallenged through lack of knowledge as such, I think the explanation Don Jr gave was left hanging to imply he was lying and to gather evidence on their mindset that can be used if the DOJ take up cases against them all.
I hate the tRumps but I don't think this is as damning as you would like it to be. While yes, you are correct that it means to go to war, language evolves, things turn to slang. People have been speaking Mafioso to sound cool for decades. Especially when its a quote in the Godfather. To go to war, you go all in otherwise you've already lost, can't be fighting a battle a little bit and expect to win. So a natural evolution of the phrase could be "time to go all in".

How closely did you pay attention to the testimony and other remarks by GA Sec of State Raffensperger and assistant sec Gabe Sterling which were known in political circles well before the hearings? I'm not saying that they should receive any particular honors but the extent to which family members and non-political employees in Georgia were harassed/intimidated was criminal. If I were the father of either of those ladies I'd be a nervous wreck and have a lot of sleepless nights.
Thats why during his term the White house was a revolving door of job insecurity even for some of the most ambitious and people with otherwise successful long term careers in politics.
