In today’s video I’m going to take you through a day in my life on the weekend doing some spring-cleaning, getting ready for a new season in our new home as well as some delicious meals I’ve been loving lately.

I hate cleaning the bathroom! I over think germs and it causes me to DEEP clean everything and stress myself out lol!!! Plus I recently watched a video of a toilet flushing and they showed with a black light all the splatters from the toilet water and it was gross. I’m now scarred for life.

I have smoothies every morning. Keeps me full for a fair few hours. 😋
FYI, you can clean your drinking water containers with a handful of uncooked rice. Half Fill the container with water and the raw rice. Shake well a few times then clean with detergent. The starch also naturally takes off the “grime” from inside the bottle.
My mum taught me this years ago. Works well every time!

I actually haven’t diffused any oils since getting Cashew until I can do more research on it
peppermint and lemongrass for sure are definite no no's for dogs.

Hope this doesn’t come off as rude, but you probably shouldn’t put essential oils in your dryer. It can cause a fire hazard. If you still want to scent your clothes you could try using sachets in your storage area. It works great!
Now im thinking how messy my apartment is.. I'll go clean it after watching this lol

Question about the dryer balls because I want to start using them. I love the idea of putting essential oils on them but does the oil transfer? I feel like it would get oil all over my clean clothes
I wondered the same as well, Vintage Minimalist... I used a few drops just on my unscented dryer sheets with my towels to test that but I don't see any transfer. I'm going to give it a try with another laundry load next; maybe around the house clothes. I have to wait to get the wool laundry balls. Let me know if you have tried anything. I'd be excited to compare notes. :-)

Just wondering if this is a older video because you are opening windows already. Aren't you in Canada; is it really warm enough there to open the windows already? If so I'm super jealous! I'm in Wisconsin and today it's in the 30's (f) and we have a winter weather advisory in effect until tomorrow night and are expecting 5"-10" of snow overnight into tomorrow.
Nope just filmed it 2 weeks ago. Weather has been warm enough to start letting fresh air in during the day ☺️

My 3 year old son is your #1 fan lol! We LOVE your healthy banana bread. I have made every banana bread recipe you have. We made muffins, mini loafs, mini muffins, big loafs, andddddd pancakes out of your recipe. It’s his favorite breakfast and afternoon snack. And I love that it has no sugar! Great episode. The sandwich looks absolutely Scrumptious 💚. Banana bread looks good too. I dislike cleaning windows and the track our sliding windows run along. Hard to get it clean. Vacuum nozzle won’t fit in the gap. Our home feels so nice after a good clean
At 3:53 I literally stopped the video and went to do my silicone straws but ended up cleaning 3 silverware and gadget drawers. I threw old out stuff and organized and, wow, what a diff. Isn't it funny how watching these videos can be motivating? ;) Thanks

Loved watching this video. I have banana bread in the oven right now for my mom (she actually gave me the bananas to use she wanted one so bad). They were overripe so I definitely scaled back on the sugar. I put my walnuts on the top as well. I didn’t have a second pan so I’ll have to make one for our house Sat morning and I’m adding chocolate chips to it 🤗! My least favorite thing to clean is probably the toilet. I love a clean bathroom tho so I don’t let it get to the point where I’m repulsed by it 😂. Lastly I’m so on the metal straw train now thanks to you; there is no turning back. I see me trying glass ones too now in the near future.

I have been wanting to compost but my community doesn’t have a place for me to bring my food scraps (and my yard isn’t an option). What do you do with the scraps from your countertop compost bin?
I don't like mopping. I think that's my least favorite thing to do. I would also say dust because my house gets dusty every week.

I should do a day in my life a a house keeper. I clean my friends house twice a week and its 8 hours a week. I cleaned her office for a hour and a half this morning. Some weeks its more then that if she wants more thing done. I love cleaning with vinegar. My favorite shower and tub cleaner is grease fighting soap, baking soda, vinegar and hot water. I also am a fan of making my own air fresheners. Its baking soda and essential oils. I love to use lime because it smells fresh and nice.
What kind of grill pan is that? I’m looking for a healthy type of pan to use but there’s so many mixed opinions on what’s the safest.

FYI best way to clean blinds close them. Step 1 Using your duster. Dust straight down from top to bottom. Step 2 Then close them the other way going from bottom to top & lastly best tip while blinds are closed pull the blind a little towards you and get your duster behind the blind and follow steps 1 & 2 this really gets rid of that awful dust line mark these blinds leave. Hope I helped as I used to spend many hours wasting my time cleaning them one by one.

I love to make banana muffins! Only takes about 20 min to bake and they’re super handy to freeze or take on the go!
I'm not sure which task I'm not looking forward to the most for my spring cleaning this year It's between Windows and picking up tree branches and twigs so I can eventually cut grass. Oh the homeowner life lol. Seriously though it is rewarding to have your own home, congrats on your new space 🏡

I use a potato masher to mash bananas. It doesn’t get stuck like with a whisk and is much faster than a fork!
I gotta say that I've been a big fan of your morning smoothies ... I usually have oatmeal for breakfast, but when I'm rushing with my Toddler taking him to school..... ur delicious SMOOTHIE is my easiest ever

Not sure if you’re aware of it, but be careful with essential oils (especially with the diffuser) around Cashew. Some oils are nocive for pets.
(And lots of plants and flowers too btw, always good to double check :) )
