My 10 year old nephew finally got a copy of violet yesterday (first ever pokemon game) and wanted to play with me. He got through the tutorial and we joined in union circle. Less than 1 minute after joining in my game he caught a shiny Buizel. Similarly my 3 year old daughter wanted to play pokemon on Christmas so I had her play Let's Go Pikachu. 30 minutes in she found a shiny spearow. She was so excited when she saw it sparkle. Proud parent moment.
Yesterday, during my sisters’ birthday party, my Aunt was playing a mobile version of Crystal, I sat next to her to play my Pokémon Scarlet next to her. A couple minutes into us sitting together and playing she finds a shiny Abra. It took her 3-4 tries and luckily every Teleport it used failed. She named the shiny Abra Bobb and I will cherish him forever. I also subscribed today so I hope my shiny count will increase.

Lol had similar experience with hisuian zorura in arceus I hunted him from game release until October when I finally got him, only outbreaks and no charm.
Here’s a story about the full odds I’ve found in violet: a shiny gyarados when looking for it before a gym, a shiny tarontula hanging from a tree, a shiny noibat while doing the kitakami story, and a shiny doduo during the indigo disk story
My first Shiny ever was a pretty rare one. It was a Vespiquen in Lostlorn Forest in Black 2. I was fortunate enough to know what Shiny Pokémon were when it happened, so I caught it, and because of that experience I will always have a bit of a soft spot for Vespiquen.
So, I got my first EVER shiny in high school. In Pokémon Platinum, I wanna say? Might have been Diamond or Pearl? Anyway, it was a neutral nature female Combee. I did not realize, at the time, what utterly insane luck that was, to get a female Combee shiny, especially with the absolutely CRAZY honey tree system. So, as I wasn’t as into Pokémon, after she evolved into Vespiquen, I traded her away to a friend who needed Vespiquen to complete the Pokédex. I miss you, Queenie!❤
My grandpa loves to make little paper crafts as a hobby. Even though he knows next to nothing about Pokémon, he knows that I like to shiny hunt a lot. He’s started making me shiny Pokémon figures out of paper and I love them so much ❤

I had to restart my Violet game bc I got a new switch, but I found a shiny maschiff before the first gym, so definitely worth it. Funny thing is I didn’t even know it was shiny, I was just like “Oh, I don’t have this in my Pokédex, I should catch it” 🤣 So glad I got it

Got a funny shiny story. Last night I was looking for the fire Taurus when one of them changed into me and started a battle. Since it was night in the game I didn’t notice a difference until the stars appeared when the battle started. He truly wanted me to catch him.
My first ever shiny Pokémon was one I found in the Kitakami DLC! It really confused me at first, as I didn’t have anything to help me shiny hunt (and it was mid story). But I was looking around for one of the evil trio, and I came across a shiny Kommo-o! (I think that’s its name) I named her lemon cuz I didn’t know what else to call her Then, I found a shiny grubbin in the timeless woods! Full odds. Then the Timburr walking around in the grass (very confusing to me) and my latest one was in the Timeless woods again! I was trying to hunt for a phantump, a tiny phantump, so I made a ghost encounter sandwich, and then after I put my picnic away, a shiny Mimikyu spawned in next to me! I was very happy
This video had just dropped very recently but its nice too see all the shinies everyone either pulled or caught, and it would be nice to see the rest if your collection aswell. A little while ago today, I completed my goal of having all 3 tatsugiri forms and got the missing form with only 2 eggs.

