While it's incredible work, his series takes A LOT of liberties. I take it as full fan fiction rather than an accurate retelling of the life of the hero of time.
@@angelo8606 Still, there is truth in his fanfictions, if you retrace Link's life in OoT, he's just a child who is sent to do the dirty work that should normally be done by soldiers and armies (so basically adults), who loses all his friends when he became an adult himself, think again, to become a sage you have to go beyond your mortal condition so must die and we see it with the different characters in the game (Darunia who is nowhere when you enter the Volvagia room, Ruto who suddenly disappears above Link's head when she sees him again in the water temple and most obvious of all the death of Naboru by the hands of Koume and Kotake) and if you add to all that the end of the game where Link is sent back to the past to supposedly live his childhood while he is an adult in the body of a child and who on top of that loses his best friend (Navi) since we can clearly see that she leaves him once his mission is over (and that's the whole synopsys of Majora's Mask) and in the past no one knows that he saved the world or what he went through as he was sent back to before his first encounter with Zelda so he has to carry this weight alone, poor guy, so yes of course there is reason to think that the life of the hero of time is a real carnage. I'm so happy MajorLink included Link's Secret Moves from Twilight Princess, I was geeking out when that happened haha. I get so nostalgic going back to the older episodes cause I watched the first 2 episodes cause I began them while still relatively early on my 3D Zelda journey and I started playing Ocarina of Time 3D Hero Mode and love it so far (just the Great Deku Tree dungeon)
There's so many subtle references to other games. Like to Skyward, when he wears his armor with the exact same animation SS Link wore his uniform. The dialogue too is almost the exact same "I've had my doubts about the color" etc.
My only fear is that if the creators see this they will do as Nintendo tends to do and take it down even though all animation and music is original. I love how they change something about the three chosen ones... Ganondorf: from rage (power) to wisdom Zelda: from wisdom to courage Link: from courage to rage (power) Thats really emotional man... How MajorLink did it...
Honestly, the level of intimacy and empathy towards the lore beyond the stereotypes and standard fares of the game, is truly what makes immersing in the Legend of Zelda such an endless experience of wonder and depth. I hope it continues to do so in this series that helps recapture the sorrowful and yet beautiful connections that made the stories and legends a timeless endeavor for generations.
The absolute best part of this story, is depicting Link's part in the Curse. Just like Ganondorf, Link is also cursed with a form of possession. Whereas Demise's influence on Ganondorf is like a plague eating away at him before consuming him completely, Hylia's influence on Link is a lot more subtle, but still powerfully absolute when need be, if he begins to sway from his "purpose". "Hylia needed someone with an unbreakable spirit." In other words, someone who's spirit couldn't be broken from her grasp.
I see it a bit more meta. Link's curse is literally us, the players. He can't make his own decisions because we are the ones "possessing" him. You can see it in the multi-choice dialogs, that he has his own wants but he has no choice. The player decides what he does and says. Ganondorf's curse is the story itself. He's the villain and must play that role over and over again in each new game. He too has no choice.
can you please stop making comments like this?? you're dealing with legend of zelda, where fan interpretation is the backbone of the lore, if you don't like that, just find another series i guess, cause you'll never fit in with this community, you'll always cause fights@@Xeno_Solarus
After seeing this, I really wonder if Deebeegeek has heard of or read the official Twilight Princess Manga. It may not be something that you could easily react to, and I don't expect him to make a video on it, but it also ties Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess together rather beautifully, while expanding on everything that made the game good. Such as the Hero's Shade being far more important of a character. I just finished a rereading, and it's probably one of the best "official" stories to come out of Zelda. One of my favorite mangas and stories in general.
