  • In this video I go over my custom horn button and I start to clean out my car. My battery dies as I am cleaning out my car, so I show some new footage with the new RODE Video Micro mic that I got.

It was kinda unclear to me what you were explaining, but I’m glad you pointed out the colors of the wires and where they go. 👍

Thanks man exactly wha i was looking for. you make up for not showing the wires by verbally assiging them GRN/BLK is horn , GRN is an extra cable to grond the button. Luckily ! :D i have a couple of those blank switches laying around. And i ordered like a generic led ring doorbell type horn button off Amzon just now. Will receive sunday when i most likely will revisit this video to fix i bc i probably forgot which was green and such.
    Much love bro

so you did this without using your clock spring?

So since the horn wire doesn't go through the column of the wheel, it isn't required in the first place.

ohhh ok so as long as you ground the main horn wire before the clockspring it will work cause i have a 2002 NB

Yeah pretty much. I just found the wire before the main part of the steering column and added wire to it. Basically: original wire > new wire > button > new wire > ground location.

ok sounds good also is your airbag light going off cause I just remembered im pretty sure you need to loop the wires on the clockspring itself to complete the circuit to shut off the airbag light

@@eurownedmk71.88 Sorry, just saw this. If I remember correctly, you need a specific resistor, or some type of circuit to pulse it correctly. They designed it in such a way to require specific voltage or something so people can't easily just disable the airbag light, idk.
