Street Fighter II for PCE: I remember Hudson's VC PCE page said something like "some characters have new names" to explain the swapped Japanese names for probably the few people interested in the game that don't know it already.
Well, this is depressing. At least I already registered some points before that deadline. I'll see what it could be worthwhile to buy as my final purchases. The beginning of the end of a memorable shopping era.
It's not gone yet but in a couple days you can no longer buy Wii Shop points. They take the shop completely down later on, but it's kinda pointless if you can't get points :(
Why can't one add new points after that?? It makes me feel no sense that one can still download but not add points... And for some reason I thought it was may...
I think the idea is that they want to close down the shop but doing it abruptly would be annoying to people who still had lots of points in their account. So this idea to turn off point-buying but leave the shop up for a while is basically a more graceful way to end the service.
Clyde Mandelin I suppose you are right, but I'm away from my Japanese Wii now, and cannot get to it before the end of the month... So I can't do anything than stay in agony looking at those Japanese only games I can't get... Somehow I thought the due date was in May... 😭
Yeah we're still downloading stuff, so if a lot of good/important stuff seems oddly unpurchased there's probably no need to worry. Pretty much blew through our entire year budget though :(
I remember Secret Commando. Sega sold us the PAL version as an "Import" probably to avoid paying for the Rambo license to release the US version.

i played Monster World 4 when i was 13. i got it when it came out. i miss my Wii now.

You didn't download Monster World IV? You should do that, even if as a LoL thing.