OK Saria part broke me i balled like a baby, damit, god, this brings back s much, i loved then games when i was a kid, beat both ocarina of time, and Majoras Mask back in the day, and seeing this is just perfect

Wind Waker showed us a Ganondorf with humanity. I've learned that some of this humanity is just form localization. He never mentioned wanting to help his people in the OG Japanese text. He was petty, he knew he did wrong, and he continued to commit atrocities. His justifications were faulty and made up. He's still a terrible person that you're supposed to hate. _But..._ *He was tired.* He wanted to use the Triforce to bring back Hyrule. But why? Hyrule was worthless. It was just a husk, sitting under the water, doing... nothing. I like to believe that Ganondorf wanted to move on. But the curse of the demon tribe said no. The curse said "it is your destiny to try to rule Hyrule."' Even though Hyrule was worthless, he was drawn to it. I like to believe that Demise had loosened up inside him. The gods really made it hard for him to get anything done with the flood business. And because of the loosening of the curse, Ganondorf's humanity started to show. He still wanted to rule Hyrule, but did he _really?_ He has to come up with petty, fake justifications for why he wants it. He's clinging on to the little humanity he's got. He's ignoring the pain and bloodshed he caused. Because he doesn't want to believe that he did that. He doesn't want to believe that his destiny isn't what he actually wants. When the king steals his wish and floods Hyrule, Ganondorf breaks down and laughs. He's fully lost it. You can hear the madness in his voice. But you can also almost hear relief. Relief that the curse is over. This is how I choose to interpret Wind Waker. And the way Major Link depicts Ganondorf in Episode 5 goes along with that. Whether intentional or not, we see a Ganondorf whose humanity is starting to shine through. We see a Ganondorf that knows that ruling Hyrule isn't what he really wants. Unlike the events leading to Wind Waker, Demise's curse isn't weakening. It's getting stronger. But he's using all the humanity he has to try to end that curse. But Ganondorf never had a chance. Demise _let_ Ganondorf's humanity come out. He _let_ him level with Link. He _let_ Ganondorf believe he had a chance. He was being manipulated. When that humanity finally got through to Link, Ganondorf-- the Gerudo --was tossed aside and murdered. We wanted to believe Ganondorf was right. We wanted to believe there was a chance to stop the curse. I remember first watching the episode and thinking "is Hylia the bad guy?" But by the end of the episode, it makes sense. The reason the Spirit of the Hero was refusing to let Link level with Ganondorf, is because Hylia knew that Demise was just waiting. Ganondorf wants to end the destiny, and Hylia is sitting there saying "we can't. we literally cannot. No matter what we do, we cannot break this curse." And it's heartbreaking. This is of course, my own interpretation of the episode. But I think I'm at least somewhat near the mark here. I apologize for writing such a big block of text. But man, Major Link did such a phenomenal job that it gets me so excited to talk about it, and think about it, and theorize. If anyone stopped to read this entire comment, or even just part of it, I'd be curious to hear your own thoughts and interpretations. Please don't talk about Tears of the Kingdom though! I haven't gotten too far into it and I do NOT want spoilers.
@Kyle15155 That's the beauty of interpretation. I will say though, since writing this, I've become much more informed about how the curse of the demon tribe works, and through that I've come to understand better who Ganondorf is as a character. I still like to believe part of my stroke-inducing headcanon, but a lot of little bits and details have changed. And while it doesn't resonate with me as much, it's more accurate at least.
Man so glad you uploaded this video , i was waiting for your reaction of ep 5 from a long time, I always look forward for your reactions they are so special, thanks for the content and i wish you all the best bro 💙

It’s so symbolic for Zelda to say welcome home, when her future iteration knew deep down inside sending him home, wasn’t what she wanted to do, but did what she felt was right
Man! Kudos to MajorLink for this AMAZING fan series! This actually made me feel for this version of Ganondorf. F**k you Demise you evil bastard for causing this cycle of pain and misery, just because you lost to a hylian boy a third your size however many thousands of years ago it was in Skyward Sword! 😭.
I'm wondering, this just popped into my mind and maybe someone said before and that's why but what if Navi was really the spirit of Links mother? The Great Deku couldn't save her life but he could bring her back to help her son when he needed it but only in the form of a fairy. Once he finished his mission she had to go back to the other side... thoughts?
Wow. This is brilliant. I'm not often a watcher of fan stuff because I like to have my own head Canon but I watch most Deebee stuff and decided to watch this with him. I'm thoroughly impressed with this story
The ocarina of time link is one of my favorite characters and I think this is the best way of showing what happened in between majora’s mask and twilight, princess
Imagine if we'd got this Ganondorf in TotK, so SO much more interesting and deserving of the name. You know how BotW and TotK are inspired by Princess Mononoke? The boar is not a demon. The substance that covers it is.

Seeing you lose your mind over episode 5 was so real. When it first dropped, I had to watch the episode twice and then I didn't know what to do with myself for the rest of the day. It never fails to hit so hard.
Imagine a new Zelda game with a branching story where you discover the truth about the curse and that Ganondorf is trying to break it and that you can side with him.
Amazing, ganondorf has so much more character just said I knew the timeline because of the armour and ends with him waking to help twilight princess link
45:20 I wonder what it would be like to get the races masks again in a new Zelda title, oh ho the possibilities. OoT/MM Link is the most tragic hero from the Zelda series, BotW/TotK Zelda is probably the most tragic princess, and maybe Wind Waker Ganondorf is the tragic villain?
