    new to trim adjusting. y are we setting bottom out to center guage? wouldn't bottom out be all the way left and all the way right(In red trim area) be trailer mode?

      Yeah same here. I’d think bottom out would be to the lowest point of trim gauge not middle? But he had it maxed out on how far he could rotate it and it was dead center so I’m not sure.

    Your alpha drive videos are the best that I have found. So much information. You made it so easy to rebuild everything.
    Question. Sometimes the trim does not work until i tilt it 1st. Do you know why?

      Thank you, we are very happy to hear. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
      That is not uncommon however not normal. It’s very possible that you need to re-bleed trim rams and hydraulic lines… but that sounds more in-line with an electrical problem or sporadic behavior with your solenoid.
      Below is a video link showing us performing this.
      ruclips.net/video/gfW3dWsSLkE/видео.htmlsi=-5tODGDtG8NN8LfR
      If that does not work, you may need to replace your trim system solenoids. We will also post a video link below showing the step-by-step process of replacing those.

      You can do 1001, 1002, 1003 from the known down location when you first launch but once you’re underway I promise you will forget how far up you trimmed. But that’s how (risky)
      Better to spend the $40 buying new sensors and the 3 hours figuring to get wires tightened in hole through transom

      Hi ! No indicator is needed to turn off the trim pump. Loosen the screws of the left sensor and adjust the distance between the cylinder axes. Hello, from Russia!))

    Do you have any idea how much $$$ you spent on the upper, lower, and gimbal rebuilds? Parts, and tools. I'm thinking about tackling my gen 2. The tools, shafts, bearings, seals really add up. Especially using oem parts. Thanks again!

      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  4 месяца назад

      @@magartus
      Thanks for the reply and clarification. We haven’t done that in the past, and that’s because it can interrupt the proper polarity of electrical power being fed to-and-from throughout the wires.
      Any form of modification or interruption of electrical power can and likely will interfere or degrade the overall performance of operation.
      This however will be personal preference, and unfortunately we can’t give you a confident answer on how it will turn out or perform…since we have not modified part and wires in any way.
      Please keep us posted. 🧰
