    I got g37s 13 & was getting locked out of gears when slowing down/changing gear, now car turns on fine but once I left off the clutch the car stalls out even if it’s neutral- only runs if clutch is held down - would this be a probable cause?
    Has zmak/stage2 clutch kit.

      You have a G37 transmission in an S13? Just wanting to make sure I understand what your saying. If you are getting locked out of gears it could be your syncros not lining up correctly but that would only be the case if you are getting locked out of one gear and not the other on the same hub selector, for example you get locked out of 5th but you can shift into 6th gear fine. However if you get locked out of both gears on the same hub selector, for example you can't shift into 3rd or 4th gear then it would be the shift fork. Although it sounds like your throw out bearing might just be going out since you mentioned the car stalls even in neutral and if the throw out bearing isn't engaging the clutch right, it could cause issues. Hope this helps!

      It’s a 2013 G37s coupe **
      - got cha, my tech at job is telling me is more likely to be a fork. but will get transmission yanked out in a few weeks & pray is just a throw out. I appreciate the info!!

    Sweet video, would it be possible to change the input shaft bearing without splitting the case? Haven’t found much info but that’s about all I need to do 😢

    • @AustinKamuela
      @AustinKamuela  Год назад +1

      Thanks man! I personally don't think so but it might be possible. Its definitely worth a try, however removing the bolts holding the front case to the rear shifter housing, although tedious, will be the best and least problematic method of getting the job done

      @@Kev1m Considering we are talking about an input shaft, I feel my input was only necessary 🤙🏽

      Had to take the case apart, I cut the bearing since everything was fine and I hammered the new one in. No I didn’t damage anything, everything is nice and tight now just need to reassemble the case and reinstall the tranny👍🏼
