    Hmm so in recap, she’s overweight. A caring parent spent a lot of money to attempt and help her with an unhealthy lifestyle. He took to work to spend time with her, while still earning money to support her. And she was punished for being disciplined when she was disruptive. Yup that sounds super toxic.

    • @MamaJewels99

      Being sent to fat camp is telling a child they are not good enough the way they are and makes them feel lesser than and unlovable. That’s just traumatic for a kid. Being shleped around from place to place where your dad needs to be is not the same as quality time and giving his daughter his undivided attention which every child deserves. So yes that is unhealthy and toxic. Being rich doesn’t make it better.

    • @sonofhibbs4425
      @sonofhibbs4425 26 дней назад +3

      I know, right!? It sounds like he tried which is way more than what a lot of kids get. She just didn’t get undivided attention and she’s sore about it. That doesn’t make him ‘’toxic’’ or “VERY toxic” as so put it.

      @MamaJewels99 Being sent to fat camp is what good parents who can afford it do when they are concerned for their overweight children's health and they have exhausted their own abilities to instill healthy eating habits in them. I am overweight, and the only reason I am not obese is because my parents did what they could to keep me from shoveling food into my face before I understood the damage I was doing to my body. If my parents had the money, fat camp would have been a gift. If Elle was stuck in a wheelchair with heart problems, would you blame Rob for allowing her to do that to herself?

I know he won’t remember this story because it happened such a long time ago, but I met Mr. Schneider at LAX when he was waiting for either his father or his uncle at the international terminal, arriving on an Air France flight. He had asked me if he was at the right place, and I told him, no, Air France arrives at terminal two. He asked me to walk with him to terminal two, and there was no way I was going to say no lol. As we walked to the terminal, fans were shouting, you can do it! I asked him if it ever bothered him, but he was so positive about the situation and his fans that I became an even bigger fan of his. God bless you, Rob Schneider. Keep up the good fight!

    Elle has been promoted and celebrated by her father and she has enjoyed countless opportunities because of his success and connections. Yet Elle chose to embarrass herself (and Dolly Parton) with her drunk performance at the Grand Ole Opry for Dolly’s 78th birthday! Then to dismiss responsibility for her actions Elle chose to cast all credit for her behavior onto her dad being less than her ideal father figure. As tragic as it may be for her to be the only person alive with less than perfect parents, she’d do well to recall that her dad didn’t embarrass her publicly. As an adult she has no one to blame but herself for her choices. Put down the bottle and accept responsibility for yourself. I look forward to seeing her clean and honestly apologizing to her dad.

  • @sonofhibbs4425
    @sonofhibbs4425 26 дней назад +2

    I can’t sympathize with her too much. Being sent to ‘fat camp’ doesn’t sound cruel or ‘toxic’. Some kids probably would have been so thankful if their parent allowed them to go or been on a movie set. She sure is enjoying now what her father worked for. Every teen thinks their parent is being a bad one because their expectations for their parent are as high as god level. But no adult is perfect…Then I hear her say you can want someone to change so much and you can’t control someone else’s actions and I’m thinking a parent probably feels the same way, especially about all those tattoos. Wait until she becomes a parent! She will be apologizing to her dad. Rob handled these accusations with humility and decency.

    He was the adult and if you are worthy of being called an adult, you have to take the feedback from your children about your parenting.
    What was odd was tucker's follow up question.. asking him HOW can he hear that from his daughter and NOT retaliate-?

    Because that is your child, you should never feel in competition with your child or be hostile towards them, especially when they are just pointing out how you made them feel when they were defenseless children.

    Even though parents aren't perfect nobody is sitting there telling you hey this is how you parent everybody makes mistakes but sooner or later some people need to come to realize if it was for any of our parents who fell in love , made love , and created us offspring we wouldn't be here but we are in existence because of our parents therefore I think some people need to learn to have a lot more respect and love for their parents and be darn thankful they gave you a life also be grateful they gave you a life without parents you wouldn't exist so did this story bother me just a little bit yes indeed it did because it seemed like kinda self centered and a bit shellfish about what she said if anything she should apologize to her father also she needs to see you only get one set of parents and they won't be around forever one day they'll be gone just like my dad told me son I won't be around forever so what I'm saying it cherish your father cherish your mum spend every moment you can with regardless of differences etc because there will come a day where they are no longer on earth abd you will wish you could go back in time itself and seize that opportunity that you let pass you by and knowing its too late to get another opportunity so dont be bitter dont be sour love and cherish your parents before you end up living blaming yourself day in and day out .

    PODCASTS need to be stopped. People are using podcasts as an alternative to talking to real therapists and shrinks, it's degrading society as all it does is blow up finger-pointing to the Nth degree to lay bare their personal lives when all that should be discussed professionally and internally within families to be resolved.
    It's gotten outta hand. Really sad situation

    Doesn’t take anything personally. Which might be code for I’ll never acknowledge the things I’ve done that hurt you.
    Kids nowadays have zero concept of parents doing the best they can with what they know. No ability to separate the parent from the person.
    I was abused by my dad, my mom turned a blind eye and I continurmed the relationship after learning to make boundaries.
    My kids and I were abused by their father and they view me no better or different than him.
    They left and never talk to me or tell me what I did or how I hurt them.
    No communication, no healing and to survive I had to sever my emotional connection as their mother cuz it’s so emotionally painful I can’t function.
    Had to tell myself they are gone and never coming back and motherhood is forever gone out of my lif.
    I’ve never loved anyone like I love my kids and loved being their mother
