Such a good question! I don't think there is a "minimum number of followers". Instead, I think it's "can you generate interest on a specific topic?". Basically, if you post 100 "valuable" videos and 10 of them have higher performance than the rest, and all 10 videos are the same topic (let's let "how to grow on Instagram"). You have a topic that is validated that people are interested in it! Even if you have 250 followers, you KNOW that that topic could convert well because your audience is connecting with it 😁 and if all 250 people buy your $10 product, that's $2,500. All because you validated the interest and what people wanted. 🧡🧡

So.. not bashing but just pointing out a point. If a entity has a customer base of x amount. But charges a monthly fee, that may be great for some. Considering the capabilities. However at the same time, if other entities keep a % but have a much much larger customer base. Doesn't mean it should be excluded. This video suggests to upload your "ebook" to a single location. Isn't multiple avenues better? Considering other entities may have agreements in place specifically to obtain more of the traffic that may want your ebook. Now I'm not saying go find every marketplace in the world to create a product on. But a few could be a better start. This could even be used as a freebie for a double opt-in to grow your newsletter. Just my $0.02

I’ve thought about self-publishing a collection of ghost stories from my podcast (retelling of historical ghost stories) because it’s hard to get publishers or agents interested in short story collections, but I’m not sure I could sell it without marketing help from an agent and publisher.
I'm not familiar with publishing a book or the advantages that may come with working with an agent or publisher. But as someone who LOVES ghost stories, I'd absolutely buy a Creators collection of short-stories if it was independently published! 🙌🏽

I'm the same as you, but I'm encouraged by all the faceless channels I've seen selling merch and courses. So I don't believe we need to show our face, we just need to prove our authority on the topic.

i'm thinking of developing an ebook but for the life of me, i cant imagine why anyone would pay money for an ebook on for example '...breakfast for kids' when these recipes are many and freely available on various youtube channels? same with most topics...hmm, guess i just have to research this some more
There are millions of people on Amazon or kobo and other book publishing platforms that can buy your book. Stop having that self limiting belief... 😊