Hey DB since I know you're eagerly looking forward to tears of the kingdom and I'm sure you want the best story experience possible I highly recommend you allow your moderators to give you a very specific hint about a very specific Quest that will show you the correct order to find a certain set of cutscenes. Many other streamers didn't catch this particular secret that is actually kind of obvious and because of it they experienced aspects of the story out of order spoiling themselves. NO SPOILERS: Unlike breath of the wild tears of the Kingdom gives you direct hints showing you the proper order of events for both the main quests and the main side quest. I will not go into any further detail and I've been as vague as possible but if any of your moderators have played the game already they know what I'm talking about. Love your channel and I'm looking forward to the rest of your Zelda Journey.❤ PS Anyone who reads this comment do not spoil anything in the replies!!!
This fan made series is a freaking masterpiece. I’ve always wanted to see a Zelda movie or series and after seeing this, I don’t see why Nintendo hasn’t made something like this. ALSO PLEASE LET IT BE ANIMATED!
Sent this, and Major Link’s playlist, to my dad because I used to sit and watch him play ocarina and majoras mask when I was a kid and I thought he’d like this as much as I did. Currently watching it for a second time.
Imagine in the next Zelda game, its the Zelda from TotK and BotW, that smart, nerdy, obsessed with archeology Zelda, who finds a written account of Skyword sword, and realizes that Ganondorf isnt the evil, hes cursed by it. She comes up with a plan for the next Zelda in line, to obtain the Triforce and WISH his curse away. Too bad BotW and TotK made no mention of the Triforce, but it could still be around.

Twilight's Shadow is another great 2 parter of a dramatized ending to Twilight Princess made by Majorlink. Truly a great Zelda video.
So glad you finally get the reference to skyward sword.
Fun fact that probably everyone knows by now but the guy narriating the begining of E. 1 is the guy who voices the great deku tree and Ravali in BOTW
I missed most of this when you streamed it. Great to see it here all put together like this! This series is so well done.
Oot was my first zelda game growing up its what made me fall in love with the series even though its fan made it fits in with the story so well ❤
The absolute best part of this story, is depicting Link's part in the Curse.
You are making a lot of assumptions and taking a lot of liberties.
@@Xeno_Solarus Educated Theories based on the implications of what was shown to us.
can you please stop making comments like this?? you're dealing with legend of zelda, where fan interpretation is the backbone of the lore, if you don't like that, just find another series i guess, cause you'll never fit in with this community, you'll always cause fights@@Xeno_Solarus
Thank you for saying it's our fault.
Link is suffering because of Us.
I always wondered how he died to become a spirit for Wolf Link... makes perfect sense. What a story... damn.
MajorLink had fun with modified Hyrule Warriors models.
I've been meaning to rewatch all of these back to back again, what great timing!
Oh man, such an emotional story and so good to watch again and see your reaction again❤ can't wait for the next episode!!
Given that the Hero Of Twilight is this Link's descendant......LINK CLAPPED THOSE CHEEKS OFF SCREEN
confirmed
he sure did
OK Saria part broke me i balled like a baby, damit, god, this brings back s much, i loved then games when i was a kid, beat both ocarina of time, and Majoras Mask back in the day, and seeing this is just perfect
Glad you were finally able to watch these they are so well made and an amazing watch!
Great to see another upload Deebeedad! Sometimes i forget how amazing and sad the zelda stories are, i cant wait to see what's next!
This was great from majorlink, and i can't wait for more content on your channel!
That was without a doubt. The most awesome beautifully told I cried so much.
I can't wait to finish it, please keep up the good work. D***, you guys are good.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Freaking finally ! I was waiting for your reaction since this new chapter released
I just can´t wait for the next chapter
Wind Waker showed us a Ganondorf with humanity.
I've learned that some of this humanity is just form localization. He never mentioned wanting to help his people in the OG Japanese text. He was petty, he knew he did wrong, and he continued to commit atrocities. His justifications were faulty and made up. He's still a terrible person that you're supposed to hate. _But..._
*He was tired.*
He wanted to use the Triforce to bring back Hyrule. But why? Hyrule was worthless. It was just a husk, sitting under the water, doing... nothing. I like to believe that Ganondorf wanted to move on. But the curse of the demon tribe said no. The curse said "it is your destiny to try to rule Hyrule."'
Even though Hyrule was worthless, he was drawn to it.
No matter what we do, we cannot break this curse."
And it's heartbreaking.
I'm Soo glad your views are not canon.
