Queen gibdo is super underrated, I absolutely love the boss design. The creepy insect mannerisms, the chaotic swarms of gibdo, it's just a fantastic boss overall in my opinion
I actually ended up using FAIRIES during the fight! For some reason, Queen gibdo took FOREVER, and It may be because I fought her last. She had a lot of health when hit with arrows, and that proved to be the only way I could hit her at all, since she spawned tornadoes whenever I got close. Even though she spent half the fight limping due to riju and my stockpile of chu jelly, her attacks tore through my ZONAITE ARMOR! It was fully upgraded as well! The gibdoes were also hard to deal with, as the sandy floor made us move as fast as they did(I chose to not buy sand boots). The bigger issue was that they distracted riju from the main target, and the crawling ones were A NIGHTMARE! Overall, queen gibdo is, so far, my favorite boss in the game!
I thought Colgera was so fun. It wasn’t a combat test like the other bosses. It felt like an original Zelda boss. You needed to analyze the boss, and realize you can crash through it’s ice weak points. And it was so fun because of that. It’s a spectacle and it was amazing
you don't need to use an arrow to break colgera's shell, you can just dive through while its full glass. You can beat Colgera with no weapons and items. He was also my favorite boss because of this.
Agreed. I’ve seen so few people fight it this way. During the fight I mostly used arrows, but at a point I saw the spikes opening up the ice from the top and thought “wait, will this actually work?!?!”
@animedrummerboy True he was easy. However I liked falling down while dodging the spikes and then piercing him with my dive ability. Sometimes, the spikes would hit me. The developer should have made arrows unless due to the wind. People would have enjoyed him more.
Colgera is such a fun boss. There’s so much energy, especially with Tulin shouting “Go! Go!” When the opportunity arises. And the music, ffs I’m still humming that constantly
@@carian_moon Plus you can just ignore Riju. Using electric items isn’t cheese. You’re not throwing fire bombs over a boss door ala Dark Souls 1. They’re an intended resource that you most likely have a good amount of because you just went through the desert.
I honestly liked the first phase of the Ganondorf fight because it's like here it is, he tried to make a new body in BOTW, he tried to make a new body in AOC, but here he is he finally restores his body, and I suuuuuuuck at parry and fury so I just got immediately knocked to the floor, and to have him walk up to you slowly all "is that all?" it was pretty great.
Would it even save for the compendium? I mean I guess the game still saves your progress after the fight it just sends you back before with your previous items but it still feels weird to me
To take off mech weapons just attach a new one, it gets rind of the old thing that was there, and you can completely kill the seized one with just cannons lol
When I fought phantom Gannon in Hyrule castle, I had all 4 sages out and each sage took on their own phantom Gannon. It was like 5 1vs1 battles occurring simultaneously, so awesome.
I actually loved the queen Gibo fight. Favorite temple boss in my opinion. You can still deal damage when its not stunned and honestly I feel like most of the bosses in the game are too easy anyway because their stuns last for five years and if you have any kind of good weapon you can kill it fast
Yeah the lightning temple was the first main quest line I went to and I’d be lying if I said I was a little disappointed in the other temples. Queen gibdo was the only one that took me more than a few attempts because of my low equipment, and it was so much fun and so satisfying to actually beat her. The entire regional phenomena was hands down my favorite, especially the part where we defend gerudo town, I thought that was going to be a thing for all of the other towns too and then eventually lookout landing.
24:37 When all the gloom circles are coming at you at once, just do a spin attack with the master sword. It will deflect all the circles back to him, doing tremendous damage.
For anyone having trouble with Queen Gibdo, you don’t need Riju’s ability to subdue it. You can simply attach an elemental fruit like a Fire Fruit or Shock Fruit to an arrow and it will turn the Queen white. When the Queen is crawling away, simply hit her enough times and she’ll be stunned.
You forgot to mention how Demon King Gannon has the attack that can obliterate your heart containers so you can’t even recover them with the sundelion food.
I can’t believe ppl don’t like queen gibdo. She was so good! Also you can stun her but just doing damage after the first time. It was super difficult tbh. She was the most engaging boss after the muctorok which I loved for the same engagement and also it’s ugly cute 😂😂😂 but queen gibdo was great y’all are nuts
Personally, queen gibdo was actually my favorite fight other than ganon himself. Once you find out how to damage them, the fight is really fun. The second phase is super chaotic which makes the gameplay frantic and fun in my opinion. It was also a nice step up in difficulty since I felt most of the other bosses were too easy.
