I think it's more just people want to see Sylosis getting more love because they're still very underrated and have more focus on guitar, which I think is worth mentioning. I much prefer sylosis but it's no issue really, comments have ensured that their name is in the discussion so all's good

Been a fan of both Architects and Sylosis for years now. I really respect Josh's decision to hold back his sick shreds to write riffs that seem more in line with the sound Architects established with Tom. At the same time, he doesn't simply mimic Tom's guitar but adds his signature death metal flair into the melodies. I think this sensibility what makes Josh not just an awesome guitarist, but a great musician. Looking forward to the upcoming album!
Nice. The smells like teen spirit solo was the first song that chilled my soul. The awakening of my connection to soulful music and myself. Sylosis also touches me like many others can't. Proud of you and can't wait to see sylosis live. One of my highest dream that will come true. keep shredding with soul and without mercy soulbro. Digging the album, I sever too.
Actually I now actively use this phenomenon when learning anything. Practice religiously for a week, then ignore it completely for at least a week. When going back to it, you will have progressed massively. I now swear by it.

One of the sickest riffs they have ever written is definitely "Mortal after all". Such a banger! Interesting to see how "Royal beggars" just came naturally to Josh. "Holy Hell" simply remains one of the greatest Modern Heavy records of all time. Just goes right to the core... ;)
He is such an awesome guitarrist, and musician overall. The fact that he has done so much cool shit in Sylosis, and Architects is something to be celebrated. Probably Architects is giving him the exposure and... well, the money that Sylosis, being so "niche" (at least in terms of market and comercial success), would never have. I honestly feel very happy of seeing such a fucking good guitarrist making a name for himself and flying high.
Josh's magical riffs always emerge when he gives it his all on Sylosis. Without a doubt. Capable of memorable and epic creations impossible to get out of your head. He is capable of playing more extreme styles of metal. I hope any day is encouraged. All a contemporary reference for me.
What kind of baffles are those? I love his room! Royal Beggars 💀 Also having the chunky stuff always makes the more intricate stuff really shine for Architects. I love how he keeps innovating & I'm excited for the new record. So glad this band & guitarist exist.

yea battery was a game changer for me as well. damage inc. was another fun one to practice off of master of puppets. shout out to my mom dukes for buying that guitar booklet for me that christmas. ******* had to go back to edit this just to say i'm so glad he threw black lungs in there! that is by far my favorite song of the new album.
@@mikebills3120 to me the newest newest isn't to my liking. The doomsday album was good but the past albums were much better. The singles after doomsday are definitely not to my liking. Seems like they've left the heavy technical style they used to have.
Still suprises me that he still uses a 25.5" scale for the "Architects" tuning - I do that too (simply because I don't want to buy an extended range 6 string at the moment) - but with a 80 gauge string on the top. Also, it seems he switches guitars with different tuning - one for the "Architects" tuning and one in E-standard for Metallica and the new Architects songs with octave pedal on top.

Mortal After All and Doomsday are what he mentioned but I think it's those two, Dying To Heal and Death Is Not Defeat.
Dan Searle had said that Tom had worked on four songs and that Tom is all over that record. So sad.
