- RETURN TO NEVER LAND MOVIE REACTION! Today I'll be watching a film I have never seen before Return to Never Land released in 2002 for the first time. Here's my Return to Never Land Peter Pan sequel reaction. Want to watch the ENTIRE Movie with me? Check out: / timotheereacts
Wendy is all grown up, with children of her own, and as the blitzkrieg rages, she calms them with tales of Peter Pan. Wendy's stubborn 12-year-old daughter, Jane, has no patience for such nonsense until Capt. Hook uses the girl as a pawn in capturing his arch-rival. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys come to her aid; however, even they cannot make Jane a believer in the magic of imagination. Unless she believes, she cannot fly, and there is no other way for her to return home.

Return To Nederland; 1 of the few straight-to-video sequels Disney did in the late 1990s & early 2000s that wasn't terrible.
I think the next movie that you should do is Christopher Robin as well Mostly just because of how cool that movie would be plus I know you haven’t done that move either 😊
So many people hate this movie and I have no idea why. It’s very good. Especially when Peter sees Wendy again at the end😭❤️
Same I love this movie
Same here
why ppl hating it tho?
@@CottageDreams23 mostly because they ship peter and wendy and not only does this movie show that wendy got married and had kids, it also seems to imply peter and jane like each other.
I love this movie! First movie i felt in love with the song!
In Shrek 3, Hook also mistook a random boy for Peter and thought his mother was Wendy. I always thought it was a jab at how Hook mistook Jane for Wendy.
In the book, it was Peter who mistook Jane for Wendy since Hook was dead
For a Disney sequel, Return to Neverland isn’t so bad imo. It has the same charm as the first film with less controversial elements and is overall a fun watch, the way I see it.
It is also loosely based on J.M. Barrie's mini-play which Barrie wrote as a sequel to Peter and Wendy and where Peter accidentally kidnaps Jane when he thinks she is her mother Wendy. The difference is, however, that unlike Barrie's sequel, in this Disney version, Hooka and Tinkerbell are still alive. But Disney's version is still better than Barrie's own sequel, even though the first film is nowhere near as good as Barrie's original stage play and its novelization. The sad thing about this Return to Newerland movie is that they cut out Hook's villain song which would have been a real banger and an ear worm.
@@danielmalinen6337 oh, yeah. I think I know the song you’re talking about.
I enjoy the movie because they touch on other elements in the actual Peter Pan Story. For example, with Tinkerbell's death, Peter Pan explains to Wendy in the book that when a child says that they don't believe in fairies, "there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead." Also, it was set around 30 years after the first movie. If it was 50, Wendy would be much, much older.
In all fairness, I do enjoy your videos. They're amazing! If you're taking suggestions, can you please react to The Adventures of Tintin?
I really wish he'd stop saying that the movie takes place 50 years after Peter Pan.
Peter Pan took place in 1904, and Return to Neverland takes place during World War II. That's a 35-41 year difference.
1940. 36 years. Blitz, evac, battle of Britain
Imagine if they make a third movie (they never will) with Jane's daughter Margaret as the protagonist.
You know it’s funny they mention Blackbeard in this movie because in the book the first movie was based on it reveals that Captain Hook works for Blackbeard and it’s just Captain of one of many Blackbeard‘s ships
This is one of the few direct-to-video Disney sequels that are somewhat good. That reunion of Wendy and Peter was nostalgic, although we didn't see their older brothers and also that the movie I had a game where you were on captain hook's ship and you had to find the treasure and rescue Jane it was entertaining
What's that game ?
@@a.g.demada5263 One that came included with the DVD of the film
@@proyectocinema212 ah ok. In France, where I live, at the end of my VHS there was a clip of the french interpretation of " I'll try ".
Guess what ? The woman who sings it was the solist of the movie and the french voice of Melody in " The little mermaid II "
Unfortunately, that poor girl left this world last July at only 38 years old.