Queen gibdo and Colgera are my favorite regional phenomena bosses. The second phase of Queen Gibdo wasn't hard for me, but it was probably because that was one of the last regional phenomena bosses I did
I understand why Colgera's your favorite, going through the skies above the very stormwind Ark that was foreshadowed when arriving in Rito village, diving through the weak spot that was shown how with the ice circles found on your way to the Ark, and the adorable Tulin and the most useful sage ability ever (sry everyone else) Also, Ganondorf's army as a main monster's battle gallery was actually really fun of a first phase (took me some time prior to reaching Gerudo town that the Gibdos were elemental sensitive) Also, as soon as Ganondorf pass from Gerudo mode to Demon mode (and its double health bar, which made me go "woah! Slow that bar of yours!!!" when I saw it go past its "regular limit"). 1 thing Nin10doland forgot to mention (but has at least been shown at 24:37) is that as soon as Demon Ganondorf has its bar dropped to "regular length" (maybe a bit before that as well, not so sure), Ganondorf can actually destroy the heart containers (not just deactivating it like the base gloom attacks) in the same way as the beginning of the game (at least, winning that battle give you back all the hearts for the battle of the dragons)
I think seized construct was so much fun to fight. When I was younger I loved real steel and it reminded me so much of it so I personally put that fight a lot higher :)
Since 20 is a lot to list I’ll just give my top 3. 1. Demon Dragon: This boss gave me chills and was seriously the most perfect ending to any game I’ve ever played. Sure it was easy, but that’s totally ok because that wasn’t the point of it. It was meant to be a more visual ending and I couldn’t have asked for more. 2. Colgera: For mostly the same reasons you stated this boss was incredible and honestly it was probably better for me considering it was the first boss I fought giving the absolute best first impressions I could ask for. 3. Demon King Ganondorf: This boss was super difficult and I probably wouldn’t have ranked it high when I was in the moment fighting it because it was super frustrating, but that feeling when I finally landed my last hit on him was so satisfying. I actually felt for once like I really took down a formidable threat!
You’re introduced to the defeating Colgera mechanic the moment you enter rito village. I had so much fun hopping on the puddles, I went and broke them all. Then they ended up being the mechanic to defeat the boss???? Sickening
I actually didn't realize you could just dive through Colgera to damage it until a friend told my that's how he beat it, I was using eyes and wings attached to arrows to break the shell and damage it. This was the first temple I did and the fight felt properly epic in a way that none of the fights in Breath of the Wild did, and it really shows how much work Nintendo put in to take an already amazing game and make it that much better
Wow for the main 4 temple bosses I have them in basically the opposite order 4 Marbled Gohma hate the upside down section but ok aside from that 3 Colgera great design but way too easy and lacks attacks 2 Mucktorok fun and unique boss but also a bit too easy 1 Queen Gibdo like the challenge, great attack patterns and great design always keeps me on edge
my rank was a bit similar, with Queen Gibdo no.1 because of the challenge and she actively dodges your attacks, Colgera no.2 because of the absolutely astonishing scenery and cool counter design, Marbled Gohma no.3 because... just because and Mucktorok no.4 because it's kind of lacking the point of utilizing the anti-gravity area and way too easy to cheese
My list is the same as yours except swap 3 and 2. I liked colgera more than mucktorock after fighting it a second time in the depths and actually diving through the ice stuff instead of just shooting it. Gohma was to fast and easy for me to enjoy.
For the seized construct you don’t have to waste the cannon/frost emittor or whatever, you can just fuse the bunch of spike balls on the ground, your hand doesn’t need to be empty to fuse for this
The Frox is kind of like all of the the other main 3 minibosses combined, It has the Hinox's eye, the Talus's ore deposit weak point, and it sucks up bombs like Muldugas.
Wait you can hit Colguerra from the top?! And even dive through it?! That’s sooo cool. I did it the lane way and just blasted arrows from the bottom. I’ll have to Go find him in the Depths and try this out.
When you are on your construct, to remove a weapon from your hands or back, all you got to do is walk up to the weapon or Device you want to attach, hit X, then attach the weapon or device to the desired location. It will then remove what you already have attached to attach the new weapon to it.
