@@daoyang223 Agreed, uses sweeps in his songwriting and treats them like more of a loop to highlight and colour interesting chord progressions. Sound good too.
Josh is a sensational frontman, awesome player and his vocals are monstrous. Can't wait for this!
To think, their old vocalist left and he stepped up learnt how to properly scream and sing and kept up the insane riffage while doing it.
I love the sound of Sylosis in the morning.

Had the pleasure of meeting Josh and seeing sylosis live many times, they are an incredible band with some banging riffs, definitely underrated in the metal scene
Next video should be 4 levels of Periphery! You could also do 3 seperate videos because Mark, Jake and Misha all write riffs that are unique from one another.

I watched this episode when it came out and now again since have been listening so much of Sylosis lately. In the end you said you can't play more FFVII remake, but this year we can! Has been hell of a wait. :D

If you have very little of the pick poking out you can get pinch harmonics on an upstrokes using the knuckle of your index finger. It's a bit trickier than normal pinch harmonics, though.

Now this is what I've been waiting for.
I've discovered so many new bands thanks to 4 levels of death metal.
The first part of Last Remaining Light is one of my favorite standard tuning riffs to play. It's not terribly hard once you get used to it, but something about it makes my forearm burn like crazy.
This IS the greatest crossover of all time!
Thomas Middleditch is truly phenomenal, much like yourselves, very unique style
Awakening is my favorite Sylosis song, and that's my favorite riff on that track, so it was cool to see that in here.

Edge of the Earth is a masterpiece and their best album imo. People often hold Conclusion of an Age as the best but I just love the progressive elements of EotE and the raw, gritty emotion of Josh's vocals
Edge of the earth and monolith are metal masterpieces, must listen to albums. Whole discography is amazing tho.