RIP Nathalie Fauran 😥
PLEASE REACT TO THE TINKERBELL MOVIES! 🙂❤
1. Tinkerbell (2008)
2. Tinkerbell and the lost treasure
3. Tinkerbell and the great fairy rescue
4. Tinkerbell and the secret of the wings
5. Tinkerbell and the pirate fairy
Don’t forget tinkerbell and the legend of the neverbeast
Another of my favourite Disney movies, but my favourite Peter Pan movie is easily 2003 💜
I had a film i wanted to recommend. it's not Disney but it is a beautiful animation film. It's called The Last Unicorn. it's one of those films after watching it will remain with you forever. it had a cult following for a long time and i heard a live action has been thought about but uncertain at the moment.
It was one of my favorite sequels as a kid. In fact, I liked the idea of Peter being with Jane than with Wendy 😂
i mean... they did kind of seem to be going in that direction, with peter being pretty interested in and considerate with jane when he was dismissive at best before and jane's teasing and her shy smile close to the end. i always thought they made so much sense. they just match so well.
also, their flights together are just adorable.
20:23 😂😂😂😂
I remember showing to kids I babysitted, the moment where Hook shows a picture of his mom.
They should make a crossover of PB&J otter and Peter Pan
I was wandering, what happened with John and Michael? Did they fought on the war or what?
This is what Peter Pan and Wendy should have been
Love this movie
He dies in the movie Hook.
Thank you Timothee great reaction excellent. I hope you will reacts more classic movies for example: Chariots of Fire (1981) White Nights (1985) Casualties of War (1989) Innerspace (1987) Saturday Night Fever (1977) Driving Miss Daisy (1989) Out of Africa (1985) The Party (1968) and My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988) all highly recommended for you bro👍👍👍
don't worry you aren't the only who thinks it's cruel, i honestly felt sad for hook as he's my favourite character
Movies coming out April 28th Friday
Very good bro try to add more movies to watch OK and by the way how was it?
What if it was a shock
It's very heartwarming that Wendy got a chance to see Peter pan and Tinkerbell again.
Overall, this movie is pretty good. The wartime opening was really impactful, Hook and Tinkerbell are still endless sources of entertainment, and Jane has a great arc of learning to use her imagination and be a kid again.
Peter and Wendy's reunion at the end always fills me with nostalgia. ✨
The messed up thing is, yes, they did have to send their kids away during the war. Some parents never saw their children again, while some children didn't have parents to come home to. It was horrible.
On a lighter note, the animation in this is absolutely amazing and actually had a larger budget than most of the Disney animated sequels at the time. It was even released in theaters. They also did a great job getting actors who sounded like the original Hook, Smee and Peter.
Kids being sent away from London during World War II is also a plot point in Disney's *Bedknobs and Broomsticks* (1971).
Obviously nothing beats the crocodile but I found the octopus going after hook hilarious 😂
I agree with you.
Me too.
I do love the octopus. So much better than the crocodile
I always thought it was funny the way the octopus pops his suction cups Pop pop pop pop Pop pop pop pop
I really admire the sequel because I remember watching it more than the first one growing up and I really liked Jane because I always felt she was a strong independent child but I guess she had to be considering the time she was living in but I’m glad she got more character development through out the movie like she learned from Peter like how to have fun and be a kid basically. I also love Peter and Tinkerbell got to see Wendy again such cute reunion ❤️❤️❤️ and Jane’s Father gets back from the war a great ending 😊😊😊thanks for taking me back through memory lane Tim and can’t wait for the next video 😄😉😁😁
I like how Peter looks the family's reunion. We can see affection on his face
@Riley Garraway yes and that's good for him
Peter and Wendy’s reunion was the best part of this movie for me, especially with how well the film handles the dialogue. It’s not over dramatic, and so many things are said with very limited words. All the words that needed to be said were nailed!!
I always felt like Peter was in love with Wendy (or had some form of affection for her, cause he might not understand the concept of love), but was too childish to pursue and enjoyed causing trouble and being a kid more than anything else.
When he sees Wendy as an adult, he realizes that any chance he had with her is gone forever and on top of that he believes she is no longer that girl he knew years ago. “You’ve changed.” wasn’t about her physical appearance, but more of “you’re no longer the Wendy I knew.” But Wendy insists she still has those parts of her left in her.
