    Really glad to see an H/09 make it to your channel. I ordered mine 4 months ago and it should be ready to ship in a couple months. I got it in bright red with a set of Lundgren M9s and an arcade kill switch. This video helped to hold me over for just a bit longer. There are only a handful of videos out there on RUclips of people showing their capabilities.

    I just bought a custom 9 string... I always look around at what people are doing with 9 strings and sadly, it's always just the same sounding metal where when played low I can't even tell what's being played.
    I know this is a review, and this is not me taking a shot at you, it's not... but, is it possible for people who have access to 8 strings and 9 strings to step back and play something we can actually hear? I bought my 9 string because I tap a lot with both hands at the same time, I'd say it have never really seen it done how I do, but that does not make how I play good. Yes I have seen people tap with both hands but honestly it often sounds like a side interest.
    Now I'm not asking for Chord tapping, nor am I claiming to be great or better than anyone else at playing guitar... What I am asking for is someone to do a review playing CLEAN guitar... maybe some reverb, a light distortion that hardly breaks up, maybe even delay or just weird as pedals. I don't feel like strait unintelligible metal helps me and many others. I'd actually like to see the guitar with 8/9 strings in action... but DUHDUHDUHDUDUHDUHDUHDUHDUHDUHD does not help. I literally could not audibly distinguish almost anything you played on the 8th to 9th string.
    Just some thoughts.

    I'm stalking a Strandberg 8 to purchase in February. Beside the Aristides advantage of man-made materials, do you have an opinion on playability over long hours of practicing with the Strandberg 8 vs this H/09? I like to practice standing 75% of the time. Thanks, and Happy New Year.

    • @mindpyre1189
      @mindpyre1189 Год назад +4

      Strandberg is a brand i recommend everyone to steer away from, and im a Swede. They charge european-made (or USA-made) prices for products made in Indonesia. I've had two Strandbergs and they were not bad guitars, but far from the top dogs in the market. On one of my Strandbergs the fretboard broke (ebony) and I didnt get any support from Strandberg at all, except buy their big service-package to replace the whole neck (around 500 euro). This guitar hang on the wall beside my Gibson Custom Shop and Schecter SLS Elite which both also have ebony fretboards, and they've never showed any problems. I have two humudifiers in my studio room and a set humidity on 50% : )
      The support at Strandberg was horrendous and very unproffessional, and since that I always recommend people to look for other options!

    • @hotchow8766
      @hotchow8766 Год назад +1

      @@mindpyre1189 I understand your frustration with poor support and craftmanship. I am pursuing the Strandberg for the light weight, the fan frets and the Enduraneck. I have a nerve injury and my fretting hand becomes numb and tingly with a heavy guitar pulling on the strap, pressing on the brachial plexus. My Parker Fly gets me through practice with no problems, but the Fly has no customer support or many spare parts left on the market. My Ibanez Iron Label ARZIR27 is a wonderful, heavy guitar that gets me 20 minutes before my hand buzzes. I would ask Arnold to weigh these guitars on a scale so we could get an objective number. One man's heavy is another man's ideal. When I say AGILE, LEGATOR or KLAAS, people say bad quality control. When I say KIESEL, people say look at a STRANDBERG for the same price. Purchasing an eight string without playing it is very problematic. My only red line is Made in China. I will only buy second hand Chinese. I don't want my dollars funding the CCP if I can help it, which is very difficult.
