keep coming back for the honesty and the jokes, great video as always
I’ll keep throwing the jokes in. Tried to keep it mostly about gear haha this time…
Boomer! I don't subscribe to very many RUclips channels, but once I came upon yours and saw your honest reviews ( non influenced...lol ) I immediately subscribed. Also helps you're a Canadian like myself...eh! Keep up the great work . Looking forward to your upcoming reviews. I hope you get lots of new subscribers this year. You deserve it!!! 😀
Hey thanks a lot. Means a lot when I get comments like this. And us Canadians gotta stick together out there lol. Thanks for subbing !
Really looking forward to your upcoming reviews. Especially the Warrior Skates.
I always thought that Warrior would buy Graf and out the W where the G is and then go crazy with specs and design.
I don’t know what to expect from warrior on skates should be super interesting!
Love the channel! Keep it up and don’t sell out to manufacturers. We need good and honest reviews.
Never sell out don’t worry about that!
The level of dedication is admirable! Trying out new skates (2 pairs even!) for a review is serious business. I don't change my skates until they're falling apart, lol.
All for the love of gear, beer league and everyone supporting me. Appreciate the comment
I love seeing the goalies smash their sticks on the ice after you rip one past them! As a fellow shooter, this is one of my favourite goalie reactions. Sorry goalies, still luv ya. Another great vid Boomer!!
Thanks Ryan, sucks we couldn’t play together after a stupid ejection yesterday. Was good seeing you
Just sharpened my new CCM JTF6 pros 9.5 wide with 1/2 fire grinder on my Sparx. My extra Marsblade i2s with DLC will be arriving next week to replace the stock holder and blade on the JTF6 pros. Been using Marsblade i2s DLC 280 mm with Supreme skates for a year, 20 ft rocker slat.
Dang you got some gear personal sharpener that’s dope. That’s quite a set up on the jetspeeds too.
The LX2 Pro should be the first of the sticks you mention to release IIRC. Btw the LX Pros are on sale at The Hockey Shop for $300 now. Also the LX2 Pro will have a 60-day warranty, so you'll probably like that.
I hope to buy some FT4 gear on sale when the FT6 stuff comes out.
60 days? Really. That would be impressive. Ft4 is legit gear I miss mine!
Curious if you have any front runners for gear purchased since releasing this video? Definitely pumped for the LX pro 2 and the ft6 pro protective. I too went back to hyperlite skates from the Mach as they just feel lighter and more agile to me. I enjoy these videos and am looking forward to the new reviews down the road. Cheers
Right now I have filmed and started ft6 pro stick, protective, lx2 pro stick, hyperlite 2 skate, all will release in august. I also went back to hyperlite skates from Mach for same reason you mentioned. The Mach feels like a traditional skate and the hyperlite just feels more like a skate designed for todays game. Appreciate the comment and support
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews thanks for the reply and looking forward to the new vids!
@@MatthewPlayz999 no prob :)
Great content Boomer! I really enjoyed using the lx pro. Hope lx2 is coming out soon. Also loved True A6.0 few years back.
Lx2 should be soon. Thanks for your support.
I’m considering the new CCM 720 helmet and always looking for that next great stick.
Nice thanks for the comment!
the one thing i want with new sticks is durability. I don’t really care how they shoot because i believe that if you can shoot, you can shoot with anything. also one other this i miss from older models was the symmetrical graphics. idk what it is maybe my ocd but i always found the symmetrical graphics to fit the sticks more achieving the style and the subtleness that it also brought
As I discussed in my top and sticky durability video that I just recently released, generally speaking, the top and sticks are not going to be durable. I’m just hoping they’re a little bit more durable as his generation progresses, because some of the original sticks when they started to really push performance like the FT3 line would break very very quickly to fast for $350 stick
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews 100%. that is why i gave up on finding sticks now. I currently have a rotation of 3 Nathan Mackinnon pro stock sticks that i have had for 3 years and i absolutely love them. they have taken an absolute beating but they are still in peak condition
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews Can confirm, the CCM Jetspeed FT6 Pro (I know .. but I get them early!) doesn't survive a decent slash on a faceoff! Fsck()'ing Finns at CARHA! Doh!
@@bleve97 not good!
@@jesseclayton11 where you getting them?
I have the ft6 shoulder pads, they are excellent and fit well, especially if you are a muscular guy. I am 6’1” 220lbs and I have tons of movement and have great protection for someone who likes to play more contact- without making you feel / look like a turtle .
Yeah I have the full set of ft6 protective. That review drops next week
just ordered ft6 pro pants and shin pad, can't wait to be disappointed🤣
It looks pretty solid I think you will be happy. I’m grabbing stick today
I have the connect on some LX2 pro sticks and LX2 pro pro stock sticks atm. Curves, sizes, and availability in quantity atm are very limited. The only thing I don’t know about them is if they’re the final version after testing before the official release, and can’t even get the info for when that official release date is. I’ve heard July 28th, but not sure if that’s set in stone.
