Hello I am so sorry if this sounds weirds but you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. If it's okay with you I'd love to be friends.
Coming from Scotland, born in '95. As a kid, our headteacher, a long haired, beared, hippy man, would occasionally take us all out of class to the music room. He'd play his guitar and we'd all sing songs like this and Let it Be and others. By far, this was the song that got the most energy out of us, it really got us going ☺️
You must’ve forgot at the time citizens were being randomly drafted into a brutal, pointless war they were fully against fighting, and it was criminal to evade.
I thank my mother for her vinyl collection, this woman did not speak a lick of english when she came to this country but she learned listening to great music when she played it loud in the house. CCR is one of my all time favorite bands growing up and now Im passing on their music to my 12yr old son...
This song brings me memories of driving to “secret spots” with my mom, dog and step father to go camping. He suffered terribly with alcoholism and eventually it took his life but there were times when everything felt good and you could tell he felt free. We’d listen to CCR and Johnny Cash the whole way with the windows down.
My dad suffered from alcoholism too but he was a good guy. Just a coping mechanism for a lot of the bullshit he had to go through in life. This song brings to mind the days when my father and I would drive to our family's ranch out in the country on the weekends. He'd blast CCR, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and other bands from his time along the way and I savored the time together. I left home a few years back and haven't remained in contact with him. I decided to stop by for Christmas and gifted him an expensive bottle of brandy and we talked about those trips to the ranch jamming out to his favorite songs.
This song came out in 1969 and the lyrics still sound relevant today and current situations. It's the same shit just a different decade. We'll get through this, we always have. Stay strong and united friends!

heard this on the Whitetail radio while driving around in FarCry5 and it made me realize how resiliant society is. we survive through wars, famines, weather, pandemics, and the clash of political parties, along with much more. in the end we still pick each other up and keep fighting for our freedom and well-being. there may be a bad moon on the rise but that will not stop us from surviving.
The lyrics man...I listened this masterpiece 100 times in a row. I don't know exectly that it's a sad song or a happy song, but I know there are tears in my eyes. 😪

Even though I was born way after this generation of music I find it to be the best, even better then new music as it doesn't really have the story telling like these.
If you want lyrical storytelling in newer music, listen to something like Sabaton, Twilight Force or Blind Guardian. Instrumentals will sound like noise until you get used to it, but they definitely got the storytelling down.
I dont know how its called, but its the thing that you can process bad emotions (lyrics) in a better way if the instrumental feel lighthearted or cheerful... there‘s a word for this, but I cant remember it
When I hear this song, it makes me think of hanging at the bar with my bros, just enjoying an ice cold beer, shooting pool, and not having a care in the world, even if just for a few hours. Man I miss the times when life was simpler.
Weird isn't it, just wanting to listen to good music. I'm the same. This is just a great song with nothing to do with any pandemics, politics, conspiracy theories. Maybe a little too much blow though.
Love this band, my dad loved them and always played their songs. My dad died a few years ago, and I often play their songs, thinking of these happy times together Greetings from the Netherlands

Even though I was born way after this generation of music I find it to be the best, even better then new music as it doesn't really have the story telling like these.
Couldn't agree more. Spot on.
I'm younger - this was my great granpa's fav. Was born way after.
@@3847CAKDo you mean that you like listening to this eras music?
If you want lyrical storytelling in newer music, listen to something like Sabaton, Twilight Force or Blind Guardian. Instrumentals will sound like noise until you get used to it, but they definitely got the storytelling down.
Why is it so cheerful?!?!
yet the lyrics are so dark
there is a darker version

^ better darker version in my opinion 💕
Both of those ^ covers suck. (In my opinion)
Vamptay H how can you say the darker version is better ?? Wtf you must have a bad music taste
I dont know how its called, but its the thing that you can process bad emotions (lyrics) in a better way if the instrumental feel lighthearted or cheerful... there‘s a word for this, but I cant remember it
In my opinion, sitting down and searching yourself for answers is key to relieving personal pain. These guys are the best.
Love this song! I was so happy when I heard it on Supernatural, it made me return here😍

What a lovely song about death and the impending apocalypse.
Really, just next to the more famousand recent one, Pumped Up Kicks
When I hear this song, it makes me think of hanging at the bar with my bros, just enjoying an ice cold beer, shooting pool, and not having a care in the world, even if just for a few hours. Man I miss the times when life was simpler.
Yeah u are right. I listen to this Song when I drive home from work
An all time classic!
Meus pais ouviam na vitrola, época eu criança, agora com 54 ainda curto essa banda, é fenomenal
My mother liked them. She died 3 weeks ago. Now all I can think of is her when I hear this song.
🙏🏽
Death is a natural part of life. She would want you to keep on keepn on, and find joy. Hang in there. My condolences.
So sad 🙏🙏🙏
She didnt speak English but she enjoyed the music
wsh you the best, God with you
I’m here because I just like to listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival
And why not ,there's a lot of other things you could do, but not as good as this
I loved their music when I was 18. Still do and I'll be 65 this year.
Weird isn't it, just wanting to listen to good music. I'm the same. This is just a great song with nothing to do with any pandemics, politics, conspiracy theories. Maybe a little too much blow though.
same
It is an energetic song but it is also most certainly about the political crises that were smoldering back in the 60s.
Love these great ( real ) songs - july 17 2019 still playing and listening to CCR
Love this band, my dad loved them and always played their songs. My dad died a few years ago, and I often play their songs, thinking of these happy times together

Just over 2 minutes of joy. I love this song!
Pop songs of the 60s were told to be around 2 mins - designed for AM radio.
Great song 😃 Supernatural brought me here.
This makes me think of my father, who loved this song.
"The Lords Work Must Be Done, The Time For Talk Has Passed" - Joshua Graham, Fallout New Vegas
The next Fallout should take place in New Orleans and the radio station should play a ton of Creedance.
@@thekeyandthegate4093 the cutoff was like 65-ish for FNV idk... will they break the music cut off.
@@CreativeUsernameHere-r1k I mean i'd arguably say Vietnam is also engrained in the Fallout culture through that light hippie movement you can see rising during WWIII so, they could probably get away with it.

This was the song I remember my daddie dancing and snapping his fingers in the kitchen. 12 years without you daddie but songs like this bring back such lovely memories of you x.
This song is definitely about the times we are currently living in.

People are so distracted with COVID and U.S. politics that they don't even notice the crap China is doing, especially on the border with India. That stuff is more likely to lead to nuclear war and global collapse than anything going on in the west right now.
