I can't express how much I love that you guys are like a 2-man, Phil Collins PR team, introducing him to a new generation. LOVE :)
Yes, he should send them a shout out. I think they are helping to make him bank
Amen to that sister 🙏❤️
If they like Phil Collins, they ought to check out his son, Nick Collins. He's playing with Phil's band now while Phil sings on stage. Check it out!!!
Phil is singing this to his "scary" ex wife even if he didnt know it at the time of the recording 🤣
@@marianna0056 edit: (@ marianna 0056): I NEED to check that out, thanks!! 💜
Hello boys! Greatest breakup song ever! As per usual, y'all are out here killin it! I'm a mental health therapist, and I have my clients listen to you for some joy!!! Keep it up! We love you, Tim and Fred!
I am going through depression and heartbreak and I just found these two angels they really have helped me especially because I love alll music just like them so it’s cool to vibe with people on the same wavelength! Bless your heart for recommending your clients to this channel :D
They are a breath of fresh air to watch. Wish more therapists thought outside the box like you do!! A lot of them don't realize music says more than talking ever will...
I'm a psychologist and have recommended the guys to some clients as well because they bring such joy.
Awesome therapy!!
@@pivery9321 you should learn them not to depend on others for happiness
Also Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes."
Yes please!!
Absolutely!
Yes!
Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush "Don't Give Up" is great too. Ya'll could pick up the UK audience with anything by Kate Bush, she is a legend!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hes yelling in lowercase 😂
I am a sista that grew up in Indiana in the 80’s and Genesis and Phil Collins got much play in my house. I remember getting ready for school watching MTV and Phil would have the whole house grooving! Now you have to listen to “That’s All,” Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, Throwing It All Away, and “In Too Deep” to name a few. Then you’ll be ready to move into Peter Gabriel and “Sledgehammer” and “Shock The Monkey.”
Facts!!!!
YES Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins were together before they broke up ... definitely Slegehammer and Shock the Monkey !
Bringing back some memories
Also, Land of Confusion and Mama when he was with Genesis, excellent songs, and I'd love to hear their reactions when he does the "ha, ha, ha" part! And as for Peter, oh so many great songs, my favorite is Biko, though, I just love it.
YES!!!!!
Phil's divorce let to some seriously dope songs. He doesn't leave anyone guessing exactly how he felt about her.🔥👊
You nailed it on that! Some of the best songs came about from emotions running high. The Rumors album from Fleetwood Mac is a perfect example of that 🎯
helped me through my divorce :-)
👊
@@monikabeki6838 same!!
@@stefaniebrauer128 we made it to a new, happy life :-)
As a 80’s kid when I was mad at my parents I would play this song as loud as I could in my room. Ha ha
You the real MVP 👏🤣
Same.
I was born in 1955. I'd play Jimi Hindrex to piss my parents off.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Married 31 years, so of course at times I play it because of my husband. When we fight, we fight hard, but aren’t going anywhere 😂
TERRANCE TRENT DARBY "WISHING WELL"!
Great song and video.
If you let me stay and who's loving you are better
Wishing Well. Love the song🇨🇦❤️
SIGN YOUR NAME!! CMON NOW!
The whole TTD catalog is worthy. But I would say Wishing Well is the one to start with
This is a great Phil Collins song but I have to tell you guys AirPods do NOT do it justice. You really need to hear it on full size speakers or full size headphones. That’s where you will get the full experience and realize just how good it really is.
Full size headphones would be better for hearing health. Air Pods leak sound, therefore you need to turn the volume up, which could lead to hearing damage\loss.
Yes! Speakers, that shake and throb and make you want to just feel this beat while letting the words shred the crap of the day from your body.
Oh man, I think about my old Panasonic stereo system all the time, with all the components and wires and the huge speakers. This song definitely blasted through those speakers at top volume while working through a breakup or three. Edit: It was actually a Pioneer, I just now remembered. Oldness 🤷
@@gogosylvia293 or my Sanyo!
@@gogosylvia293 my bro had a Pioneer system. He saved all his $s from his job.
Those were some awesome days!! 😎
"Speaking loud, but not loud." Brilliant.
It’s so true! I never thought of it that way until now!🤩
Agreed
That struck me too!
Yes, profound reaction.
Facts!
Nice to see the young generation loves Phil Collins too!! He's exceptional!
Who had this on full blast, singing your guts out, while driving??? 🙋🏻♀️
I get the feeling he doesn't care anymore.
😂😂😂
He should care about the twins because they increased his music sales, Kathy. 😎👍😉
😂🤣😂🤣
We all remember when this song was new. It was awesome then, and still is now
BET! And rightfully so!
Phil Collins is my favorite!
