  • As a backend engineer, I'm working on some integration tests for a migration we did a few months ago. Here are some thoughts how to design and test your code and how to approach testing dependencies - especially when they change.
Were there any concepts in this video that you didn't understand or were confusing? Comment them down below and I'll do a reaction video going more in-depth into those concepts.

I am really happy that my questions were intersting. I am very pleased to have it in your video. I value your answers a lot and of course enjoyed all your aspects around that topic. I agree and thank you!
Your videos are really joyful, hopefully my comment gives some positive energy back. It is really funny how easily I can sync with you in tech-situations presented. I definitely did not regret subscribing to your channel.
I imagine going back to the office will be funny because all other people as well got used to not being phisically present.
    Yours truly,
    A Backend Engineer from Hungary

WOW! Im in Marketing and Ive worked alongside our Dev team to complete an API service migration over the last few months.. Now we are entering the end to end integration testing phase.. I appreciate your explanation, because I feel like I understand the Dev perspective now.
    Thanks!

Writing tests for an app that you intend to do maintenance and development is a must. I've seen front-end tests a few times and didn't think they were that accurate; I have to say, the frameworks for writing tests for the front end are really cool. You are great, as always.

We are using a local SQL Server database on each dev's computer. It has some of the data in staging, and when needed, other colleagues share their bacpac (for SSMS) to add more data to our local db's, if needed (mostly when there are a lot of new changes, like new tables or new columns (when visual studio schema compare can't easily do)).
