I had the same issue about a month back. New CDI box from eBay fired right up. Check the two left pins on the larger side with a multimeter. 0 resistance the box is dead.
Comment before I heard the clicking , interested to see what it is as I’ve a 1990 gpz that was mark 1 ninja 18k miles got her for £500 ! I no I got a bargain
Hiya Looking for advice, I just bought a GPZ and it fell over in the storms last night. One of the indicators is smashed, including the bracket, is this something you could video? Thanks Sarah
Eventually. Sadly I have so much going on at the moment it will be some time before I get around to restoring this. Stay tuned though , see what I can do.
@@motorcyclejunkie7564 Subscribed from Australia mate! I always admire blokes who can take a bike that for whatever reason be it time, neglect or abuse and make them "nice" again. You have a real talent and patience I just don't possess. At 64 years of age I now have to rely on local mechanics I trust to restore any barn finds into their former glory. More power to you sir! I have also rung that bell and shared with friends. Great channel! I shall be binge watching back through your other video's with great anticipation. ;-))
@@motorcyclejunkie7564 It's generally pretty damn hot to be honest but where I am we only get around 3 months when it's too wet to ride in Winter. Spring and Autumn are nice at 20C most days and a few rainy days a month but summer is a bastard and it's 3 months of 30-40C so I have to ride early in the mornings.
They only hydrolock because the original Vac tap is often replaced with the easier to fit Pet Cock. These engines and fuel systems were designed specifically with a Vac tap. I've had my GPZ500 for nearly ten years now, first thing I did was renew the Vac and I've never had any problems at all with the fuelling or electrics.
@@motorcyclejunkie7564 I can't wait to see the results but for gawd's sake if you suspect hydro locking then it's a labour of love here on in. I've seen what can go snap if the starter is applied to these engines and it's almost always never needed to be destroyed but unfortunately it means a LOT more time and work involved. Stay safe mate and I can't wait to see the results!
You'll have to declare any earning by self assessment. I think it's anything more than £1000 in a tax year. Don't forget you can also claim back for anything you buy for your channel like camera's, microphones, clothes even projects tho you'll have to declare any profits made by sales. Personally I'd just keep my mouth shut and hope you don't get caught, RUclips will have to declare any money they give you for their taxation, so your name will be in the system somewhere.
@@motorcyclejunkie7564 I would say it depends on how popular you get and how much you make karl. I got hammered by the tax man for alleged private use of a commercial company vehicle, they back taxed me 10 years even though they had no proof. They said I was being paid traveling out to site in company time in a company vehicle but because I was traveling back to my digs in my time and not being paid it was classed as private use so I had to pay 11k in back tax, told them I couldn't afford so it'll have to be paid on PAYE which I did for two years but then my tax code went back to normal, I certainly didn't pay back the full amount. I refused to work any overtime with my new employer at the time I was paying it back as any money I made extra just went straight to tax. My new company weren't happy but understood why I was refusing.
@bob p I used to have a company car in a previous life as a sales engineer. I just used to put a token amount of personal mileage per month, say around 250 miles, and the rest as business use, regardless of what the real split was. Seemed to satisfy the tax man back then but it was 15 years ago and things may have changed.
Yes I've been waiting for a new video from you for a while can't wait to see what's up with this one and for you to sort it
Will get to it eventually but need to get the chinese shitbox sorted. Cheers

Its not a bad price on the face of it, but the guy told me it was a runner, when you see part two you will know what I mean!
If you earn less than £2000 per year it’s fine 👍🏻
Kip it up

It's not Chinese, at a guess I would say battery or maybe engines seized Carl 👍
Hopefully you're wrong, seized is not good. I'll wager its hydro locked as these are reknowned for it.
