Thanks for the content. I agree with your take on what happened to Every. It would be cool to find out more but it's not likely. As with most pirates if it's not documented by reliable period sources you can't really know.
Edit- Apparently the link isn't working so I made a post of the sheet music itself. Found the sheet music!!!! And it seems ballads loved this song. omeka.cloud.unimelb.edu.au/execution-ballads/items/show/1170
As much as I respect Henry Every as a successful pirate unlike other people who say that he was the king of all pirate's i wouldn't call him the king of Pirate's.
@@thecreweofthefancy it's a bit like when Ruari the Turbulent when he was finally captured and brought towards King James the 6th of Scotland and explained to the King about why he committed piracy imperticula the English ship's which he told the King he only attacked the ship's of Queen Elizabeth the 1st in revenge for killing of King James mother Queen Mary queen of the Scots which the King pardoned the pirate Laird which his lands were forfeited. There some sources say that Ruari the Turbulent lied to King James about why he attacked the English ship's to save his own neck from the gallows but other sources say that Ruari the Turbulent was telling the truth about it. How would one tell from the truth or a lie and myth from sources.
@@thecreweofthefancy also I think some of the treasure that Henry Every stoled like the gold coins the Scottish clans who fought for the Jacobite cause could have melted them down to use for the Jacobite cause for weapons and other things that they needed which would have helped Henry Every in hiding from the law without a trace.
@@KingEdwardtheTurbulentNeill26 he could have been on other side too, which would have avoided potential investigation and arrest. Going to Scotland to hide though makes a lot of sense.
Don't apologize. Important life stuff supercedes all else
I still feel bad, I try to get out at least one video per week.
Welcome back good sir! 🏴☠️💪
Great content as always!

And then one day we find a skeleton in a random place surrounded by Mughal coins with dental analysis showing he was born in Devon. Haha.

I agree. A lot of that myth comes from the whole idea that he ran off and set up a Kingdom in Madagascar.