I loved the fight with queen Gibdo. I spend way too much time OBSESSING over every little detail, so I learned how Riju moves and fights, making it significantly easier to get her to focus. Plus you can whistle to call allies to help. The mechanics also worked well, as I had the other sages by this point to help out. Gibdos are weak to all elements, so the fight was streamlined when all of this was added up. Plus that design. Ughugh. So creepy. And last thing, these bosses all have depths rematches which make them decently tougher on account of not being able to see squat. In normal gravity, mucktorok was decently tough.
Did you know that there is a certain spot on the 5th floor of the lightning temple that if you ascend through, takes you to the boss arena? Queen Gibdo isn't there though, so you can't beat the dungeon.
Colgera is my fav too. The music, the stage, the ambiance,.... Everything is perfect and epic. Sure it's super easy but it reminds me of the leviathan in FF15. Also not a hard fight but epic music and a grand stage/ boss. 10/10 fight in all of Zelda and I've played them all lol
I almost just started a 2nd paragraph on the music. That 2nd phase music is exactly what Zelda music is about and one of the few things missing from old zelda games in this generation
When I fought Colgera, I was worried that all of the bosses will have weak spots but it’s one of the only 4. The other three are Marbled Gohma, Seized Construct, and Demon Dragon
There are reasons there are strategies to beat all the bosses without the sages. Tulin is not very useful for colgera, even for a casual. You can just use Recall and Ascend on Marbled Gohma. And you already explained the other two. They did this because if you go straight to Ganondorf, you have to fight them without the sages
Tip for moldugas: throw a apple manually away from you but toward the molduga then the molduga will come towards it eat it and you can attack it but if your really greedy you can recall the apple to fet it back for queen gibdo shoot it with elemental items
14:29 you can’t take them off, the only simple solution is to just fuse stuff. For example, you have a arm canon, you don’t want that? Fuse a spike spike ball to it. That destroys your arm canon for the spike ball that you fused.
14:58 you can take hands off, literally sue replace it, go into attach something, say you have a flame emitted on right hand, just attach the other thign to the right hand and it will replace flame emitter
If you have a non melee weapon when fighting the robot, just go to the nearest melee thing and just press attach and it will replace the non melee weapon with the melee weapon.
If you have something fused to one of your hands before you enter the seized construct boss fight, you can remove it by trying to fuse something else to that hand. So that isn’t a valid complaint.
I like the final fight fight the most because of the scale and tone. Being hard does not improve a boss fight. Bread goes hard if you leave it out but that's not really an improvement. For me it's all about the feel of the fight and why I'm fighting it. Fighting those random bokoblin that you see attacking people has meaning to me because I'm Link and Link helps people. Fighting a Frox because can be fun but doesn't really mean anything to me.
That is a really good point, but what's interesting for me is that I ended up liking the final boss the most BECAUSE it was difficult in its own special way, which added to the feel of just how powerful the foe is. It's not just "a hard boss" but specifically takes away some of the player's most powerful strengths and turns them into new obstacles, mainly the flurry rushes and the fact that he can permanently break your hearts
They saw how upset people were in BOTW when Calamity Ganon's HP was cut in half after getting the four Devine beasts and so in TOTK they said, "Y'all didn't like that, well here, we hope you like this."
I honestly liked queen gibdo. It was defiantly more challenging than the other dungeon bosses, but it didn't frustrate that much. (or maybe that is because I had OP weapons at the time I fought it so I was able to kill it in 2 cycles, idk). but ig everyone struggles on different bosses depending on their play style, because I struggled on mucktorok (mostly phase two due to sludge) for some reason.
What you really are supposed to do when fighting Colgera is when he shoots the spikes at you are supposed to just drop right through including the first level
If you haven’t noticed the “Zeized” construct fight was mostly an ARMS battle. I don’t know how many missed that? And I’ve never even really played ARMS 😅
My opinions: Colgera has the best atmosphere and music, but the Fused Construct is the most fun to fight. Ganondorf is easily the most difficult, followed by Queen Gibdo.
14:16 yes you didn’t know what you were doing, your thinking that muniru and i hope i said her name right is just like fuse, you can actually just attach anything to her hands or back and the thing you had on you hands or back before gets replaced
gibdo was way better than all the other main boss fights because it was actually a tiny bit of a challenge in contrary to the others. sludge octorock dude is harder in the underground at least without the reduced gravity
I agree clogera is my favourite boss in totk i also love both of the mech bosses but i haven't been ganon or dragon but when i beet a silver liynar I'll try again

I didn't know how much a stalnox would tear itself apart. It started with just its ribs. Then its jaw then its left arm
How long does it go? Lol
@@Jazzin96 once it tears of its arm then it just through explosive barrels
@@katharinedixon8080 and then?
