Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the feedback on the Sierra. I hope you have had the chance to watch some of the other videos on my Sierra and I will put an update out very soon. Thank you for watching.
Hi Andy hope you are all keeping well! So pleased to hear the sierra has come home cannot believe it’s been nearly 12 months your collection video from Scotland seems like yesterday! It’s been fantastic coming along on the journey and seeing all of the very hard work which has been done it will look and drive like or even better than new! Well done on the headlining often a pig of a job and also the soldering of the new loom such a shame after everything for the loom to be damaged and the stereo is a great upgrade! Can’t wait to see the next instalment and your son has made a great choice! All the best to you all Daniel
Thanks for the comment Ian, it is great to know you enjoyed the video. Videos on this car will be more frequent now that it's home. Thanks for the support.
Thank you for the comment and kind feedback on the video, it's appreciated. Lots of late nights in the garage here to get it finished for his prom... I am confident we'll make it at the moment, but one or two setbacks and we've had it. Thanks for watching and for following the Sierra's restoration.
Good to speak with you too. 👍 Thanks for watching the video and for the positive thoughts on the Sierra... nearly there! My son really is busting to use it for his prom so it's late nights in the garage at this house.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, it was a little clippy loading the car as I did not have enough blocks of wood and the Sierra is low on the front… got it on okay though (looks worse in the video than it actually was) and, as you’ll have seen, I used more wood when at home. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you following the restoration and for the positive feedback on the video. Yeah, the 4x4 Cosworth came with the stereo and graphic equaliser or CD player (optional extra). Look forward to hearing from you on the next few videos as I put this back on the road... hopefully for prom!
The 2008 and optional cd player had fantastic sound.when my dad ordered his new granada scorpio saloon in 1990 he ordered leather upholstery and the cd player.the sound really did knock your socks off back then.the 1st time we had a cd player in a car.he then had cibie front spots fitted and the full rs body kit package fitted.what a awesome car that was.cosworth looks great, atleast you can solder,i cant lol 👍
Thanks for the comment and for sharing the story of your Dad’s Granada, which sounds a wonderful car. Nice memories. 👍 I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
Hello Andy Been so looking forward to anotner cossie update and thanks for postng mate 👍 The car is coming along nicely and who would of tbought its been now a year + since you went to Scotland and time sure goes quick. Unlike full restorations but ive always said this is the way to buy a cossie at entry level money and yes ok your gonna have to spend £20K + on resto work but its the way to go as ive seen £30K saffs needing work and money spent whereas the entry to restoration way you are gonna end up with a rock solid shell with everything else all new restored and rebuilt (in other words a mint rot free and mechanical perfect car) The light is at the end of the tunnel now mate and the prom drive sure is gonna be special Easy a £40K car when done and an investment for the future 👍 All the best mate for the next update CheeRS Nigel 🍺
Thanks for the comment Nigel, I appreciate it and you sharing your thoughts on value. I've enjoyed building the car as I want it and, as you say, to know that the car is solid both structurally and mechanically. Thanks for continuing to watching - almost there now!
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the support. 👍 Great to know you think the Sierra is coming along well. Progress should be a bit quicker now and I looking forward to sharing the updates. Thanks for watching.
While I enjoy watching your videos of your old fast Ford’s. I feel the teaser style string along dialogue not unlike a newscast or advert with a “just wait” script detracts from your videos. More brevity would make a good video even more entertaining to watch.
Thanks for the comment and feedback, I appreciate it. Good to know you are enjoying the videos and I will work on the feedback. Thanks for staying tuned and following the restoration of my car.
Hi Andy, I’m in the process of a full restoration on my 4x4 staff Cosworth, your videos are really helpful and informative. Can you help me with what and where you purchased the 6mm bulkhead insulation from as I need the same before I have my engine put back in. Cheers.
Thanks for the comment Ian; it is really great to know my videos are helping and good luck with your car. I spoke with Steve at Sierras R Us who recommended rubberco.co.uk as a supplier for the bulkhead insulation. I think it is called Silent Coat Isolator 6 (large sheet). Worked well. Thanks for watching and hope to hear from you again.
Thanks for the comment and for your patience. Should get the features on this car out a little more frequently now that it’s home. I hope you enjoyed the video. 👍
Thanks for the comment. The pre-facelift J-reg Sierra Cosworth 4x4s had the 'lattice' wheels, with the later cars being fitted with the 'snowflake' wheels. The Lattice wheels are correct for my car. Thanks for watching the video, please stay tuned as another video is coming soon.
Good effort on the soldering. One of your neighbours has recently retired from work, he was an electrical fitter in the yard. He has loads of spare time. He may be able to improve the soldering job if you give Mike B a shout
Thanks for the comment and feedback on my solder! Insulation take is a bit old fashioned, but it's doing the job. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it.
Thanks for the comment and recommendation - I had the tape handy, but arguably there are better ways to have joined the wires. Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Great work

I thought a j reg Cossie 4x4 would come with the later wire spoke style wheels?
Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment Mark, I may very well do that. 👍
Thanks for watching and following the Sierra.
Soldering looked fine... Couple of quids worth of heat shrink would've made the loom look as good as the rest of the car though...
Thanks for the comment and feedback on my solder!
Insulation take is a bit old fashioned, but it's doing the job.
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it.
Before fitting the dash bottom the sound proofing, carpet needs to go in and the centre console loosely or you'll not get in back over the handbrake.
Thank you for the comment and for the advice.
Please do stay tuned as I have another video coming very soon. 👍
What’s that cool looking yellow car at the garage?? Never seen one of them before looks rare

you should have used shrink tube
Thanks for the comment and advice; I appreciate insulation tape is a bit 'old skool'.
Thanks for watching.
Oh dear Electricians tape i would of slid some shrink tubing over the wires but if it works
