Software developers, QA & Testers !DO NOT! set release dates, or enforece release date compliance. Companies [EA] do that. No dev wants to release broken anything ever. That is forced by the company. And when it happens it is like working years to teach your toddler how to walk, talk & say thank you only to have the school bus whisk them away on the 1st day of school naked & without there lunch. It is very heartbreaking to see good code shipped naked & hungry.

As a QA I confirm! You are so right! People think QAs don't find bugs (we do miss them sometimes, but that's not like 100000 bugs) when in fact, bugs are prioritized and fixed from critical to minor. What happens is a lot of bugs are not fixed due to lack of time and deadlines are usually set by the managers of the company/client.

Can I just say regarding the Developers on the wedding pack, I appreciate you not throwing them under the bus. My husband is a software developer and many times he'll tell corporate that things aren't working and are not ready and they force things to be pushed out anyways. Also I appreciate you telling people to not buy thy pack. The more people we have refusing to spend money on a broken pack the more likely they are to fix it. If everyone buys it now they won't have a much incentive to fix it quickly. Can we say "Dine Out" Lol.
They have been trying to fix Dine Out. I hope this pack isn't a mystery like DO. Also RoM was unexpectedly broken with posions on release day, and they fixed that rather than thinking "we'll we got our money, they love it " like you're saying. Probably other packs had glitches that I can't remember.
I know it’s hard for people to understand devs don’t make all the decisions - they are the makers of the game not the captains. These companies are huge wirh so many teams, it’s much more complex! I wish people could understand. ❤️
The sad truth is they’re probably being exploited. Ea is a monster like all the other triple A corporations have been this year. We just have to hope one day they can move shop and maybe fight for copyright.
I've been to a wedding where there was no wedding. I was 7. We sat in the middle of nowhere rural church 3 hours, it was hot as hell. My cousin never showed up. She was stranded at the airport & no one knew! You can't take a cab 6 hours outside Chicago. At least not in the 80s. We were kicked out of the church because the funeral needed to start. So everyone went across the street & down a few yards to the reception restaurant. She came in hours later hysterical. One of my cousin's was sent running down the country road to see if the Nuns could find the Priest. The Priest snuck out of the funeral & they were married in the bar right in front of the darts board. That darts board was renamed after them for decades. "I'm gonna go play some Kim & Nick" was a common though confusing statement in my hometown.

I wonder if the wedding pack will ever be fixed honestly. I mean, Dine Out is just forever broken. It’s sad. I decided not to buy it. Maybe if it goes on sale… I am more of a builder anyway.

@@sarcasmismylove1221 Not sure about Andrea here but a lot of people have issues with the food never arriving (or doing so after several Sim hours), other Sims taking your Sims' food, other Sims constantly chatting with your Sims or the host/waiter and so on. It just doesn't seem to function as (probably?) intended. Unless you were sarcastic (due to your name) in which case, nice one :D
@@glaciemdraco oh wow, I never had issues like that, it's just so sad that they released a broken pack, snowy escape is also kinda broken, you can't do the event of the climbing if you have the vampire back from what I read, hopefully they'll fix it, I'm gonna write to them🙏

Same. I love to build & I only gameplay when I have a reason to. Gameplay being entirely broken I default to building. I've been building a save game since 2018. Still only ever played a few Sim days in it because they keep adding new worlds to fill & every time they add a new pack to introduce new bugs which defaults me back to building.
The pack did not give me issues until the actual wedding gameplay. Then it was chaos. The venue has 2 arches so my guests split between both. My sims walked down the wrong aisle, would only do the spousal kiss at one arch, the attendants wouldn't participate or the celebrant and 2 people died. But it was still fun and I love all the build items and CAS. Might test using a venue with just 1 arch and aisle area to see if that helps. Love your content regardless of what pack Deli!

Same thing happaned to me lol. I think that it will never get fixed with two arches on the same lot. So sadly no double weddings. Also I see a big difference between the simmers playing the unreleased version and the released one. They fixed ALOT of the the issue and bugs but not all of them. So I do think they will have another update.