That moment she has with Tinkerbell, I think was meant to make Peter more accepting of how things turned out. He handled it more maturely than you’d expect from him, but I think because he sees she will always believe in and care about him and still has the spirit he grew fond of (and most likely fell in love with) he’s willing to have this moment end where they’re still on good terms
I honestly found this movie better than the original it’s so much charm and it’s a fun time that scene where hook kidnaps Jane was stuck in my brain for years and the animation was very impressive
In that final scene with Peter and Wendy; it's Tinkerbell who turns back to Peter and smiles, making the suggestion that they let Wendy fly for a moment - Tinkerbell has gotten over her jealousy of Wendy.
I loved this movie when I was little, but I didn't even see the first one. Seeing it now, I have a completely different perspective, now understanding everything about war and stuff. Also, the whole "not harming a hair on Peter Pan's head" is one of the smartest and most realistic thing from any Disney movie.
Return To Nederland; 1 of the few straight-to-video sequels Disney did in the late 1990s & early 2000s that wasn't terrible.
Though it had been planned as a direct-to-video production, *Return to Neverland* actually got a theatrical release.
Yay it’s here! I think this is a sweet sequel. I think Jane is a lovely character and I love the whole concept of her growing up during war times, but then learns to enjoy her childhood and just have fun sometimes.
And I like the “I’ll try” song a lot ❤
Now we just need you to watch Brother Bear and Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron;)
Even the now grown- up Wendy was still able to see peter and tink. There's a child in everyone. 😄
YESS Im so happy this is finally here, this was my favourite peter pan film, i never understood why people hated this film in comparison to the classic original. I just fin this so much more interesting and fun this film.
Also yes children getting sent off to the countrsyide by trains really did happen back in 1945 WW2
1940. Blitz and evac. Jane would be in guides or wrac cadets?
Anyone else noticed how Wendy in the original movie acts like a grown up as a child and in this movie she is a bit like a child but an adult
Yes, that's right
Victorian/Edwardian ideas about how girls were to act. Cf the crown of all things
Oh, this… this is a childhood favorite of mine.
9:25: The effect emulates an old kaleidoscope. It's a toy where some coloured glitter is in a tube between two mirrors at an angle, and when you watch through the tube it forms a lot of symmetrical patterns that change as you shake it. Those computer music players were clearly inspired by the same toy.
Might have been 50 years between movies being made but doesn't mean it's been 50 years in the story. Look at Wendy's age she may be a mother now but not that old
Well, Wendy is 12 in the first movie so I guess here she's in her 40's or 50's
First Peter Pan take place in 1904 and it is believed that Wendy was 12-13 years old than, so if Return to Neverland take place from when London was attacked by German Air force in 1940 than Wendy should be 48-49 years old.
@@DragonSkyNija that's what I said
@@a.g.demada5263 Well saying/writing that some one age is in their 40's or 50's could put them in all between from 40 to 59. All I did was to find out what the year the movie could take place in and what was Wendy's age when she first met Peter, and the official story put her age at between 12-13 years old, so I used that information to kinda get her exact age in Return to Neverland.
This was generally a good sequel, I watched this first before the original one. Before this, Hook was my first exposure to the Peter Pan story and of course the 2003 live action remake which is spectacular. The music here is good, Jane's arc is also an interesting one. The scene at the end where Peter meets a grown up Wendy is also subtly beautiful.
You know, in the french version, when Peter says to Wendy she changed, she answers " Not completly. Not in my heart. "
Fun fact: The development of Daniel (they took that idea from Micheal). So basically they took Michael’s appearance and replicated it from Danny
Recycle ♻️
This is one of my my favorite Disney sequels (the other one is little mermaid returns to the sea) and I loved your reaction, Tim!! Even as a child, it felt like similar to Disney Narnia, even a bit to the BCC version of Narnia, a little bit at the beginning.
Hope you have a great day/night, Tim!
Kathryn Beaumont should've been the voice of Wendy. After all she was still alive during the making of this (and is alive now and Disney has deemed her a Disney legend but Disney only uses their legends when they can be useful otherwise ignore them).