I’ll be checking the stores this weekend since my store usually has stuff aarly
Im getting all the ft6 protective and excited for the hype2lite skates and warrior skates
Ft6 protective I’m pretty stoked for too!
Hey man, had to use search your latest video - I didnt get it in my subscribed channels feed. Just letting you know. Waiting for those reviews my man.
Weird, appreciate that I will see if I made a mistake in the back end.
have you heard anything about True coming back with protective gear maybe this year? Local hockey shop guy (who sells True everything) says this is coming and should be better than most stuff out there. Not sure what youve heard, I cant find any info on this so far other than talking at the LHS. Thanks
Nothing on my end
Big hopes for your reviews this year) broke my agent last week, so I’m curious about new H2L and new trigger, also want to switch for new skates, but I’m pretty sure it will be H2L! Thanks for your job!
I like the H2L abbreviation easy way to say it lol I’m hoping the stick has better durability the weight is really lite though so probably a nice stick but could be brittle we shall see
Just got off the phone with MonkeySports in Sweden and it looks like I'm going for FT6 Pro custom skate fitting next week and will be picking up at least a pair of FT6 Pro pants and likely also shinguards, as the BAUER ultrasonics are starting to fall apart. Apparently they'll have the FT6 Pro sticks in store as well, so we'll see what happens :)
Oh snap. Yeah ft6 stuff drops this Friday at my local store I’ll be grabbing all of it.
My protective : lower half is bauer vapor (pants, shins), upper is FT4 pro(elbow, shoulder). That said i need a new helmet and will be curious to see who is lighter in the new bauer/ccm line, especially cages (return of titanium?). Besides that, looking forward to all the reviews!
I also need a new helmet I’ll probably grab something that’s new release soon
Warrior skates I’m hyped for
Stoked to see what they do
And look like.
When is the FT6 protection review coming out??
Probably 2-3 weeks.
Hi Justin 👋 nice video I need new elbows , 🤔 I will look at jetspeed exiting the battle Bauer and ccm , I love my hyperlites still rocking the agent but got stress cracks in the shaft ,don’t know why but I love the areo sense blade nice crack to it I will stop going on
Waiting for the next video looking forward to the skate review
Bye RUDDSY
Hey Ruddsy! Nice to hear from ya. I have the FT4pro elbows and like em. Elbows must be the one peice of gear that is just always meh lol. I’m stoked for the ft6 elbows hoping those are a bit more comfortable. Appreciate your support as always
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews I will wait for your review I’m very interested in the skate review ,keep ‘‘em coming big boomer
RUDDSY
Will do my friend!
I'm looking to buy new skates. Excited for Hyp2rlite but will look at all other new skates before buying. Also looking at getting FT6 pro stick.
What are you rocking now?
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews
Bauer Ag5nt still going strong 💪 and just very cheap CCM skates that are actually too big. Can't wait to get a solid pair of skates that actually fit. Will be doing the foot scanning thing to make sure I don't make any mistakes.
@@cameronlesueur6226 oh wow yes that will be a huge upgrade for you. Get on those skates!
Did you ever get your custom prostockhockey sticks 2.0 build? If so, any review yet?
I have a number of them, however they all were a bit off from the factory. I’m working on it slowly. A friend did a team order with gepetto but he wasn’t happy with some of the weights so we did new ones, just need to pick them up.
@Beer League Bum hockey reviews gotcha, I have one supposedly 375gram redline with a wild curve, although I couldn't use it as a primary, but it feels great in the hands and has lots of pop.
Also, I ordered my trusty P88 in a low kick 80 flex and in a 350 gram. It should be here in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait.
What was off about them would you say?
@@nameandaddress just the weights. Gepetteo knows I’m hard on sticks for reviews so he didn’t want me trashing the weight of the 350 etc when it was measuring 380.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews fingers crossed mine comes in at 350grams or close
Yeah when we were chatting through my buddy purchasing he said he was working with the factory to improve consistency
Most excited about the new Warrior skates. Wondering if we will see any NHL prototypes popping up here soon of them 🤔. Personally I need a new pair of shinners. So I’m looking forward to the FT6 pro & Mach protective line coming soon
The warrior skates are super interesting, can only imagine what they are gonna come up with.
I'm still on the fence about getting ASv/as590. I wear a 7 EE now and the new CCM wide width might be the only skates to actually fit in the forefoot. After your video, I picked up a pair of the warrior pro elbows, they're amazing.
What skates you rocking now?
@B Fish- actually I just came back to hockey after 17 years and was replacing my old CCM Super Tacks. I was super excited about the Fit 3 options out now!! I was set on getting the AS-V or as590s as well, but the forefoot/toe box was actually tight for me in both!!! I was just gonna deal with it and go with the AS-V when they had me try on a pair of Bauer Supreme M5 Pro's!!! WOW!!! What a difference!!!! There is so much more room!!!! They are so comfortable!! I am SO glad I tried them out! Plus, they took no time to break in! I highly recommend checking them out if you can if you need a wide toe box.
