    Such a cool car. Glad that in 2022 we still have pretty radical models like this or the Hellcats.

    Needs the art & science theme desperately,the older version CTS-V looked aesthetically sportier to me. That rear c pillar kink makes you think it's a hatch not a trunk. Performance is top notch though! Love the "Black Wing" nameplate sounds mean😖👍

    wonder if they offer this ct5-v blackwing in a commercial chassis so i can make it my next hearse

    the $6000 touring suspension pack on the seville sts was better value even adjusted for inflation

    • @jenseninterceptor1065
      @jenseninterceptor1065 2 года назад

      the seville sts also had a v8

    • @jenseninterceptor1065

      the seville sts also had standard automatic transmission it was waaay more luxurious

    • @johnls39
      @johnls39 2 года назад

      @@jenseninterceptor1065 This car also has an automatic as an option at a charge. Also, the STS had a four speed transmission which the four speed can't touch the 10 speed in sophistication. Also, the STS generations from 1988 thru 2014 never had a V version so you are comparing apples to oranges.

      @@johnls39 Respectfully, please note there was an STS-V available from the 2006-2009 model years which featured a supercharged 4.4 liter version of the Northstar V8. That model produced 469 horsepower. It is a relatively obscure Cadillac as only around 2500 or so were produced across the four model years before it was discontinued. Cheers.

    unlike the seville sts this has five seats... can we even take it seriously as a sports sedan with 5 seats

      Hugh? Last time I remember, the STS did had five seats.

      @johnls39 2 года назад

      @@jenseninterceptor1065 I'm not going back and forth with you on how many seats the car had. I remember the car back in the '90s and know how many people fitted back there. The STS/SLS was not a true 2+2 car with a rear seat console.

    this might be cool but cadillac never made a better bmw competitor than the seville sts

    • @johnls39
      @johnls39 2 года назад +1

      How so? The STS was FWD. Also, handling was capable but can't touch a candle to the CT5 Sport.

  • @Flamewake
    @Flamewake 2 года назад

    You mentioned the CT5-V competing with the bmw 3 series initially, and now competing more in the 5 series' size class, do you think that oems have started making cars to compete with the 2/4 series? or is that differentiation somewhat unnecessary

    • @MrSupersaiyangoku
      @MrSupersaiyangoku 2 года назад

      He was wrong that's why. This car aims squarely at the M5. Not the 3 series. The CT4 does that bout

    I love the car, I'm just sad the exterior doesn't match the interior in looks. nothing says performance about the outside.

    Probably best to just clip out the first 20 seconds or so of the video. You can do that without reuploading with youTube editor. It sounded like you started an intro from about 0:21 as well anyway