Between this movie; Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, all tell of when England sent their children away. Many went to relatives (like in L,W, & W); where others went out into the countryside, to small towns who have people who could take them in (such as B&B). It was a dark time in England's history; when the Germans' bombed London back in WWII
18:00 - 18:06 I love this reaction in this scene of movie 😂😂😂😂😂
I was watching Nickflix on his channel with this movie. I hate to say this but I feel like some of the classics they ruin with some of the sequels like The Little Mermaid. I used to love that one as a kid but now I think it’s just trash.i I used to love the Sequel to the Little Mermaid but it’s awful now😂😂😂😂
It's always a treat when you and Nickflix upload reactions to the same movie so close to eachother lol! This was a childhood favorite of mine. Even though it's a sequel, it's a very good sequel imo. My favorite part is when they're getting to neverland and we get that trippy sequence with all the imagery from the first movie. As a kid I had no idea what was happening in that scene (I still don't tbh) but I thought the second star exploded or something haha.
Didn’t know nick was doin it
30:21, this part is a reference to the book Peter Pan and Wendy (based on the original play and written by the same author) in which Peter returns for Wendy to take her back to Neverland only to discover that she’s grown up and instead takes her daughter Jane who later returns to the normal world grows up and has her own daughter who is visited by Peter Pan and taken to Neverland at some point with J.M. Barrie (the author) saying that that pattern would continue as long as children remained young, innocent and care free.
Thank you for this Timothee! This brought back wonderful memories of seeing this in theaters. Funny enough I had visited the aquarium early that day before I went to see this movie and got a toy octopus. I really love how in the first film we learned that eventually we have to grow up. While in this film we learned that you should never grow up too quickly; you should enjoy your childhood because it doesn’t last very long. I can’t wait for the new Peter Pan remake.
🧑🏻🦰👩🏼🧚🏴☠️⚔️🐙
💚💛💜❤️🧡
I really love that Octopus everytime he sees Hook he's seeing a big fish and when he starts playing with his tentacles it makes me laugh😂😂😂please react to Epic it's a dreamworks animation movie and Beyonce voiced the Queen character in this❤❤
Naturally. Hook's a codfish.
24:54-25:04 it reminds me of pikachu crying 😭 for ash turning to stone until he revived in Pokémon the first movie. 26:13 😂 27:16 I win! 30:16 Wendy believes Peter Pan.
I really enjoyed this film one of the better sequences that was made. And the song I’ll try beats all / any songs In the first one
I agree.
For me, who's french, there's something else precious with that song because the lady who sings her was the solist of the movie and the french voice of Melody in " The little mermaid II " . Unfortunately, she died last July at 38 years old
I actually liked this sequel more than the original movie. The reunion scene is the cutest! ❤️
You should react to The Hunchback Of Notre Dame 2. That sequel is quite a tear-jerker! Sure the animation isn’t good, but the plot is great, and almost everyone from the original cast returned.!
Please react to Matilda the musical at some point, it's amazing, I watched the film in cinemas back in january and it was breathtaking all the songs, the story and especially emma thompson
Honestly the stigma of the Disney DirecTV sequence has been unneeded some more turbo there's no doubt about it Hunchback 2 Pocahontas 2 Cinderella 2 but there were some movies that were good sequels like Lion King 2 this one and even The Little Mermaid 2 it's all in perspective and how it respects and honors and continues the story my personal favorite is Lion King 3 and this one which to me has much more emotion and character developments than the original didn't had
fun facts about the latin spanish dub: jane's voice actress voiced wendy in the 2003 peter pan movie. jane and peter's voice actors were in a lot of projects together, including sky high, where they play leyla and will. they were also pretty close to their characters' ages. peter's actor and young wendy's actress are married in real life. peter's actor was the official voice of peter up until a couple of years ago (he actually played him once again in once upon a studio) and one of his most recent roles is vecna in stranger things (the range 💀). and one fact about the brazilian dub, the original brazilian peter returns as the narrator in this movie, which almost makes it sound like an old peter telling this story to his grandchildren.
I'm so fast! I haven't watched this but i did watch "Hook" played by David Williams
I much prefer this sequel than its original, the characters are less sociopathic. Another sequel that's better than the original is Cinderella 3(Cinderella 2 is one of those failed TV series repackaged into a movie, but the last segment is quite good).
