Just so we are all in the same page: when John does a Team Frog run of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, he isn’t allowed to use Miraidon or Koraidon to get around or he becomes Team Bycicle Lizard, correct?

@@WeeWoo1225 in Michaels first team sky video in emerald, he had a mightyena on his team named airbud(after the older Disney movie about a dog that plays basketball), and his excuse is that the other evil team in hoenn used poochyena and mightyena all the time, despite their speciality not being normal or dark, so that’s why he used it.

Dialga may not be a flying type, but Dialga is the pokemon god of time, and as we all know "time flies". Therefore, Dialga is fair use for Team Sky.

Okay okay okay. The stories of Team Sky in Hisuian did not spread in Sinoh, it spread Hoenn. Think about it Team Magma heard stories of the evil team on the Wyrdeer and Sneazler which obviously means the land is the best while Team Aqua says no the evil leader on the Basculegion so obviously the sea is the best. The true name of the evil team was lost in history. Then a young Mikey having to deal with these two decided to form the TRUE evil team Team Sky. And then he had to be sent back in time when he was in Sinoh due to closeness of location so he could cause the stories that would ultimately lead to his formation.

My headcanon for why Gyarodos cannot learn "fly" is that, until gen 7, "fly" was used to carry a trainer somewhere, and Gyarodos is too ferocious for that.

The fact that Mikey thinks 15 year olds can't have beards is absurd, I've been growing one since I was midway through middle school at 12 or 13
Depends on genetics/ancestry, some have little to no facial hair even as adults and others are extremely hairy in general.
For example, I didn't start growing any until I was around 20 yrs old and even then have more then either of my older brothers.
If all 3 of us did "No-Shave November" by the end I would be vastly hairier then them.
(Yes I have a "Female" screen name but that is by choice for various reasons and refuse to use real name online).
I've been growing a mustache and a beard since I was 10, for Arkoos's sake!

I'm gonna defend Mikey here:
Using ride Pokemon that aren't flying isn't inconsistent, it's pragmatic. Wyrdeer lets Mikey get around faster, Ursaluna finds useful items, Basculegion you have to use as part of the story so he didn't have a choice, ditto Sneasler. It's not his fault the game doesn't let you fly until the final act.
His thing with Gyarados isn't inconsistent, it's character development. The run where he spurned it was his first, then he started second guessing that judgement in later runs before being flung to the past where he saw first hand that it was indeed a creature of the sky.
John, if you ever have Team Frog merch made, I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat.

The problem is, he can't. Sneasler, Braviary and Basculiegon are required to progress in the game (this is why his rage at Mikey using the rides was unwarranted imo)

Honestly, no matter which Decidueye you end up getting, it loses its flying type. Michael should've seen this coming. Although...Has he already done a Team Sky-playthrough of the Alola-region? If not, the screw-up is at least acceptable as long as he stays in-character.