I had a stroke reading this garbage.
@@DaNintendude i like what you typed that guy above is just being a dick
Man Link got his a$$ handed to him. After everything he went through and all the enemies beaten and he nearly dies to an enemy he has beaten before.
+DarthDragon007 Well that's because Ganondorf had the Triforce of Power...
...even though he didn't know about it yet.
Omg yes!! I love majorlink! I’m so happy you watched this 😊😊
Your in for a TREAT dude. Amazing series by @MajorLink. Best fan made video(s) ever made
It just gets me excited when i see this legend make a video
Man so glad you uploaded this video , i was waiting for your reaction of ep 5 from a long time, I always look forward for your reactions they are so special, thanks for the content and i wish you all the best bro 💙
It's perfect in every way that it could be
This is such an amazing interpretation, execution and storytelling. MajorLink and team, thankyou for the efforts and talent. It's phenominal!
Deebee, beautiful reaction, this story hits so bloody hard.
Hope Deebee dad life is going well for you and the fam.
It’s so symbolic for Zelda to say welcome home, when her future iteration knew deep down inside sending him home, wasn’t what she wanted to do, but did what she felt was right
No matter how many times I watch Major Link's series, I can't stop crying.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
the Ending of Episode 5 ALWAYS gets me....
Once he finished his mission she had to go back to the other side... thoughts?
Time to rewatch this series for the 1000th time, but this time with dee 😁
agree watchin it right now
the chapter when Link hugs Zelda always gets me emotional
I was so blown away when I first saw this . Occasionally it shows back up on my feed and I always revisit it.
Wow. This is brilliant. I'm not often a watcher of fan stuff because I like to have my own head Canon but I watch most Deebee stuff and decided to watch this with him. I'm thoroughly impressed with this story
AAA! I was just thinking about if you were ever gonna catch up to this series! So glad you did. All of MajorLinks’s videos are the best!
The ocarina of time link is one of my favorite characters and I think this is the best way of showing what happened in between majora’s mask and twilight, princess
Malon is OoT Links canon ship and no one can convince me otherwise, it would also just make so much sense considering the start of TP
They would be so good each other and although Zelda exists, feel like she would have one-sided feelings but end up in a really good friendship
Saria's part was my favorite but this hit hard. 54:03 - 54:18
me too i love when The Hero of Time brakes down in front of her one of my favorite parts of the whole series so emotional
Love this series! So well done!
Great reaction, dee. Awesome storytelling. Imagine a live action tv show in this style.
Imagine if we'd got this Ganondorf in TotK, so SO much more interesting and deserving of the name.
You know how BotW and TotK are inspired by Princess Mononoke? The boar is not a demon. The substance that covers it is.
Major link is amazing! Love it DeeBee!
I loved your reactions to every big zelda game that you played and finished so far. Big nintendo games such as this phenomenal series made me love Nintendo more. Hope to see you soon in tears of the kingdom Deebeegeek!
1:15:50 And we have come full circle. Love seeing your reactions, and welcome to the fandom.
I never really new that legend of Zelda could be more than books and games
@@KMinfinity then you were never a true LOZ fan.
I fricking lost it at "Link... all caps." (2:12:45)
i would never have seen this without you DB, thank you for sharing.
Holy COW! 😳😱 DAMN! This is how Nintendo needs to make a Zelda movie! Dang! That was amazing!
I never fail to cry while watching Major link's Hero purpose. Hell all his videos are emotion but this makes me cry everytime.
That bit with ganondorf in the forest is something I've always wanted to see!!
You can practically see the gears turning to the point of realization.
I'm not crying Dee. I just have an allergy in both of my eyes. Hello from Central America
Link's break down in episode 3 broke me but it is one of my favorite episodes
ive commented on a few of his videos, but his animations are so good it makes me appreciate LoZ so much more than i already do
"I actually miss navi" was a statement i didn't think I'd hear anyone ever say.
This must be a game, it´s unbelievable masterful, and connect all the dots. This is pure heart love for the series. Nintendo, DO IT
Ngl I bawled my eyes out when I first watched this
Your reactions are always priceless and I love it!
Ganondorf really took over Hyrule just by playing tennis
Insta clicked
Same!
Link had his "You're pretty good" moment with Sheik.
This made me happy and sad at the same time. It is beautiful
Love your channel and I'm looking forward to the rest of your Zelda Journey.❤
PS Anyone who reads this comment do not spoil anything in the replies!!!
Great video!
Thank You MajorLink ✨💯❤️❤️🔥❣️😊