And everytime I think of Tinker Bell & Peter as a couple that image of a hamster eating a banana came to mind. 😅
P. S. Peter isn't a child, he's clearly 14/15. And society is a lot more tolerant to the sexualization of boys than girls. That's why the movie That's My Boy is a comedy rather than a drama(hell, Big & Blank Check has a male child-adult woman pairings & I mean CHILD). 😬 Even IRL people, especially women can openly express lust at underage but pubescent boys in social media without much fuss. 🤷🏻♂️
I love this sequel. Joel McNeely is back for an amazing score and the songs are gorgeous. I love the war backdrop, and the whole ending with Jane inadvertently betraying Peter/Tinkerbell dying. I don't get why people don't like it.
For them who wonder why we don't see or hear about John or Michael in the Return to Neverland, there is two reason one is my head cannon than John was fighting in the war, but the second based of the official book sequal to Peter and Wendy called Peter Pan In Scarlet 2006 reveals that Michael died in World War I.
I hope you tinkerbell origin story
I ❤️ Peter Pan Movies and Tinkerbell animated movies, so beautyful(Disney Golden Era)
3:13 to answer your question, yes it did. In the beginning of World War 2, the Germans would bomb cities in England in a series of events called the blitz. Children would be sent to the country side since it was considered safer than the city. The first narnia movie shows this all in the opening
Day 40 of me requesting a reaction to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Tbh, they should have added a tribute to Bobby Driscoll. 💙💚✝️
While I don't disagree, one could view the whole film as a tribute to Bobby Driscoll, since Bobby was not only the voice actor but also the character model for Disney's Peter Pan in 1953, and the same character design is utilized here.
@@oliverbrownlow5615well he was not treated well and died because of it (drugs)
Yes! I've been waiting for this reaction since you did Peter Pan. I know you already did it on your Patreon, but I am a broke college student so.......yeah. Honestly, worth the wait though!
Which Captain Hook enemy is better Tim? The crocodile or the octopus
Please now you NEED to react to the 2003 live action version, it’s amazing and it always makes me cry
what you think Of Peter Pan Return To Never Land
Finally, there is sound on this video, because the first time you uploaded this video...
yup. got it fixed
Better than the live action remake.
Fun fact, but Return to Newerland is loosely based on J.M. Barrie's own mini-sequel he wrote for his stage play Peter and Wendy. The sad fact is that, for cost reasons, Disney cut several songs made for this film, one of which was Hook's villain song "I'll Give You One Guess" which would have played when Peter hung on the anchor.
Hey Guys plz React 16 movies of DC Animated Universe..😍

Could you imagine what it must have been like for those RAF/Luftwaffe pilots to see a pirate ship flying in the sky?
RAF Pilot: Cor bligh me, Timmons, have I been drinking or is that a flying pirate ship alongside us?
Luftwaffe Pilot: Mein Gott! Ich muss verruckt werden; aber ist das ein fliegendes piraten schiff?
I wonder what's so tasty about Captain Hook that makes the crocodile and the octopus pursue him. He probably taste like KFC
Obviously, he tastes like codfish.
Please check out the Tinkerbell movies, including The Pirate Fairy, it has Tom Hiddleston as a young Captain Hook.!
However everyone feels about this film, the ending was wholesome yet sad, eventually Wendy will pass while Peter stays young. Reminds a bit of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians.
the ending reunion scene with Peter and Wendy makes me cry every time I watch it especially with the music😭 it definitely hits harder watching it now as an adult than when I saw this as a young kid
I also cry when Tinkerbell dies - how can you not?
Everyone is saying how Peter is in love with Wendy. Yes. First love interest and all but clearly he is also in love with her daughter.
I would think Peter Pan in return to Neverland probably resolve live action sequel to Peter Pan and Wendy

Plus, I think you should also do chip and Dale rescue Rangers well the live action one it was supposed to be like the action movie
YES! The reaction is here again! 😊
yess enjoy!
Does anyone know what the name of the song is in the beginning?
28:45, in the original play, the Lost Boys left Neverland with Wendy and her brothers and were adopted by Wendy’s parents but Peter Pan was the only one who stayed in Neverland instead of going back to the normal world since he refused ever to grow up. (Which is a bad thing since it means he can never make a life with Wendy with whom he had fallen in love.)
Pls do the Peter Pan 2003 movie live action you are not gonna regret it ✌🏾🙏🏽🇵🇷😁
No that's his mom, s
He has a mother hook a great pirate.
