Really like how you added in some applied physics to explain these surfing techniques, especially where you mentioned one of Newton’s sayings/discoveries, “every action has an equal and opposite reaction,” to show how even though you are applying downward force at the tail end of your board, at the bottom of the wave, you still are going to go faster upwards, and in fact the more downward force you apply with your back foot the faster you’ll go in the opposite direction or upwards because waves move in a loop or spiraling motion, very cool!!
Great video! Do you have any tips for how to practice applying back foot pressure, other than just focusing on it while surfing? Maybe some exercises to do on land...
Luca Marquard skateboard manual. Or make your own balance board with some pvc pipe and an old skateboard. Just need to add some rubber to board or pvc pipe.
Its more of a downward weight from all your body onto the tail pad, and at the same time twist your body (particularly your hips). Only pressing on your toes will make you lean too much and make you off balance. Hope that helps, thanks.
A great frontside bottom turn is a beautiful thing to behold. Great tips!

Another well reasoned and clearly explained lesson. Excellent. Excellent measured delivery and that voice!
sexy voice!
Wow really like the elbow tucked in tip, the more you crank it back the more torque you can get.
great video. Thank you very much

Brilliant
You got one of these for going backside for all the wayward stockholders out here?
When you say "twisted force to the tailpad" do you mean pressing with the outside of your foot while pressing with your toes?
