The Kawasaki GPZ500 is a brilliant first bike for those who are looking for a 'big bike' and it is also a favourite with experienced riders because of its all-round performance. ... This motorbike is second to none on ride quality because of its lightweight and narrow frame which enables it to travel quickly on the roads.

I’ve always wanted one of those here in the US. I currently have a 2021 Kawasaki Z 900 RS café and I absolutely love it. I tend to ride larger motorcycles but again I’m in the US. I’ve loved the GPZ 500s ever since they came out but never had one even though I’ve owned probably close to 15 Kawasaki‘s over the years.

I had one of these in about 2005 - used to use it to get from N France to N Lancashire - absolute hoot of a bike. One time I did the trip and caned it the entire way.

might buy one of those this weekend for 990 bucks. awfully cheap but maybe the guy just doesn't know what he's got bc god damn that thing is cool, almost started giggling when you had to turn the light on manually lol

Rear drum brake on older high mileage bikes can turn oval in the drum. Only cure is replacing the rear wheel for a lower mileage bike.
    I bet that sold quick.
I have the 1997 version. This one you have is far sportier. I've had both.

I wouldn’t consider 14,000 miles to be high mileage at all even for a 500 cc motorcycle. i’ve had Kawasaki motorcycles with 25,000 miles on them that ran like they were brand new. I don’t know if you’re referring to kilometers or miles but since the speedometer is in miles per hour I would assume that the odometer is as well.

I believe these early ones had the 16 inch front wheels which limits tyre choice a bit?

Front and rear 16" 130/80/16 110/80/17 plenty of tyres available but would be more choice with 17" wheels