@@juliegatesman9501I got the ASV pro skates and love them, doesn’t feel like I got anything on and getting shot you don’t feel much.
What do you think of the hockey stick man, sticks?
Black out? any stick that is that style, swift, black out, twig etc are going to be acceptable stick for anyone in that budget, but anyone who claims or
Pretends they are equal in pefromance, feel and kick of the big ones is incorrect. As long as you know that going in and accept it for what it is it’s fine.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews so okay for beer league recreational game then?
@@jpkeoni9862 yep. Works perfect for that and on a budget
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews thanks man you are the best!
@@jpkeoni9862 no prob!
Best stick for wrist and snap shots ....and which flex ??
Flex is subjective, watch my flex video to help choose that. Watch my kick point video to help choose your stick.
From your experience and testing which is your opinion ?
There is way to many factors. Weight, durability, puck feel, length, price. The trigger, agent, Rekker, jetspeed, tMP are all solid sticks in that area you mentioned.
i was at THS in Langley to grab skates the other day and the guy helping me informed me that Bauer has given them the green light to sell the hyperlite 2 skates this month - hopefully its true haha
It’s true, I’ll have them in a week. I was shown all the inventory. :)
I live in the USA (New Jersey) and there is a store that has FT6 pro protective. I'm probably going to replace my elbows and gloves with that
I’ve heard it’s around which is crazy. Guess the supply chain issues are over
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews Yeah ikr lmfao I tried on the FT6 elbows and coming from the bulky AS580 which is a little overkill for my style of play since I like to be a bit more mobile were quite comfortable. As for the gloves, they felt comfortable but I'm not sure how I feel about that palm that is a bit strange. You still using your Ultrasonic gloves?
@@paulielamothe4134 still in ultrasonic waiting for the Mach. I’ll try the ft6 but I’ve never really been a fan of ccm gloves I find they never feel broken in.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews Yeah I have a pair of FT4 and they're ok. They're comfortable I really like the liner and the cuff as I like an open cuff just not a fan of the palm. I tend to avoid bauer gloves strictly because since I use a 12" glove, brands like CCM, Warrior, and True they're in a junior. Whereas Bauer they have them in an intermediate and they're roughly the same price as senior gloves. I don't particularly want to spend like $200 on gloves where other brands are $150.
Oh I feel you gloves are the one I feel are over priced
i love the As6 pro, it comes out in November btw🙌
So far and we already got the stick floating around it’s crazy
For the novium how do you think it compares to a supreme stick? The ultrasonic has been my all time favorite stick and I’m on my last one
The novium is a better stick than a surpreme in my opinoon
Just to give you an idea I use a PM9/p28 (yes you read that right) and take primarily wristshots from just about anywhere.
Pm9?! That’s huge difference for p28. Crazy. The novium is a very stiff stick though and down a flex is ideal.
Thanks for the opinion. I have the option of either a Novium SP (team) and a Nexus team (basically E3) and I think for me I’ll go with the novium
@@lukewatkins9125 my gripe with the nexus line is the shaft. You either love or hate it. The stick is nice load and feels great but I can’t deal with the shaft.
Agent R hopefully will not be 5-sided.
It won’t be
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews fuckin' love it
@@triznasty2844 there’s prototypes out there but rumour has it those are not final.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews I miss my 2N Pro style normal shaft dimension nexus sticks so much. best sticks ever.
Highlight videos and equipment reviews
Why not right 🤷
ramonedge runners, the best upgrade you can possibly make, better than step steel
Haven’t heard of it, I’ll check it out
Do a stick curve video
What context? The retail options are boring these days unfortunately and p88 is basically dying so it’s a light market. Customs would be more fun for sure
Where do you get evidence of bauer making a mid kick agent
I know people. :)
I'll get the new warrior alpha lx2, ccm jetspeed ft6

Can you do a 3 or so month durability review on the hyperlite 2 stick please.
If it lasts! For sure.
@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews thank you, I wonder if it will be a good upgrade over the sync, but I dont know if ill like the regular 4 sides anymore lol

@@beerleaguebumhockeyreviews I can understand that it is a little uncomfortable
@@connorisgrab4386 I feel like they could have kept it a bit less noticeable since if you hate it or love it splits the customer base pretty quick.
seems the influencers must have complained enough to give em a break lol
I heard a few comments through the grapevine but I think they like to pretend to ignore me :)
Boomer have you got the hyperlite2 skates yet?
Maybe I have maybe I haven’t ;)
I’ve got a hzrdus 7x and love it. Trues tend to have questionable durability, but not a whole lot worse than CCM
The like the 7x is apart of does have some durability issues. Unsure how deep it goes into each stick tier though. The px and 9x were pretty brittle
