Had the time of my life playing Zimone with Hedge Shredder. Almost every turn I was manifesting big creatures and flipping them instantly for free, and by turn six I was also casting big creatures because I had a giant stack of lands. I'm new to Commander, but Zimone is the most fun I've had by far.
Good deck tech Broken bond synergizes your removal and landfall package. You could also swap your counterspells out for the morph ones if you want to put stuff in people dont usually see. Then your walking atlas’s become counterspells. It also prevents a potential issue where your manifested card is an instant or sorcery. You can also swap some of your ramp spells for the adventure and enchantment ramp to solve this problem. Like beanstalk giant, spelunking and beanstalk wurm. It you don’t have a vorinclex brine elemental and vesuvan shapeshifter do the same together.
Ive been running her out of the box, and the precon is already crazy fun playing with friends. If you have nothing better to do, you can flip other lands face up. It may not trigger landfall but you still ramp like crazy. The opportunities you have because she has keyword "permanent" is so open and crazy.
I ended up with a similar direction. Extra land drops with stuff like azusa and sakura tribe scout. The biggest difference is I removed all kodamas reach and rampant growth stuff for card draw and use stuff like quirion ranger, scrub ranger, oboro, meloku, and trade routes to put lands back in had to redrop them. I could see running out of actually lands in hand becoming an issure in your list, even with the bounce lands, making walking atlas and all pretty dead cards. Maybe Sylvan scrying over rampant growth for a bounce land? Also, paranormal analyst. Keep up the good work! Love the content
Horizon of Progress with seedborn muse and any landfall card draw is really good. Also think you’re sleeping on how good Paranormal Analyst is in this deck. It’s basically draw a card every-time you manifest dread.
I don’t know what everyone else things but I think it would be so cool and awesome to see you make a high powered Wolverine deck when the marvel crossover happens
I rarely do this but I went with cultivate an kodamas reach here so we get one land and the option to play another right away if we didn’t have a drop for turn. The reason I favor cultivate in this scenario is because a good portion of the deck puts lands from our hand into play and harrow can whif if you don’t have enough permanents to turn face up and you’ve already made your land drop. It’s a min max but I figured I’d respond I hope this helps 😁
lmao thats exactly how i won today … went on to draw my whole deck and bounce everything … played omniscience with scroll of fate. a nice card to manifest cards from ur hand (also good synergy with seedborn)
The moxfield link in this does come out to $460. I know decks can go way more but definitely would not slot this anywhere near budget! Some awesome but pricey cards in this one
I think we have a pretty similar build. There are some different card choices, I didn't add the tap creatures that put lands into play as my focus is not really going infinite. I can see that being strong though. I added some Eldrazi also, I mean I have those and never play them. So why not. But this deck has many routes that can be good. I agree that this is not really a typical landfall as you said though. So far this deck was a ton of fun to play, even in games where I didn't really get good Manifest from the top. 😅
Ruling question - if i attack an opponent with a facedown 2/2, and they declare no blockers, can i crack a fetch land at instant speed to trigger landfall and flip my attacker up to attack for full damage? I just wabt to make sure this works and its unclear, i cant find ruling info anywhere.
Tried to combine with my omo precon and it just wasn't clicking, so I'm now back to the drawing board of, maybe, getting a GBU commander (not sure who yet) to mix Zimone with Winter to selfmill/manifest value landfall fun.
Confused on how the Whisperwood Elemental/yedora combo allows us to manifest the whole library? Doesn't the sac ability only affect creatures currently in play, not including itself? When combo'd with Zimone, I think all this does is let you keep flipping whisperwood over. I could be missing something
I tried this and if you want to also do morph stuff, it can be good. But honestly, black just isnt needed to make zimone work. Simic has everything she needs to be effective.
My Zimone build rarely sees 2/2 last more than a turn. They will always flip the turn they enter. Pretty much an Omniscience. And i dont have a single zendikar fetch. Just a bunch of all the cheapo sac fetches does it.
I did the same thing pretty much. 26 basics, 18 fetches. You can play all of the panoramas, new capenna fetches, field of ruin, demolition field... As long as they can fetch either a forest or an island, it doesn't matter if it says it can fetch other lands too. Works like a dream.
i have a vannifar deck where i can cloak a card from my hand in combat and then flicker them or turn them face up for mana cost or other cards that flip them face up like ugins mastery. i wanted to get zimone to have a weaker version of my vannifar deck for more chill games, i upgraded it a tiny bit, but honestly... this deck is just vannifar without the need for flicker spells, you just play lands and get everything for free. its so incredibly boring and honestly a kill on sight commander, each opponent should just remove or counter zimone as soon as you play here or play a cultivate or whatever.
tldr: vannifar is unique and has fun interactions, zimone is kind of similar but overdesigned and boring, very oppressive and gets dull after 5 games of "oops i have a full board, can anyone play a boardwipe? yes? okay i counter that, gg" edit: it basically is just another simic landfall deck, but you dont even need to cast your landfall dudes
4/16/2021 If one of these Forests is turned face up, the effect making it a Forest land will expire. The face-up permanent will again have its printed name, type line, mana cost, abilities, and so on. Straight from the gatherer
Blightsteel Colossus... talk about a jump scare
😂
@@decktechsfordecks you ended up putting a lot of cards with ETB triggers in your deck which don't trigger if they're flipped up from Zimone
Facts haha I got that to
Way too salty that colossus 😂

