Thanks for the comment Ricky, I appreciate your thoughts on the car. One thing I loved about ford Sierra, you could unclip the lens, remove and replace the reflectors, stone chips not a problem, just put a new lens on it, Ford used to do exchange radios, many years back, trade yours in when it quit working, a nice new/refurb unit, people called them Jelly moulds, I thought they were stylish and different, each to their own I guess.
Thanks for the comment. I totally agree about the headlights, it seems criminal these days that manufacturers produce 'sealed unit' lights that can only be replaced at crazy prices! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the positive feedback. 👍 Great to know people are enjoying following the restoration. Thanks for watching and hope to hear from you again on the next one... which is coming very soon.

Thanks for watching Joe, I appreciate the support. Good to know you think the progress with the Sierra is positive... it is a lot of logistics and work but I am enjoying it.
WoW!!! Great build, nice to see another one live to see another day. Might be an idea looking into a couple of cans of Bilt Hamber Dynax-UC to spray in those chassis rails, maybe even do the whole underside just to be safe.
Thanks for the comment and suggestion. I am restoring the Sierra to a point where I can drive and enjoy it, not taking the work so far that I am afraid to use it. As such, some protection would indeed be sensible. Thanks for watching.
To be fair the bit of rot she had on floors pretty good for old ford so even though was from Scotland seems it must have been dry stored and cared for can't fault mk body shops work looked brand new after sprayed nice seeing u not skimping on cost as will make decent car and be good for shows see u have a focus RS aswell lol nice to see rover getting about and used aswell can't wait to see finished job

Sierra looking great been well worth the wait hope your able to do a clip of the first engine start which would be amazing I remember my dad going to look at a silver J reg sierra cosworth back in 1997 I was only 5 but remember it well just Peering at it through the showroom glass but the insurance was disgusting and bought a MK1 Mondeo GLX instead
Thanks for the comment and do stay tuned as I'll get the engine update out as soon as I can. It was one of my favourite things as a child, going with my parents to the car show room to shop for a new car. The Mondeo GLX was an amazing car back in 1997, but as a kid I too would have begged my Dad to buy the Cosworth! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment and feedback on the Sierra. I promise to do a full cost breakdown once the car is back on the road so please do stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment Antony, I appreciate your thoughts on the Sierra. The wheels changed late in 1991 to the 'Shark Tooth' alloys, so early '91 4x4 Cosworths were fitted as standard with the Lattice wheels. If the Cosworth has the curved dash then it should have the newer wheels... mine has the square dash. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comment and information about where the Sierra may have been registered. I’ve not really looked into the history, but believe it was dry stored in Scotland for 12 or so years. Appreciate you watching and hope you stay tuned.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts on the car. I will let you know the total cost in the final video... it's a lot more than I originally planned to spend!

Thanks for the comment. I'd like to think it could be worth this sort of money one day, but I am not so sure it's £50K at the moment. Thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts on the Softline vs. Lattice alloy wheels. I promise to share the costs once the car is finished so please do stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
Car looks mint. A restoration cost breakdown video would be good,
Thanks for the comment and feedback on the Sierra. I promise to do a full cost breakdown once the car is back on the road so please do stay tuned. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful job mate but am pretty certain they are 2 wheel drive wheels the 4x4 wheels are different aren't they
Thanks for the comment Antony, I appreciate your thoughts on the Sierra. The wheels changed late in 1991 to the 'Shark Tooth' alloys, so early '91 4x4 Cosworths were fitted as standard with the Lattice wheels. If the Cosworth has the curved dash then it should have the newer wheels... mine has the square dash. Thanks for watching.
At was originally registered in Essex WC is one of many Essex issued plates for that area was it in Scotland for a long time ? Looking good 😉
Thanks for the comment and information about where the Sierra may have been registered. I’ve not really looked into the history, but believe it was dry stored in Scotland for 12 or so years.
Appreciate you watching and hope you stay tuned.
Fantastic restoration, can I ask purely as a matter of interest what the final cost was from start to finish?
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts on the car. I will let you know the total cost in the final video... it's a lot more than I originally planned to spend!
Should have got modern headlight internals fitted, (originality notwithstanding…for safety’s sake) as these are like candles.
The headlights are different on a Cossie mate. Look at the bracket where the grill attaches 👍🏼
Edit: you just spotted it 😂🙈
Cheers Adam... it was a bloody nuisance not spotting the difference until I had sorted the other headlight! Appreciate the heads up, albeit you are quite right I spotted it myself on this occasion certain there will be others. I am still following your Sapphire restoration and the YB you've just bought. Keep up the good work and thanks for following my series on the Cosworth, I appreciate the support. 👍
@@cornishcarcollectors 😊👍🏼
What is paint code
Thanks for the comment - the colour is Moondust Silver (I am sure Google will know the paint code). Thanks for watching.
Man that is an amazing before/after, Can't wait to see it finished!! Looking forward to seeing future plans too 😊
Thanks for the comment and for the feedback on the car, I really appreciate it. Thanks for watching and for staying tuned.
I beleave thats my mates he moved down that way from dartford
Thanks for the comment Lee. The Sierra came from Scotland - if you have not seen it then me collecting the car is featured in a previous video. If it is your mate's car then he will have sold it to someone in Scotland. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate the support.
@@cornishcarcollectors sorry ment micks one iv been watching the cossies progress watched last night and see my mates one being mentioned sorry for confustion
Brilliant @@leeluxford6039 - Mick has done a cracking job at sensitively restoring his (your mate's previous) Cosworth. Stay tuned as I will feature some images of the cars together later in the year.
Appreciate the support for the Channel and for following my Sierra restoration. 👍
That'll be a 50k car
Thanks for the comment. I'd like to think it could be worth this sort of money one day, but I am not so sure it's £50K at the moment. Who knows, I suppose it is worth as much as someone is willing to pay and there are crazy prizes being achieved. I intend to keep it though, so it does not really matter I suppose. Thanks for watching.
2 videos in 3 months is a waste of my time
2 in 3 just don’t cut the mustard
10mins cozzeh a week and 10 mins other stuff
2 vids a week min or it’s just half arsed but could be good
Don’t hate I’m just saying it as it is
Thanks for the comment and the feedback - I completely get it, the demand for content is high, but it also needs to be a good standard of content. I work fulltime, have a family and my cars, and now sharing my car antics on RUclips, is a hobby more so than a business. I'd love to do more and will work towards it... hope you stay tuned. 👍
So you're not doing any of the work
I would have parked up the refurb rims in the garage with no rubber on them and kept those 17s it came with they look much better in my opinion.
Thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts on the Softline vs. Lattice alloy wheels. As you say, the car looks fantastic on the 17" Softlines but I am chasing that original look so it has to be the Lattice for me... but I will certainly miss the look of the 17"s on the car. Thanks for watching - hope you stay tuned.