That's funny he sang this because Phil Collins is a very caring man. He gave a lot to the homeless, and he lived through a lot and can relate to people .
More personal when it's close family or a spouse.
as a big fan of Phil Collins it was great to see the reaction of these young men and their take on this song was on point
❤️
How about Phil's old band mate Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer?
THIS ONE RIGHT HERE! That would be the move! That video was amazing as well
Highly agree!
Oh hell yes!!
Peter Gabriel’s “Digging in the Dirt” is incredible
OMG!!! I LOVE that song!!!!
This is a follow-up to In the Air Tonight. His breakup with his wife was tough for him. Great song.
Phil Collins personifies the 80's. His talent is undeniable. The man knows how to bang a drum!
Phil Collins is an elite rockstar as you guys mentioned... he is one of 3 artists of all time to have sold more than 100 million albums both as a solo artist and also more than 100 million albums as a member of a band (Genesis). The other two are Paul McCartney ( The Beatles) and Michael Jackson ( Jackson Five). An elite list without a doubt. He is a superstar and I enjoy how much both of you admire his talent.
Don’t worry guys, lightening WILL strike twice. You can’t go wrong with Phil Collins!
Great analogy regarding the drums! It’s tribal or like going into battle! Never thought of that but it’s so true! Such a powerful song!
The calvary
Do against all odds/take a look at me now by Phil Collins
These 2 tho!! - KC and the Sunshine Band- Please Dont Go and Phil Collins- Against All Odds-both are beautiful love songs! I hope yall yry those two soon! ❤️♥️❤️♥️
Still pissy that song didn't win against Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You" for Oscar Original Song of the Year 1984. "Against All Odds" is a WAY better song AND it goes with the movie.
This is one of the best “F-U” songs in rock history. There’s also an excellent live version of it here: m.ruclips.net/video/zZ3GA6dazTA/видео.html. (A lot of Phil Collins and Genesis songs are better live than their studio versions.)
One of the things about Phil Collins is how versatile he was. In the Air Tonight, Easy Lover, and I Don’t Care Anymore are so completely different, but he had some of his biggest successes with power ballads and love songs - Against All Odds (probably his most famous song after In the Air Tonight), One More Night, You’ll Be in My Heart (from the Tarzan soundtrack), I Wish It Would Rain Down - and the anti-homelessness song Another Day in Paradise.
Then there is his stuff with the band Genesis that have totally different sounds. There are so many songs there - Mama (check out this live version from 1987 m.ruclips.net/video/WcfuvgQJ1pY/видео.html), That’s All, Tonight Tonight Tonight, Land of Confusion, In Too Deep, Home By the Sea/Second Home By the Sea (two tracks on the album, but meant to be listened to as a song song - here’s a great live version ruclips.net/video/P7Ko79vytWA/видео.html), Dance on Volcano, and Ripples - just for starters.
Love this song!! Great drums too!
“Dance on a Volcano” is stupidly good, not to mention all the time signature shifts in the intro... ❤️❤️❤️
Would love to see you react to Land of Confusion!!!
I wish y’all could meet him. That would be epic 🥁 💙💙
Great idea! Time to reach out Tim, Fred or Phil!
I hope it happens and I hope they video it!
Oh Phil Collins has got a real good song called "Don't Lose My Number" that's awesome
Excellent Choice
Too 'pop-ish". Phil had better rock-edged songs than that one.
I just had to play that to remind myself. Yes it was very "pop-ish" as someone said. But then if it weren't for his "Pop-ish" tunes I might not know who he is. :)
@@ardelld1 Well, "In The Air" was a pop hit, but it had a hard rock sound to it. "Don't Lose My Number" is so soft. You can't rock out to it. Haha!
@@jog8483 I don't "rock out" but I do dance, and the smoother beat of "Don't Lose My Number" was easier to dance to. :) I never liked dance songs that had breaks and big changes in the beat. We got a little lost on the dance floor. :)
I Wish It Would Rain Down On Me by Phil Collins. One if not my favorite song besides this one
My favorite
Lmaooo “drag my name all over the place guess what?! Don’t care anymooore” YOURE TOO FUNNY 💚😂
Land of confusion is also a good one.
😝 I would love to see them react to the MTV music video. 😱 I’m feeling old now. You know they don’t know who Ronald Reagan is.
Ikr!! Lol I remember Richard Nixon. So yeah pretty much feeling the oldness creeping on up on me.
Oh love that song too!!! 💜💜💜💜
I 2nd that! Great video
Suggestion for you guys - the song, 'Biko', by Peter Gabriel. It's all about South African political activist Steve Biko. Phil Collins plays drums on it. Very powerful.
One of the greatest songs ever !
Also , intruder is a great song he drums on for Peter
They were both in Genesis, one of the best prog/art rock bands ever.