Pair this Shredder with Spelunking and you'll have one massive untapped landfall effect 😍
Good deck tech

Zimone is amazing. Manifest Dread is incredibly potent.

Ok i didnt watch the Video fully but from the first 10 seconds i nearly expect a zimone reanimator Deck or something freaky like that XD
Horizon of Progress with seedborn muse and any landfall card draw is really good. Also think you’re sleeping on how good Paranormal Analyst is in this deck. It’s basically draw a card every-time you manifest dread.
I built her with Threats Around Every Corner and Paranormal Analyst. She is real fun.
Of course you did. Literally made for her cards.
I don’t know what everyone else things but I think it would be so cool and awesome to see you make a high powered Wolverine deck when the marvel crossover happens
Surprised I don’t see any Harrow effects, is there a reason for that? Love the ideas, thanks!

@@decktechsfordecks That actually makes a lot of sense, I might pull a couple Harrows out of mine now. Thanks!
@@YourIrishSkin no problem 😁
Harrow is instant speed though so it gives you two landfall trigger during an opponents turn that if you ask me is really powerful
“Simone is boring” ok buddy I’m just gunna filp my omniscience and hull breaker horror face up on turn 5.
Right! 😂
lmao thats exactly how i won today … went on to draw my whole deck and bounce everything … played omniscience with scroll of fate. a nice card to manifest cards from ur hand (also good synergy with seedborn)
Ngl that does actually sound like a very boring game
I've done it turn 2 but I turned her to be cEDH playable though lol
Do you think you could do a completely non budget version of this deck I would love to see a super high powered one
Non budget = Print your own cards 😂
@@cpt_redbeard9787 you aren't wrong lol I mean why spend thousands of dollars when all I do is play with friends? Seems like a waste of money to me.

Can you do a video of Marina Vendrell! I heard she’s pretty good

😅
Zimone is literally omniscience for permanents with extra steps.
I think you meant to say its Omniscience in your command zone. Lol
@@aechlloyd9593 for permanents. She “can’t “ play instant’s /sorceries for free.
can you do a full power decklist for zimone? like if budget was no concern. pretty please?

Yes you can
Habibi, what Bounce lands? All I can think of is The Simic one and Guildless Commons. Are there more?
Both karoo lands, there's a desert from otj too
@@IgorSilva-m4z brooooooooooooo TY!!
I've yet to see a decklist that has Dark Depths, and that makes me sad
lol wtf thats insane
I just want to flip my Megatron Blighsteel and put it into Tank mode

How would you reflip Zimone after casting Ixidron?
Im working on a version that abuses the instant speed of fetch lands as well. So many versions work with this conmander
Confused on how the Whisperwood Elemental/yedora combo allows us to manifest the whole library? Doesn't the sac ability only affect creatures currently in play, not including itself? When combo'd with Zimone, I think all this does is let you keep flipping whisperwood over. I could be missing something
Im a little confused on the hullbreaker interaction. How are you giving creatures flash?
Alchemists refuge and emergence zone
I am still not really sure. Am I able to flip sorcerys or instants with the second zimone trigger?
No, instant and sorceries must be cast to do their effect. If you turn face up an instant or sorcery they automatically get face down.
Im trying to figure out how to combine this with Kadena slinking sorcerer to actually make this stronger
I tried this and if you want to also do morph stuff, it can be good. But honestly, black just isnt needed to make zimone work. Simic has everything she needs to be effective.
I'm really bummed they didn't print more manifest stuff in colorless. I have a whole deck that plays similarly to this with Omarthis
Do Kona please!

Zimone is waaaaay too strong lol.
My favorite commander from the new set minus the obvious 4 mana rakdos.

Zedora combo does not work because it specifically says that they loose all abilities so even if you turn it around its stilk a forest
