I mean to be fair I saw this card and immediately fell in love with it too. The abilities are hilarious. (Bare in mind one of my favorite decks to play my Nelly Borrca Group Hug/Slug goad stax deck)
Just one thing I think you missed: When a creature enchanted with a bestow ability dies, the bestow creature does not die, but becomes a creature again instead, so trickster elk doesn't go to the grave that easily. Maybe something like kenrith's transformation would do that role better.
cards you might not have considered Noetic Scales bounces any creatures larger than # cards in hand every upkeep. A standout addition during playtesting. Expedition Map: get an artifact in grave and can go get a fetch or other land Kindred cards (formerly tribal) is another type for upping delirium so those cards are worth considering ex: tarmogoyf nest: for the goyf plan eldritch immunity: to protect commander from removal (if manabase supports it) lignify: commander removal eyeblight's ending: creature removal
Jund grouphug is my favorite kind of group hug. Vazi, Keen Negotiator and Yurlok of Scorch Thrash are similar in that they have gifts to give... but at a price.
Yeah I defs am thinking on picking this winter up along side a winter edh deck. I am just finishing building my first deck zinnia, and I want a graveyard deck and a lands deck.
You're probably going to want to run strip mine since reliquary tower is one of the most commonly played cards in commander and messes up your main plan.
This is the commander I'm currently most excited for from Duskmourn. I love the deck teck and I'm definitely using it, i wonder if there's a chance you could do a no budget all in pain version in the future, if yes that would be awesome if not no worries. I love your videos please keep up the amazing work👍
Buried alive can give you automatic deleirum if you search for multi type creatures. Enchant creature + artifact creature + ??? And then buried alive goes to gy and thats at least 4 types.
I built a whole deck for Winter before he released also, but to avoid making it too nekusar-y im not running a single wheel. Win cons are either slow grind off draw punishes or Goyfs smashing
Would you mind making a niko deck tech out of all the other non monster legends his card makes me the most excited due to him being nb representation and he seems to be the first azorious deck I’d want to make and keep, my Urza deck didn’t last and became tetzin
Damn i was so excited to build it, when i suddenly realised what a monster it is to play against 😢 I will just proxy it make 3/4 games and quit probably
If you have way to consistently discard creatures, would it be worth it to run enchantment creatures and artifact creatures to get 2 types at once early?
This is the second deck list I've seen with urzas saga, and it doesn't make a lick of sense. Sure, you get a multitypal land that helps delirium out, but that's not unique, there are plenty of cards that fill that role here already. What are you doing with the construct? What hyper important artifact are you tutoring out?
If you can name another land that puts itself in the grave and helps us get our delirium up by having 2 types I’m down to listen. It’s just super free I get not wanting to include it for budget reasons but if I’m trying to be optimal it makes a lot of sense. 😁
@@decktechsfordecksScene of the Crime is an artifact land that can tap for any color so long as you have a creature, and can crack itself to draw a card. Treasure Vault, while slower than Urza's Saga if you're just looking to put a multitypal land into grave, can generate treasure tokens and has a way bigger payoff. There's only a handful of multitypal lands in the game, and since only 2 of them can put themselves into the grave on their own I don't believe that's a viable route to take for delirium. I think it's just better to just get a land into grave fast with fetch lands or even Boseiju (which provides way more value than Saga in this deck), and to just have regular multitypal lands hit grave from discard/mill effects. I just think it's a waste of a deck slot to wait 3 turns for an enchantment land to hit grave for a sol ring
It’s not a waste of a deck slot sense it’s just taking up a slot that goes to a land. Like I said it’s just super free. It even ramps us when it leaves sense we just grab sol ring the only real reason not to run it would be budget (which I understand 100%) the synergy is there 😁
@@decktechsfordecksI highly recommend trying out Dryad Arbor. Its the only land creature in the game, and counts as both in grave for delirium. Its also a forest, so its searchable off fetch lands too. It also makes Buried Alive your best turn 3 play, since you can get an enchantment, artifact, creature, and a land in grave all in one turn, making Winter active on turn 4
Yeah, this seems rather like a mean commander to me. That being said, it's perfect for any player who wants spectators, not opponents. The video title says it all.
If any of you emo space warlocks need an extra $15 to spend on magic cards don’t forget to click that whatnot link in the description 😊
I like how duskmourn isn’t even out yet and this guy is already making a deck tech for winter misanthropic guide
to be fair, it is generic enough that you can build from an existing pool of cards. The only changes you may make, are synergy pieces from Duskmourn.
Ngl I was already impatient for this tech 😂

Yup, Bestow is great and even dodges most board wipes because of this. =D

Painful Quandry! You need it here its so mean... And effective
I like the new all types matter jund theme thats emerging. New Korvold, Winter, even Baba Lysaga

Or play into it and use tempt with discovery so they'll tutor the tower OR Bojuka Bog & you'll get Urborg+Coffers in exchange
I run both strip mine and wasteland in my version
@@wchenful you can also turn off delirium with an escape effect, then turn it back on with a Faithless Looting type card to blank the tower.

One step closer to a super viable legendary wheels.
Are there any changes you would make to this list with the cards that came out?
What would you update your deck with now that Duskmourn is out?
I feel like Razorkin Needlehead, Lord of the Balemurk could be synergistic cards.

I pulled the fancy art Winter earlier and want to build around him…but the more I think it starts to feel too vicious
Dude this commander works in your Yidris deck as part of the 99
I just pulled this right now went to get a pack driving back home opened it pulled it and a shiny dual land and a insect token
Winter should fit nicely in my Coram deck, 100% mill themed so getting delirium is easy
Thoughts on Nath of the Gilt Leaf?
One step closer to a Warlock deck.
needs a megrim i think so whenever opponents discard cards they get burned for damage. manabarbs might be fun too

Any thoughts about Uba Mask?

Hey just letting you know the decklist has 2 Archfiend of Ifnir so I’m not too sure which card is missing
Man can you please build a Arabella, abandoned doll? Love your builds
Whats the best starting hand with this deck?
Love the way this deck is gonna work but don't like the $$$ flying out my pocket 😂
🔥🔥🔥 build
Can someone put the link in the comments? Hyperlink in the description dont work on mobile.
I'm scared.
9 card types isn't way more than 7

the video audio is off... and thats all i can focus on
Giving cards to opponents is bad. No matter how you spin it. Whoever goes after Winter will always benefit the most.
With Winter everyone draws on your upkeep rather than their* own, so at least you benefit more than any opponent does.
Group Slug, not group hug.
Dope😂
Between the name and the haircut winter has big they/them energy but we’ll wait and see.
What ever happened to people just being stoked someone pulled off something awesome rather than crying about it?
Do people actually just sit there and make the playgroup miserable?
Lots of people do. lol Just most tend not to do so intentionally.
Jund is mean. Jund is not nice. Jund is best.
Way more than 7? Aren't there 8?
Creature
Artifact
Enchantment
Instant
Sorcery
Land
Basic
Legendary
Battle
Kindred
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Easily circumvented by grave hate and Reliquary Tower effects.
@@zackkelley2940 I was wondering how this interacts with Reliquary Tower. Is there a timing rule or does the tower negate this card's ability?
@@TedMattos Timing.
Drop it AFTER Winter is out.
Later time stamp takes priority.
