- Join us on this adventure on a 140 mile trip as we float the Fortymile River from Alaska to Canada and continue down the Yukon River all the way back to Eagle, Alaska! We have the best time fishing, hitting the rapids, paddling, and just goofing off. This will be a trip to remember and we'd love for everyone to share in our fun!

But it was beautiful we’re too old to do anything like that but happy to see it thru you folks.🤗
Because we were 100 percent away from civilization we spent time thinking about what we would need out there and what we could carry. We also brought our inreach that we could use to send an emergency SOS that would send our GPS location if we had an accident. It was a strange feeling being so self reliant, but also very freeing ❤️

I imagined more mosquitos than you seemed to have.
We were pleasantly surprised that there were almost zero mosquitoes. There were a few pesky black flies, but minimal. It was perfect!

My husband and I just got back from an Alaskan cruise and as beautiful as the scenery is in videos and photos seeing it live is an entire different ballgame. I could not believe how stunning it was. Dawes Glacier and that water color was effin epic!!!!

No problem! We’ve been planning this for a while and thought it would be cool to share in our fun adventures. Ryan and our son in law went on a different float trip a few weeks before and they were charged by a moose 🫎 😳

Glad you liked it! We only ran in to two people on the river and both were miners, but funny enough on the first day we were stopped on the road driving to Eagle to drop off our trailer by a cast member from Life Below Zero to ask us for some help with their trailer. Such a big, small world here in Alaska 😂
In the early 1980’s we had our gold mining camp set up just downriver from the South Fork Bridge where you put in. We mined about 2 miles down river from there on the South Fork of the Fortymile River. Brings back some memories. Thanks.
