I'm 50, I've never heard of him. I wish I had. I loved those 70s. Blaxpoitation movies we would watch at the Drive Ins. Good ol days.
I used to sneak in the basement to listen to Rudy Ray Moore on 8 Track when I was a kid.
I didn't know Rudy was Snoop's uncle, wow
Great movie on Netflix, just finished it. Very well done!!
I don't think he's really his uncle.
Same. Surprised me too
It’s a shame it took Eddie Murphy to make this guy known but he was a legend..I think most people in the culture already knew how important he was
You got see him in a cameo role as Dolomite, in 1990s mocu-mentary Jackie's Back. Although only one screen about 3 minutes, He was hilarious.
Only Eddie Murphy could pull someone from the under-ground above-ground and introduce them to the WORLD !!!
@Kendel Mourniny Eddie knew him better

Rudy Ray Moore was already known
@Kendel Mourniny Nope, not to me - Eddie is a genius!
If you think Rudy Ray Moore was a nobody until Eddie did this Homage film 🧐 shame on you
maybe they are just young. ive been hip from the 60s, met him and other legends, nice guy.
Sorry... I was never interested in Dolomite, it was too much for me. But yes - I only watched it because I like Eddie Murphy acting skills but I ended up liking Rudy Ray Moore's come-up story.
Don't try to re-write history, fool. RR was relatively small then in terms came across of the whole country and even smaller as time went on because he was a caricature that only appealed to certain black people and certain whites who found blackspoitation stuff amusing. People like Pryor, Murphy, etc, brought something that the ENTIRE country could enjoy.
