AVAA - I think having Sid Vicious on the album cover is incredibly fitting for this album of indifference. Where Gunn is primarily interested in running a wrestling promotion and just happens to be a fantastic rapper/beat selector. Sid, while being a fan favorite charisma machine in the world of wrestling.... would constantly leave companies and no-show events to pursue his real passion, of all things, Softball.
As a young black male who grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood/community in California…its very cool and strange how someone who’s not black can make me feel so proud to be black in a world that makes you feel “other” …I wore my supreme blientele westside gunn hoodie yesterday bc I think its an amazing piece of art and I tucked it away bc for whatever reason i started to think of it how other people would look at it instead of how i looked at it and how much i love that album…anyways i put about 50 of professor skye’s in my watch later queue. AVAA you’re truly appreciated thank you!!! Im watching the kendrick lamar watch the party die review rn but i wanted to leave this comment here and say how much i appreciate your work/passion for hip hop and black culture🙏🏾👊🏾❤️
AVAA Gunn is a master at creating texture rich atmospheres + dj drama added to the layers. Also, him just spitting one verse per song adds value to the verse to me.
AVAA Professor Skye, a little bit off-topic but I was wondering if you ever checked out Boldy's physical-only releases. ADU produced by Real Bad Man, and 1LB produced by Your Boy Posca. I love em both and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of each. I recommend checking em out, especially ADU.
AVAA. The day before Still Praying Westside Gunn also released an EP called 11, but I didn't really care for it. This project is way superior over the EP. Loved the way you read the childrens story by the way! 😂

Has an unmistakable ear for beats. I thought prime Rick Ross was good, but Gunn is amazing.
