Surfed last Thursday. So between the tide swings, wind, work, cracked slab on the house, roof repair at rental house, haven't been able to get out this week. Stoked to have these vids rolling again!
Last time I surfed was this past Saturday in venice beach California breakwater. I am completely sold on everything you just talked about. Thank you for putting it together like that, just saved me any my friends hours of planning. I want that barrel like my next meal. Getting the crew to commit to a trip asap. Thanks again. Keith

Just got back from a camping trip to Big Sur, CA. Paddled out at Sand Dollar Cove. Waves were pumping! 6-8ft w/ clean faces! It was early morning and the sun was just coming up over the bluffs. Unfortunately, the sets were so consistent and the rip current was so strong that it took over a half hour to get past the break. Finally caught a solid left that took me over half way back to shore and I was pooped. I just couldn't get back out past the break again. So frustrating but always fun to surf a new spot!

Last time I surfed? Just got done 40 minutes ago at El Porto, Manhattan Beach. Forecast looks good this weekend! There are some great dudes that work in playa gigante, town just south of colorados, with a boat to take you around on off days. Look up Conrad there, super rad guy knows the place well. Great episode! Making me want to get on a plane and head back down there. Take care!

Last time I surfed was 5 days ago. At Scheveningen in the Netherlands. Weak windswell unfortunately. Next time will be tomorrow- and monday morning. North west swells are coming which is good.
Surfed head high 30 knot offshore Raglan yesterday. Wish I had a Pigdog out there and a waterproof bag as you guessed it, it was raining in sheets too. =)
Surfed this evening, in good old New Zealand fun 4ft off shore got some goodies!
I surfed last Saturday here in NJ. It was a very fun waist high day
Loving the new vibe dude! Surfed this morn, my car key lock box ceased and had to call road side assist to come to bolt cut it off and smash it apart. Man those things are tough, took a while but we managed to brake it eventually. If any one uses lock boxes I can't stress enough the importance of a quick fresh water rinse after use and occasional squirt of WD-40 to keep that corrosion at bay.
Thanks for this. Headed to CR on my first safari and was planning on Nica for round 2 next year. Looks like I know where to go and who to talk to. Paddled out this morning in Venice-2-4 and mostly closed out.
Surfed really fun waves last Monday with just a buddy out
I surfed North Shore Oahu Sept 13th, and the entire week and a half before. The best day was at Rocky Point when it was around 6 ft. Which for pre Oct on the NS, made me really stoked. Super good video, crazy informative, makes me want to go so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so bad!

I surfed yesterday at Ponce Inlet, FL on my JT handshaped assymetrical with 3 of my closest friends. We laughed, we talked smack to each other, we crapped our pants when we saw a shark. Everyday I surf is the best day of my life.
I last went surfing the 23rd of october, it was choppy 4 foot with strong onshore wind but I managed a few nice lefts at Jensen Beach, Florida. Need more waves!
I went surfing on the 14th in Western Australia , there was a sweet off shore breeze and a swell of 2 m , also got my first barrel👌🏼

I surfed Salt Creek this morning. While we were surfing we had a shark encounter. Everyone got out, the surf class for the high school and college that were crowding the lineup were not allowed back in so me and my friends went back out and got to surf fun little Salt Creek waves to ourselves.
Last time I surfed was a week ago at Sennen Cove in Cornwall. It was super stormy and conditions were heavy.

Last time was Friday Nov. 13th which I thought was gonna be sketchy. My go-to break is Shell Beach in SLO county where when the stars align, the rock shelf throws long gorgeous rights. Had myself a 6footer than ran 100 yds. Going to Vallarta for New Years I could definitely use that bag!!! Digging the new direction bud.

I have stayed in this exact spot and it is absolutely incredible and very cheap for what you get. There is an American guy named Buzz from San Diego who rents out properties here and he is a very friendly guy who also shreds. Would highly recommend. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
I surfed last Saturday. I had pinkeye but went out anyway. Turns out salt water has no affect.

nothing has changed. rented a car last week and drove to rancho santana. took 5 hours of getting lost, driving behind buses with kids, driving on roads under construction, getting your windshield washed with water by angry kids, and screaming at my sleeping navigator wife. going back in june and using your guy and dakine bag.
Thank you for the laugh (I hope it's funny in hindsight for you too.) These stories about hell drives between Managua and Santana/Iguana are so common. I've never done it without a Taxi driven by a local and I likely never will.
So..what was the total cost per person for six days including airfare?

The last time I surfed was monday 17th of AUGUST at the end of a season of teaching young german kids in a Surfcamp on the french atlantic coast (Mimizan-Plage). The whole freaking season I did not have one outstanding session. It was so frustrating, because the swells were there, but the banks weren't working. Whenever you could get a glimpse or a tiny bit of hope for a working bank developing over time, it would be followed by a massive swell the following day ruining everything once more. Needles to say it was the first time I didn't feel sorry about leaving the ocean behind... Now I am back in Germany endulging in the winter blues and daydreaming about waves like the ones in you video.
Nicaragua or south America has been on my bucket list for a long time now. Cheers for the great insight and an awesome show.
Last time I surfed was with my 6yr old son @cruzdinofa in Ocean City NJ on Veterans Day, Nov. 11th. Our waves are up tomorrow and the wind is offshore, we will be back at it again for sure.
6 weeks ago. O'side harbor, south jetty. It was still warm & I was able to cross off nighttime moonlight naked surf sesh off my bucket list.

Thought I'd drop you a thank you note for turning me onto Buzz and the beauty that is Playa Colorado-had a ridiculously fun time, scored some all-time waves and ate heartily. Great place, solid dude and tough to come back to SoCal waves after that.

