I don't agree on hold up better in time lol. Porche's are reliable. For a German brand... Compare it to the average American and Japanese cars and they're still unreliable and expensive to maintain. Porshe's require up to $20,000 worth of maintenance in the first 10 years of ownership. An LT based Corvette would stand the test of time way better than the Porsche, ESPECIALLY the engine. Relative to the comparison. Doesn't look nearly as fast as the Vette.

Corvette for sure. Would love a C8 but will have to settle for my C4 convertible for now.
Haha, yeah… C8 would be nice but I’d be lucky to have an old C4 given my current savings 😭
The golf club claim for the Boxster is incorrect. If you dip the top of the bag into the left side towards the back as far as it can go - there's a little more room closest to the lights, you can angle in a bag.

@@FFE-js2zp Almost all porsches are faster than any american muscle car.

@@ksp3324
American muscle is slow, but at least cheap. Almost all Porsches are slow AF dogs in the wild, because Porsche chases a customer rip off strategy of adding two $50 turbos and upcharging +$100K for HP that happens 3 seconds from now. Turbos can improve anticipated acceleration like 0-60, but provide little value from an arbitrary roll. My SC F-Type (ok, its got a very casual 700HP tune) utterly eviscerates 911 Turbo Ss. 300 ft lb base 911s are in Civic R territory and not worth discussing. Just awful values.
The Porsche 911 also leads all luxury brands in reported repair costs, doubling 2nd place trainwreck BMW. The 718 is #3 on the list. So Porsche builds horrendous junk.
This is a great comparison! My pick would be the Boxster GTS 4.0 but change it to Python Green.

Porsche has nearly perfected the mid engine sports car. GM is doing well for there first. I will love to pick up a C8 in the near future.
Porsche haven't and this is GM's second attempt at a midengine sportscar, not counting prototypes. Both good entries though.
@@perkristoffersson4153 depends if you consider the 918 in mid engine discussion. Id say that they basically perfected that.
@@sutherlacd27 I just consider the midengine sportscar concept to have been perfected long before Porsche's modern mid-engined cars. The Lotus Esprit comes to mind but also several Ferraris and the McLaren F1. That's not to say the Porsches aren't great sportscars though.
@@perkristoffersson4153 fair enough. I agree that Ferrari has been nailing it for years now. Personally I think Ferrari makes the most enjoyable driving cars.

Turbo S; it is truly the best driver’s daily car. I am on a list to get the C8 ZO6 in some time near 2025. I am keeping my 2013 60th anniversary Corvette 427. It is a definite keeper. NA 7.0 Liter convertible manual 6 speed. Most components of the car are a mix of the ZR1 & ZO6. It only weighs 3260 pounds. My Porsche weighs 3570 & the new 2023 Corvette ZO6 weighs 3725 pounds. You feel the car (C8) is "jerky" because you have it in Track mode, which has more aggressive shifts. Put the car in Tour, and the shifts are as smooth as butter. My C8 is normally in Track mode (because I love those shifts and downshifts when I get to a light), but on the highway, Tour mode is the better option.
