We are currently working hard on trying to stop the leash pulling on walks - I have been trying to continue to change directions or stop and have him sit when he pulls. Also, we are working on separation anxiety. He gets very anxious when he is left alone...even when we are in the house, but when we go around the corner or upstairs. We are working on increasing time/distance away (using a high reward food in a Kong or a beef soup bone to make him feel comforted when we walk out of the house), but it is still a very slow process. There's vibes of both that apply to humans. But, we have a different psychology.
      IMO, I think anyone who would apply dog training to people would engage in what's called "objectifying" others (in human psychology). Reducing others to objects for their own benefit. It's an inability to connect with other humans. Others aren't human. They're objects. It's a real thing with some personality disorders. To me, that's what such a person would sound like if they thought "oh, dog training works for dogs. Let's do it for people." (and yet, I still do see overlap. @@miltonfriedman7349 What part of that story sounds real to you (other than it accuses Junior, and he's a pit bull, and you oppose ownership of pit bulls, or their breeding, etc.). I've been watching the story since TMZ gossip-media "broke" the story late August. A number of things don't sound the way you'd expect them to sound if the things claimed in the lawsuit really happened.
      Even now: the latest activity of the lawsuit is a court "order to show cause re: dismissal." Anyone can search that term to see what it means. I gathered from my own searching that the case has been tentatively dismissed until the plaintiff appears in court to explain why it shouldn't be. This happens when plaintiff doesn't earnestly prosecute their claim, lets it linger, misses deadlines for filings and responses. That fits what I see in the court docket. The suit was filed Jan 2021. There was a lot of filing activity/motions, etc. until May 2021 -- which coincides with when mother of the plaintiff (whow as fired by Cesar in 2018) settled her lawsuit (which you'd think would be a wrongful termination suit if her daughter was mauled in 2017, instead of mere unpaid commissions from prior to the firing). Then it went inactive. The next thing that happened was mid August when the daugther demanded $850k "or I'll go the press (and TMZ gossip media broke the story a week or two later). And, after that, "order to show cause re: dismissal.).
      So, for the benefit of others: there's *a lot* (I didn't touch upon all above) that Milton's not telling as he gives the short TMZ "sensation" version, and speaks of it all as "fact" (as if it's proven to have happened, not just an odd allegation surrounded by some odd things, and some facts that should exist apparently don't).

    Love that little ring on your leash!!!! Can you do a video on getting a dog on a treadmill that doesn’t want to get on it. I’ve seen the videos where you lead dogs right on, but mine absolutely won’t do it and I can’t pick him up to put him on it.

    • @lindenpeters2601
      @lindenpeters2601 2 года назад +1

      I think you would start by just rewarding them for getting on, without turning it on. If they're really skittish about it, start by just rewarding a paw on the treadmill, and gently, gradually work up from there. Leave treats on the treadmill so they know it's a nice place to be. I trained my dog to hop into the bathtub for baths in a similar way.

    • @Imageyenation
      @Imageyenation 2 года назад

      @@lindenpeters2601 thanks. I have tried that, it worked for the tub but not the treadmill. I think he is afraid because in his mind the earth isn’t supposed to move. Not sure.

    I found out a long time ago about your energy with dogs. I had to house sit for 3 months for this couple that went out of country, and their Pomeranian Prince. And this dog did not like me at first. I had to earn his trust. And when I was mad, he ran and hid from me, but to get him to come out of hiding, I had to physically change my state of mind and my energy. By the end of the 3 months, we were best of friends. He would rather be with me than his owners, who he snapped at when they got back.

      Handling behavior issues or doing dog training are very different things. He always is positif and reward based when doing training, but the show on tv is about behavior issues.

    Cesar, lo estoy intentando con mi cachorra, y como dices ella al principio demostró que no le gustaba nada que le sujetara el hocico y yo creía que la estaba lastimando.
    Sin embargo, ahora estoy dándole un bocadillo antes de sujetarla para que se familiarize con esta nueva forma de caminar, pues en general, ella sale a caminar y a aspirar toda la calle!!! Así que con tus consejos, espero que ella despegue su nariz y ojos del suelo y disfrutemos la caminata
