Frankie Sullivan has a weird way of being friendly. Dave is always sweet and considerate to his fans though. Charming man and a real gentleman.
I love Frankie ❤️😍 Great guitarist and beautiful boy.
@@leyla.007 You are correct, ma'am! Chicago should be more proud of him!
Dave's singing voice in the 1990's was still so powerful and melodic despite having an operation to have his polyps removed. Wish I saw him perform back then. I'm so jealous of the people who had that golden chance to see them perform live. Lucky people and fans!
I agree. Sadly they didn't play in the UK at that time otherwise I would have gone and seen them. Bickler did a few dates in the UK in 2019 though. 👍
Saw them at my high school in Chicago in 1981.
Oh God, that guitar player has a serious attitude problem 🙄 What a great song! 🎵 Dave Bickler is sensational once again. Btw, his vocals are ear candy for me too but at the same time, so is the man himself! 😍🥰❤
what did he say? I couldn't understand it right
@@urickperez643 Sullivan said "turn that sh*t up. Turn it on. Turn that thing on." Something like that but his tone is quite aggressive and come across rude and brash. He comes across very egotistical, like the others here have commented. Unlike Bickler and Peterik who were super friendly and warm toward the audience.
@@jakeywilliams Wow, I've always been a big fan of sullivan
@@urickperez643 he's a brilliant but underrated guitar player nevertheless. 😊 Frankie as a person? Well, I'm not hearing good things about him and his treatment towards Bickler had been awful, though Bickler keeps forgiving him.
@@jakeywilliams Thank you for telling me these things
This is truly a Dave song
As close as we'll get to seeing a caught in the game tour performance with Dave! This is pretty good
Anyone noticed a man with a handheld video camera recording the band on stage?
E incrível como Jimi e Dave tem uma semelhança tanto nos vocais como em aparência física
If the Mafia was their manager, none of these grievances would ever have played out. Shut up and play!!!😊
Why did Survivor fire Dave?
Are you asking about '99 when Dave got fired by Sullivan? (Peterik quit the band in '96). Ironically Dave was in the band hours before Peterik asked Sullivan back in late '77. 😀 I don't know why Sullivan fired Dave back then. Perhaps someone here may know. I heard a few vague reasons but not verified. 🤔
@@WildIronLizzy most likely due to musical differences and Frankie's ego. Frankie is known for his ego and wanting to control everything. Maybe Dave said something Frankie didn't want to hear (like the truth), and he fired him because of that. 🤔 He was the reason why Peterik finally turn his back on Survivor by not getting on that plane to their next gig in 1996. Sullivan's bullying, patronising and wanting control of things were too much for Peterik. Having said that, Bickler, in his latest Greek interview, said he couldn't work with Peterik again because they would disagree on the musical direction just like his time in Survivor, so Dave prefers to make his own music. He still amicable with Peterik.
Yes, you're right, Peterik asked Dave first which Dave agreed, to join his new band hours before he met Frankie at his apartment later that night. Dave also met Frankie that night. There is quite a bit of misinformation about this where it had been said Peterik and Sullivan formed Survivor then subsequently bringing in Dave. That is untrue according to Peterik book and his recent interview here on RUclips. I only just watched it last week. 😊
@@jakeywilliams That's true. Jim Peterik knew dave before he even met Frankie. They knew each other from doing the commercial jingles together. When Jim decided to form Survivor and was thinking of who would be a good fit for the lead vocalist in his band, he immediately thought of Dave. I think Jim asked Dave if he wanted to be in his band before Frankie Sullivan ever was ever involved in the band.
@@jakeywilliams I have heard by many people that Sullivan is a major deuche
Its sad he turned to booze when his voice was so much better than the vocalist that they took in after him.