@@abenware08 I didn't know he played on Intruder - it's a great song.
YES!!!!! It is where phil 1st recorded his famous 80s drum sound
Phil Collins, Against All Odds for that movie soundtrack. Great heart wrenching love song of loss!
This song will echo in your ears at the end to any future bad relationships.
This is a great "angry" song!!
I forgot how much I loved this song, he’s had SUCH a great career and put out the BEST music! It was cool to see how much y’all liked it too🥁 💙💙
Phil Collins is an excellent drummer 👏 He is the Man the pride of the British ppl and Keith 's ancestry. Thanks Tim and Fred. I don't care anymore, Out! Joan and Keith Bates
So much respect for you two young men . Seriously you represent all generations and the respect you give to all genres.. You two make me so proud . Smiles MSH
When I hear Phil Collins I think of you guys and that’s a good thing
Phil Collins cover of You Can't Hurry Love. Believe me, its a banger 💖
“Epic” by Faith No More is a must 🙏
Anyone who wants to understand why so many people love TwinsTheNewTrend only need to watch this reaction. And if there are still those out there who don't get it and aren't with the program.
"We" don't care anymore :-)
Twins check out Phil Collins singing Take Me home if you want more or his drum mastery
Also the song Something About You by Level 42.
Have a great weekend!
Hey, Tim and Fred! I would so looooove to see you guys react to "Sussudio" by Phil Collins. It is a bangin' banger! I promise you won't be able to sit still while listening to it.
Also, you should really check out Peter Gabriel, who was a former bandmate of Phil's when they were part of the group Genesis. Listen to Peter's hit "Sledgehammer." Please, please, please check it out! You won't be disappointed.
You are so right. Don't forget Geniuses I can't dance.
No it isn’t very overrated song
Sussudio, yes!
Yes please! They haven't heard that side of Phil yet!! Can't wait!!
Please do Sussudio!!!!!
Oh I'm soooo happy you did this one. Phil's catastrophic love life gave rise to many great songs.
I love this song and the twins reaction. They remind me so much of my twin nephews ,Andrew and Isaac
Daft Punk has just retired their 28 year career of the best dance music ever. Would be so awesome to see you experience this legendary duo.
Around the world❤
"Phil goin crazy on this track" LOL
You brought new life into this song for me. I was taking it for granted, but no more, no more ✌
🤣
Please react to Billy Idol "Rebel Yell" and/or Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus" please!
And then Johnny Cash's cover of Personal Jesus. And then his cover of Mercy Seat..which as a Bad Seeds fan...I think the cover is better.
My favorite Billy Idol song is "Eyes Without a Face".
If we are going Billy Idol, then Dancing With My Self is a great one.
Reach out and touch faith....
Billy Idol Cradle Of Love
Being an old school fool like I am I love seeing the younger talent giving props where they are due to some of the older talents who helped pave the way. Keep up the good work guys. I enjoy your videos.
Phil Collins tells it like it is!
He gives you all the feels when he sings! He's a very emotional singer! While he beats the hell out of those drums! 😂
He's definitely a G.O.A.T.!
❤️
The way you young Kings break down unheard music is HIlarious 😅 But this song by Phil seriously slaps!!!
Seriously intense Phil Collins song.
Y’all need to hear his other band that he had a bunch of hits with called “Genesis.” You should listen to “Invisible Touch” or “Land of Confusion” from them. You’ll hear another side of Phil.
Phil Collins' signature drum sound is because he is one of the rare lead singers who is a drummer, not a guitarist.
Phil Collins music still holds up today
Facts! I think that about this song even though I always thought it was a 90s song (which is when I learned about it). I just found out the year it really came out and 🤯
Best breakup song EVER! Loved it guys!
In this moment intervie
Speak softly and carry a big stick. That’s Phil
Break up, get fired, anytime you’re having a bad day song.
You both had me laughing on this one! 😄💕💕
Less than 10 minutes after posting this "reaction" and you guys have almost 900 views. I love you both. Keep doing your THANG.!!! Love it.
One thing I learned from this song is if you try your hardest and she still doesn't acknowledge it, then she is not the one for you
❤️
You guys are correct, even though he always has a straight face in photos - he is actually a very funny guy in person! 😀
Great reaction, as always. 👏👏👏
I had this great album on cassette on the 80s. Hadn't heard this song in ages. You should listen to Phil Collins with Genesis - lots of great songs there too: Turn It On Again, Follow You Follow Me, Mama, Land Of Confusion, Jesus He Knows Me, No Reply At All, Illegal Alien, etc
Need to watch the video for land of confusion
Mama! Yes!! They would go nuts with that one...
Superb music.
Mama is an excellent choice. Raw and gritty!