Imagine saying “Phantom Ganon is meant to train you for the final boss” and then saying “Ganondorf is too similar to Phantom Ganon”
I always recall the rock Gohma shoots to hit him back.
My favourite boss in this game is either gohma or gleeok because they feel so awesome to finally kill and they are cool bosses from zelda 1
For moldugas I just throw a bright bloom seed to distract it, since I'm having trouble trying to stay below 999 of them now.
For queen gibdo, you can also use yunobo or sidon to weaken her, or throw splash fruit, fire fruit, or ice fruit
In the zeised construct fight there were a bunch of wrecking balls you could put on your hands
Sidon’s ability allows you to one sought the sludge form of the Mucktrok
14:58 you can take hands off, literally sue replace it, go into attach something, say you have a flame emitted on right hand, just attach the other thign to the right hand and it will replace flame emitter
If you have a non melee weapon when fighting the robot, just go to the nearest melee thing and just press attach and it will replace the non melee weapon with the melee weapon.
Queen Gibdo is still my second favorite (next to the obvious) just because she provided challenge… at all.
In order to change weapons while fighting the size to construct you just fuse over what you already have fused
If you have something fused to one of your hands before you enter the seized construct boss fight, you can remove it by trying to fuse something else to that hand. So that isn’t a valid complaint.
Colgera might not be hard but it's the spectacle of a Kaiju fight which is great
I like the final fight fight the most because of the scale and tone. Being hard does not improve a boss fight. Bread goes hard if you leave it out but that's not really an improvement. For me it's all about the feel of the fight and why I'm fighting it. Fighting those random bokoblin that you see attacking people has meaning to me because I'm Link and Link helps people. Fighting a Frox because can be fun but doesn't really mean anything to me.
fun boss > hard boss
That is a really good point, but what's interesting for me is that I ended up liking the final boss the most BECAUSE it was difficult in its own special way, which added to the feel of just how powerful the foe is. It's not just "a hard boss" but specifically takes away some of the player's most powerful strengths and turns them into new obstacles, mainly the flurry rushes and the fact that he can permanently break your hearts
I find it hilarious colgera is at the top I expected it to be at the bottom because it’s literally just links bow training in a tornado
nobody realized that you can play tennis against Ganondorf like you did in past games :( also you didnt mention master kohgas music!
13:32 You spelled Seized Construct wrong, in video says Zeized
Do you realize how broken a portable breakdown button on mineru would be?!?!
15:03 when you attatch a new item to the construct it deletes the old one
What you really are supposed to do when fighting Colgera is when he shoots the spikes at you are supposed to just drop right through including the first level
my three fav mini bosses
#3:Flux Construct
#2 All Types of Gleok
#1 The Lynel
For the Queen Gibdo fight use Yunobo on the queen then use other fire or lightning arrows and win
Has anyone realized that the Frox is just a fusion of the Hinox and Talus?
I see it more as a fusion between a hinox and those weird frog things you see in the depths.
If you haven’t noticed the “Zeized” construct fight was mostly an ARMS battle. I don’t know how many missed that? And I’ve never even really played ARMS 😅
Even if queen gibdo was so hard I think it is underrated and pretty good
My opinions: Colgera has the best atmosphere and music, but the Fused Construct is the most fun to fight. Ganondorf is easily the most difficult, followed by Queen Gibdo.
Bruh, you don't need to use up stuff on the construct mech. Unlike weapons, you can just fuse over it.
Is it just me or was it sort of obvious you had to shock Queen gibdo twice
When using mineru, you can just fuse items into her hands even if she already has items attached, they will just Disappear
If you beat the fire temple before queen gibdo you can use yunobos ability to burn her skin if you dont like rijus ability.
YAYYYY SOMEBODY FINALLY LIKES COLGERA!!!!! Also you can just fall thru the ice platform above the weak spot too.
What I did for the queen Hindi is I got younobo’s ability and used it on the queen gibdo. It works. Try it.
i love how this is suppose to be totk and yet he is turning this game into Links bow training
For the sized construct just attach a weapon on a hand that already has one!
I don’t understand the hate for queen gibdo maybe because I was using gibdo bone arrows but she felt fun and actually made me use my brain
She's actually pretty easy once you learn her attack patterns. The boss fight inside the temple is only hard because of the swarms of gibdos that appear during the second phase.
i feel like this video shows how even though i did half the bosses incorrectly its ok