I went through the Landgraab house and replaced all the large panel windows with the large panel windows from the Eco pack, which are far less expensive and gave me a lot of cash to work with for renovations! It was so satisfying because it kept the overall look of the original build
Hey! You probably know this, but if you move a sim in and load into the lot with build mode before actually playing in or loading the house nothing will depreciate in value. You just have to note how many funds you have before so you don't go over budget! Your willow creek renos have inspired me to try some and doing it this way has saved me more than once. 😂
that's what I was thinking...or money cheat the original value before moving in but after deleting? that would require two moves though.
What a cute house. I've been renovating that neighborhood in Willow Creek with tiny homes. I'm so disappointed the wedding pack wasn't fixed by the release patch. It will be a no for me unless they actually fix it. I'm still mad I own Dine Out and it's broken after all this time.

As someone who doesn't really care about weddings or events in my game play (since they are a huge pain in the butt) I was more excited about the BB and CAS items of this pack. I'm on the fence about buying it just for that since if I do get it I would ideally like to run weddings smoothly too. Either way this video was great and I LOVED what you did with this house!

You inspired me to do a whole world of maxis renovations with the same budget too :) three done, dozens to go, but it's a great challenge to have to work within the existing outer walls and budget
I do it from world mode though, and just write down the original value. This way it doesn't matter if you delete furniture as many times as you must.

Some questionable choices but overall I actually really like this!! Love this series too - inspiring me to redo the worlds in my game too!
im not sure what they have in australia but here in the states there are companies that install solar panels for private residences for a small fee and then you “rent” them from the company. essentially you’ll collect more energy than what you consume so a your electric bill gets covered and any additional energy collected is sold by the solar panel company to your local electric company, ie your rent.
I'm such a modern farmhouse type of gal, I never build industrial like this but whenever Deli does it I'm so blown away by how cool it looks! I'm really happy you're still working on the base game refresh. I love my Deli Newcrest save and would be so happy to be able to combine the two one day into a big Deli Save! 💚

I really appreciate the fact that you let the sim ''move in and move around the house while you show it'' I sometimes miss that about those building video's, perhaps it's just me who wants to see what they will do in their new house and if the sim actually likes it. :p
Omg I love Laguna Beach and Lauren’s parents house!! On the dvd 📀 she gave a tour of the house and yes she did talk about the trees being brought in by crane 😂 totally forgot that but when you said it all came back!!! Love the build you did an amazing job as always!!

Fun fact: you do have to use cranes to move full grown palm trees. They are extremely dense and very heavy. You do not want to crash into a palm tree

The Engaged in Conflict scenario is hard! 😂 but I still managed to get them married using the new pack. I had to reset sims frequently, the ceremony was so broken. But I’m still loving the pack. I only had half my weddings work in the base game anyway.
Do you prefer the new wedding or old ones? I can see how both are beneficial. I also wonder if you can throw a non-wedding party and still get married 🤔
@@sim771 overall, I like the new weddings better, I had so much trouble with the base game ones. They kept walking away from the arch, and if it rained, the whole thing failed for outdoor ceremonies. With the new pack, my sims were successfully married, I just had to reset them a few times. I’m going to try again today using Carl’s mod to see if everything works better.
@@Rabellaka. thanks for the info, i find everyone is raging so much you cant figure out what is what. I have issues with the base game weddings too where no one shows up to witness and the guests go take naps on every bench in sight 🤦🏻♀️ i think i'd just hire a mixologist and dj/entertainer using the options on the objects and since the wedding isnt timed, it could flow better
I completed this one by eloping at the town hall in Tartosa, which was a bit more effort than I usually put in to marriage! My sims were back to being soulmates then, and got a "secret" outcome that reflected that. :-)
I was just getting ready to buy the wedding update and I said well let me check out your reviews cuz you are the truth and I will be waiting until they fix all the bugs before I buy it

I'm loving these renos! Honestly a new world and new CAS/build mode items is worth it for me. Obviously disappointing the game play is lacking, but I'm not really surprised at this point. I still can't even use dine out 😒

I agree the gurus aren’t at fault, I’ve seen plenty of people bad mouthing them and literally threatening them, that’s not cool, I’m disappointed that that EA hasn’t had someone explain what’s happening, so I’m always defending the sims 4, and I do love the game, but right now I’m just sad, but I’d never threaten or bad mouth anyone, great video. 💙👍🏼
The game should be tested a bit more but simmers need to understand (maybe because they mainly play casual games) that games usually have bugs on release. Yes, it's not ideal but corporations have deadlines, which is understandable. Whenever EA give us something we want, people complain about something else. People need to understand how games work because the hate train is making the sims community a bit toxic. I love that you Deli usually see both sides. In my opinion, if you play a game that bothers you so much, don't play the game.
