Ive been debating buying a sewing machine for the longest time (Im 22) - I watched your video and it inspired me to go out and buy my own sewing machine and fabrics because I struggle to find wrap tops that fit my figure correctly. So thank you for this beginner friendly, informative video you've changed my fashion game for good x
Aw Thanks so much Tatiana :) I'm happy that you decided to buy your own sewing machine/fabrics to start making your own clothes. You'll save a lot of money at the same time. Thanks for watching and supporting.
Thanks :) If you're from the Toronto area, there's a place near Spadina and Queen street, called King Textiles that I go to. Also Fabricland is another store I go to sometimes.
Hi ! You say you worked with a stretchy fabric? I want to make one with my African Wax fabric, but that doesn't really stretch a lot/is a pretty "hard" fabric.
Hi, there's no waistband, I just cut two separate strips, then attached one of each to the front left and front right of my top. Those strips make the wrap part of the top.
Hey thanks so much for this video I’m getting so annoyed though because when I make the pattern the arm bits are matching up fine but the top part isn’t 😭 ... is this normal or should I keep redoing the pattern
Hi Naomi, do you mean the armhole from the sleeve pattern? Or the bodice part? When tracing/cutting the fabric, I always make sure all the pieces are completely flat, that way all the parts should match up at the end.
I absolutely love this tutorial! Your fabric is fabulous and you explain the process in such an easy to follow manner. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome! :)
Flipping genius... Doing this over the weekend. ❤️

Hi, no it's non-stretchy fabric that I used, the 100% cotton Ankara prints, I'm assuming it's the same one that you are using.
Denise Oforiwah yes it is! Oh perfect ! Thank you so much for your videos :)
How did you wrap the waistband that's on the inside?

What kind of fabric did you use?
Hi, I used non-stretchy cotton fabric/Ankara print.