You should start reveiwing surfboards that are good for a specific spot. For example a board for trestles,steamer lane etc

What is the situation on malaria and zika viruses in the rivas district? do you need vaccines?
+Dillon McClellan Great question - I have no idea. I have never had any vaccinations before traveling there, and I"ve never seen or heard of any malaria or zika in Nicaragua. But absence of evidence doesn't mean evidence of absence. So consult another source.

Last time I surfed was way to long ago (as I've had 7 weeks with a broken collarbone...). I surfed some very windy swell (18m/s) near Aarhus in Denmark. Found a little cover from the wind and 1,5m sets. Not a place that would normally be considered surfable.
BTW. ECTIC concepts by Dale Walker, check it out. Very innovative.

Last time i went in the water was about a month ago, i drove down from San Bernardino to Temecula to pick my girlfriend up then proceeded to Oceanside Harbor where we spent the night in my 4runner which had me pretty sore the next morning but i woke up to 4-5 foot sloping swells at dawn patrol. El nino has left me really warm in my 4/3 fullsuit so i recently got a 1mm wetsuit top from hurley and tested it in my pool haha, hopefully will get to test it soo during the christmas holiday! someone go surf this week for me \m/!

last surf..... tuesday, 11-17, Seal Beach Pier, knee to thigh-hi funness on the EC 9'6.... So much fun on the tiny lefts off the pier and a right at the first guard tower (or where it usually stands during the summer). And for a novice like me, learning to properly cross-step, it was a blast!!! [note: i have fun in any conditions....ask Billy Runaway]

Just got back a week and a half ago from Red Frog Bungalows, Bastimentos Island Bocas Del Toro , Panama. Epic trip! Scott. Mikey, and Philip were amazing hosts. Surf was a bit flat until or last day there Nov 11th, a 3-4 swell provided really fun mellow lefts and rights at Black Rocks Near Bocas. Plenty of other super fun things to do on flat days. Beautiful clear clean water.
I surfed 2 footers in Agadir late September... Got skunked the remaining 6 days of the trip! Heading to Peniche Thursday... Hoping for some supertubos!
Last time I surfed was at Del Mar last Wednesday, small but very funny, with a 5'10'' Vulcano Tomahawk. Chris this new show is also amazing. Congratulations. Please talk a little bit more about the countries you visit. Giving a little background on how people live there (like you did showing kids going to school standing on the bus bumper) makes the show even more interesting.
Used to Live in Nica. Popoyo, Tolas, Meat Grinders .... Puerto Sandino can break like Pavones ... but a river mouth. So many great waves up and down the entire Pacific.
Surfed yesterday in knee high gulf coast just north of St. Petersburg, FL. The cold front kicked up some small side shore long/mini Malibu lines. No wetsuit needed. Heading to east Fla. for some 7-9ft conditions on Friday! Great work with the show. It has opened my eyes to aspects of surfing that I never really paid attention to. From fin size and design to concave. It has helped me not only get back on a board from 6 years being stuck on land to developing a different approach to surfing now in my over 30 years.
I live an hour south of Playa Colorado in San Juan Del Sur. This video is spot on in it's description. I surf the south beaches of Remanso, Yankee, and Hermosa. It's great down here. It truly is the endless summer and you can surf everyday. Unless you're building a house, like myself, then you surf 3-4 times per week. Great vid. See you in the water.
Hi Chris (i thk that's your name), Great show. I like how you're going in different directions with the show. I took note of what you said in the last one. This extremely detailed and practical info is reflective of the effort you put into the board related shows. Last surfed here in NY, Long beach last Saturday. Water temp is dropping and we're wearing 4/3s and boots. Gloves de riguer for next session. Here's an idea for another show: Since you mentioned Instagram in this episode, why not feature Instagram accounts you like. I'd start with Boardporn. It would be cool to interview them...I know he's here on the East coast, but maybe record the interview over Skype. Lot's of places you can take the show with your perspectives!

I'm living in Managua and have actually just picked up my latest sled from Bordport after rehabilitating a shoulder injury for the past 10 months. Playa Colorado is now fortunately one of the breaks in my back yard.

Last time I surfed was last week at Ehukai with everyone else on the North Shore, which was not a bad thing because I got to surf with a handful of pros including jordy smith, John John, Kalani Robb, Jack Freestone, Mason Ho, and so many more. Still Stoked a week later!
I can only surf Tuesdays and Thursdays, so today (Thursday) i surfed 3 times; ocean beach, scripps, ocean beach. Waves were sub par at best... Planning a trip to Costa Rica thanks to your last surf trip video (pretty much locked the trip in with girlfriend after she watched the vid) Nicaragua is next up on the list! Thanks for the info on both spots dude, see you in the lineup sometime!

I'm living in Southwest France (for the surf) and have missed the first big swell this winter due to a board and wetsuit repair!! Last surf was 7 days ago in Biarritz!! Needing a morale boost, and a sweet new dry sack would be perfect!!!
Great Video.... aside from the SuperBrand Pigdog do you have any other board recommendations for this trip. Heading there this fall. If you went again what would you bring??
Last time I surfed was Oct 1st, I was in Playa Santa Teresa in Costa Rica. Rented a beaten up tuflite by Al Merrick which I fell in love with (first time surfing a tuflite) mostly because I did not need to "get used to it" like I usually have to surfing a new board, caught the first wave I paddled in to and had a really good time!

Now I've always wondered how your body handles the daily sessions. Typically surf twice a week but if I surf 2 days in a row I'm hurting, at least some shoulder and knee wonkiness :( I am 33 and fit and would think I'd need to train specifically for a trip which would entail daily surf sessions. What you guys do?
