I kind of adapted an adult hat pattern to this one and cast one 84 st with 4 mm circular needles and medium weight yarn. Increased to 85 st for the 1st chart (small white triangles), then decreased to 80 for the 2nd chart. Now I'm continuing to knit in the round until it's a long enough tube to cover my head before decreasing ☺

Hello! When you do your calculation for the tail decrease, where is the 20 taken from? (61.6 divided by 20 = 3). Great tutorial!
I have 5 mm dpn 5 of them. it is also going to work, if I make the sts an even number on each dpn. ?