Just want to list off a few of my treasured shinies, since this video is about shiny collections: My first ever shiny was the Haxorus in Black 2 that you get after completing the regional dex (I think, I don't remember completely). I traded that Haxorus away in Y because, at the time, I did not know the true value of shinies. This was also in the first Pokémon game I played where I actually made an effort (I had Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal when I was in preschool as handmedowns from my dad, but I didn't actually get past the 2nd town in any of those games because I was a dumb child who didn't understand that I had to take the package back to the professor because I had the attention span of a goldfish). My first event shinies were Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina from codes in Black 2. They were also my first event in Pokémon ever. I still have the Dialga and the Giratina, but I traded the Palkia for something in Y because that was still before I understood the value of shiny Pokémon. My first shiny in GO was a shiny Growlithe, and I was shocked to find them. I still have that one, but I think they're currently in Let's GO Eevee. Their name is Sparkanine. My first full-odds shiny was a Cutiefly named Ribomsheen in Ultra Moon. I was in MeleMele Meadow when I found it, and all I was doing was heading to the cave to find Nebby for the story. My first random encounter Shiny Charm shiny was a little orange creamcicle Stufful in Shield. Found while chasing Galarian Zapdos for Crown Tundra. My first PLA shiny was a Cricketune just randomly chilling in the Crimson Mirelands. My first successful hunt (with intention to hunt the shiny rather than just experiment) was a shiny alpha Hisuian Zorua in PLA, which was my favorite Pokémon at the time. My first (and only known) shiny fail was a shiny Dusclops I found exactly 2 seconds before in-game dawn in PLA, and I was unably to reach the ghost before it despawned. I made up for it right after by finding 2 shiny Duskulls and 2 shiny Electabuzzes in massive mass outbreaks. My first Masuda shiny was in Scarlet, and was also my favorite shiny and favorite Pokémon of all time, Floragato. My most recent hunt was my first sandwich hunt, and I got 2 shiny Slither Wings from it. Slither Wing is my favorite paradox, and my favorite shiny of any paradox form. I listed these shinies in chronological order to the best of my memory, and I adore each and every one of them. One day, I plan to reclaim my shiny haxorus from Black 2 by finishing my re-play, though the mechanics of modern games have greatly spoiled me and have been making the journey through Black 2 quite difficult. Honorable mentions: Shiny Talonflame and Shiny Dusknoir with competitive builds that I got from wonder trades in Y, several wormhole shinies from Ultra Moon (at least 2 Swannas, don't remember the rest), shiny Hitmonlee from Max Raid Adventures in Shield, a shiny Lucario I got as a normal trade in Omega Ruby, my first shiny female Eevee ever in GO, the 2 shiny Togepi I got by accident while attempting to test outbreak hunting in PLA, and Stonjourner my first shiny of Scarlet at full odds. Sorry for the wall of text, I just thought this might be a good place to talk about my shiny Pokémon. I'm really proud that I had no shiny fails due to ignorance, and that I even got any of my shinies in the first place.
Not much but the only shinies I have *found myself* (been pretty lucky with gieaways* Are a dugtrio I failed because I ran away to save and it dipped and a hawlucha I found while hunting noibats (In scarlet I have quite a few more in other games)
My first shiny Pokémon (full odds) was a wurmple lol. I was so confused cause I was like “Aren’t wurmples red? Why is this one purple?” And then I realized that it was shiny and caught it lol. It evolved into a very pretty Beautifly as well, which was definitely awesome.
I think my rarest shiny is definitely my shiny raquaza in Scarlet in Violet. It was obviously a transfer, but I'm still happy to know that I have a shiny from my favorite legendary.
I have half a box full of shiny‘s in Pokémon legends Arceus in half a box full of shiny‘s in Pokémon violet as well as a full team of shine is in both I love them I got them only after subscribing of course

Something funny that happened the other day was I was on the phone with a friend doing research tasks for Crobat in Arceus. I was in the Icelands to catch the one in the air, and it turned out to be shiny right as I said I was on a drought. I named her Nibble. I also have another shiny Crobat and his name is Chomp Chomp!
My rarest shiny wasn’t rare itself it is a yungoos but I got it in my first playthrew of scarlet and found it In the cave when koriadon was still leading me threw the hounderur cave in the first 10 minutes of playing (sorry if I butchered the pokemon spelling)😅