Oh, yeah, I have been wishing for them to do “No Reply at All” and “Turn It on Again.” Excellent choices!
Phil is LEGENDARY!!!
I can't count the number of times I have blasted this song in my headphones.
Yeah me too
Turn it up
Some more great Phil songs: I Missed Again, Misunderstanding, Inside Out.
Your reaction to Phil’s videos are the absolute best! You guys really dig him. More Phil please! 🙂
Try “Lightning Crashes” by Live and see if you don’t cry!
Yes!
It’s about life and death. Truly moving. ❤️
Beautiful and sad.
Anything from Live on Mental Jewelry and Throwing Copper.
Definitely do Lightning Crashes. Live is an amazing group.
Saw phill collins perform this in 1990 at the forum. Seeing this live in concert is something I will never forget as long as I am alive. Dosent get any better than this.
This song is a perfect package of an F.U. This song got me through a whole year of my life.
Back to Phil Collins! Yessss
Ooh forgot about this. Genesis vibes from before going solo. Genesis is a little treasure trove of Bangers. ❣️✌️
What a legend !!!!
The live version of this song is just brilliant. You can really see and feel his anger towards the end. One of my favorites 🤩
This has been my theme song in the last couple of years! Love love Phil Collins!
Check out "Mama" by Genesis
Oh hell yeah!
Another great song!!
Yeeeesss!! Such an awesome track.
I listened to this song a lot when I was going through a divorce... I felt about as angry as he did too! 😂 love me some Phil Collins! Keep up these great videos guys!
Highly recommend “Mama” by Genesis as well. Same drum heavy angry Phil.
Blondie - Rapture
Nazareth - Hair of the Dog
Devo - Whip It
Heatwave - Always and Forever
Brothers Johnson - Strawberry Letter 23
SOS Band - Just Be Good to Me
Love Phil Collins....👍😊👏
Phil says it perfectly! That’s what a great artist does! He’s the real deal and has been for decades. So glad you guys discovered him. Pass him along to others!
If you want to see Phil Collins at his silliest, check out Genesis "I Can't Dance" - Great song, and really fun 😊
Pretty please react to the actual mtv video of this one!!!
Phil is awesome. If you want some other greatness from that time, check out Paul Simon - Call Me Al, or Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard. Also going to keep asking until its on here - Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode!
Love watching you guys react to the music I grew up with and loved! Phil Collins Rocks!!!
The montage scenes featuring his music from Miami Vice were awesome.
The not-so-serious "Fun Phil" can be seen in his video with Phillip Bailey doing "Easy Lover"
They have done that one.
You guys are so adorable 💕💕
I have downloaded so many old songs since I started watching y’all. Thanks for reminding me of all the amazing music in the world. 🤩😎
So agree 💕
Me too
I LOVE how much yall love Phil Collins ❤ 😂
You guys make me smile! I’m older and grew up on this music. To watch the expressions on your faces as you discover music I grew up with and seeing your reactions brings about memories of how “we” all felt as we discovered same. Keep sharing good vibes.
Great tune! Another fine Phil Collins song in a similar style is "Mama," which he performs with Genesis. Check it out!
Time for some Eagles - Hotel California would be great!
Would be nice but the Eagles won't allow their songs on youtube. 😔
Agree 💯
You boys made my night. I still feel that way every time I hear "The Phil". Love you for investing in so many different genres. Excellent choice.
Genesis: ABACAB!!!!! Play at full volume on speakers and shake all the glassware in the house. I played it the other day and my teenagers ran into the room asking "what is this I love it!!!" Epic jam.
One of my favorite songs.. nice!
I just subscribed yesterday and binged your videos. Love your enthusiasm and open mindedness! I'd really love to see you guys react to some Tom Petty or Traveling Wilburys. For Petty, I think Refugee, Don't Come Around Here No More, or Mary Jane's Last Dance would be great starting points. For the Wilburys, either End of the Line or Handle With Care.
This is the quintessential catharsis song that explodes at the end with Phil Collins singing with all his might from his soul. The way he sings at the end...the way he sings "I don't care what you say, I never did believe you much anyway. Get out of my way, let me by, I got better things to do with my time"....you can't say those words better than that. This song fits perfectly alright into any shitty situation in our lives.
This song is a complete vibe.
Twins a classic and appropriate in every decade I have live through
HAROLD MELVIN AND THE BLUENOTES FEATURING TEDDY PENDERGRASS “WAKE UP EVERYBODY” it is G.O.A.T. Vibe 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Phil Collins 👊💥🔥👍 Great song!
Phil Collins did his own drums in this and Genesis and other solo songs.
I’ve been waiting for this one. My favorite Phil Collins song. I listen to this on repeat at full volume when I’m done with people’s shit. 😎