i want to share my first shiny hunt. on my violet playthrough, i shiny hunted for the first time, and i found a shiny masquerain without shiny charm or shiny sandwiches. i'm so proud of it.
This video reminds me of the very first time I encountered a shiny. I had just got into pokemon and didn't know what shiny hunting was but after finding that shiny litten, curious 12 yr old me wondered if I could find other different colored pokemon.
So in Arceus, when you get the dusclops to get the Basculegion, I failed it the first time because of the night and day cycle. It was worth it though because when the dusclops despawned, a shiny starly popped up.
My rarest shiny is actually a duo, a Meowth and Oinkologne, I found Meowth first then saw the Pink Pig in the background of the fight. Both were full odds as I was playing Violet again using only fighting types
I bought a used copy of SoulSilver a few months ago that had the event shiny Suicune and Entei from 2011. No Raikou to be found, sadly. But when I transferred the other two to Black version I found a full odds shiny Vanillite five minutes later 😂 It has a terrible nature, but Ube is my precious lil ice cream cone friend and I love him
I have a shiny Charmander and a shiny Popplio; i found both randomly with NO sandwich or shiny charm. I was walking in the blueberry dome, saw them and catch them last year. Both are fully evolved and so beautiful! Primarina is my favorite 🥰I also found a shiny Raichu like them, yay!

I’ll lost what I think counts lol If we’re going by odds alone, then I think any of my 3 shiny female starters would count (MJ my Sprigatito, Lily my Greninja, and Pepper my Torchic). Rarest found on a hunt… Looking for Shiny Zorua/Zoroark in PLA led me to finding Silver, my shiny ALPHA Hisuian Samurott. Actual rarest shiny I own… shiny Zygarde in a cherish ball. Beyond a few “justify-able” hacked shinies (Victini and Ash-Greninja come to mind, because COME ON. Shiny Victini is SO GOOD and Nintendo screwed us by Shiny-Locking Ash-Greninja too), I believe my Zygarde to be my rarest one. Then again, I’m full odds hunting Rayquaza rn in BDSP, so maybe that’ll be my rarest one? Only time will tell

My first (and only known) shiny fail was a shiny Dusclops I found exactly 2 seconds before in-game dawn in PLA, and I was unably to reach the ghost before it despawned. I made up for it right after by finding 2 shiny Duskulls and 2 shiny Electabuzzes in massive mass outbreaks.
My first Masuda shiny was in Scarlet, and was also my favorite shiny and favorite Pokémon of all time, Floragato.
My most recent hunt was my first sandwich hunt, and I got 2 shiny Slither Wings from it. Slither Wing is my favorite paradox, and my favorite shiny of any paradox form.
I listed these shinies in chronological order to the best of my memory, and I adore each and every one of them. One day, I plan to reclaim my shiny haxorus from Black 2 by finishing my re-play, though the mechanics of modern games have greatly spoiled me and have been making the journey through Black 2 quite difficult.
Honorable mentions: Shiny Talonflame and Shiny Dusknoir with competitive builds that I got from wonder trades in Y, several wormhole shinies from Ultra Moon (at least 2 Swannas, don't remember the rest), shiny Hitmonlee from Max Raid Adventures in Shield, a shiny Lucario I got as a normal trade in Omega Ruby, my first shiny female Eevee ever in GO, the 2 shiny Togepi I got by accident while attempting to test outbreak hunting in PLA, and Stonjourner my first shiny of Scarlet at full odds.
Sorry for the wall of text, I just thought this might be a good place to talk about my shiny Pokémon. I'm really proud that I had no shiny fails due to ignorance, and that I even got any of my shinies in the first place.

My first shiny Pokémon (full odds) was a wurmple lol. I was so confused cause I was like “Aren’t wurmples red? Why is this one purple?” And then I realized that it was shiny and caught it lol. It evolved into a very pretty Beautifly as well, which was definitely awesome.

I was in the Icelands to catch the one in the air, and it turned out to be shiny right as I said I was on a drought. I named her Nibble. I also have another shiny Crobat and his name is Chomp Chomp!

So in Arceus, when you get the dusclops to get the Basculegion, I failed it the first time because of the night and day cycle. It was worth it though because when the dusclops despawned, a shiny starly popped up.

Rarest found on a hunt… Looking for Shiny Zorua/Zoroark in PLA led me to finding Silver, my shiny ALPHA Hisuian Samurott.
Actual rarest shiny I own… shiny Zygarde in a cherish ball. Beyond a few “justify-able” hacked shinies (Victini and Ash-Greninja come to mind, because COME ON. Shiny Victini is SO GOOD and Nintendo screwed us by Shiny-Locking Ash-Greninja too), I believe my Zygarde to be my rarest one.
Then again, I’m full odds hunting Rayquaza rn in BDSP, so maybe that’ll be my rarest one? Only time will tell
