Summer’s behind us, and we’re back with another Fallout: Miami development update. Hope you all enjoyed the environmental showcase we released recently.
Things have gotten pretty crazy this year, so we hope you and yours are doing as good as possible, all things considered.
Current events haven’t stopped us from working on Miami, and we’re stoked to show you a few of the things we’ve gotten done over the past months.

This is basically a new game itself, I can’t believe it will be a free mod!

This and Fallout 4 New Vegas are the only Fallout-related things I'm excited for right now.
What about Project Arroyo, Fallout 4: The Capital Wasteland, Fallout Cascadia, or Fallout: London?

Fallout 4 doesn't deserve it, but the framework in it is so far superior to the last batch (fo3/nv)

Sadly it will never come out. Every Fallout and Elder Scrolls game has huge projects like these that say they're coming out, and take years of development and they fall apart. The projects never ever come out.
@@Flipzy18 Well, that's why these people need our support. It keeps them going and motivated to actually finish their project. I actually think that this may very well be one of the few successful projects of this kind. We'll just have to wait and see what becomes of it.
I just love how the narrator broke character halfway through, really humanizes the developers

The Bay of Pigs history rewrite is a really excellent concept, and very necessary. Although I don't think they did it in power armor, especially T-60 sets. But maybe it's more of of a metaphorical depiction, or that Bay of Pigs shown was part of a campaign in 2070's to wipe out any Chinese influence that set up shop in nearby territories such as Alaska and Cuba. Personally, I've theorized that part of Fallout's changed history is that the Vietnam war was actually considered successful, thus rock-and-roll counter culture and mistrust in the US government never fermented, and American culture stagnates into 1950's retro futurism for a whole century. Pre-war history is a big part in setting up the Fallout world, and I'm glad the Miami team paid attention to it.
It is implied that the Counter Culture movement did happen in previous fallout games. Settlers in Megaton warn you not to be fooled by people's 'hippie crap'. And at Hidden Valley you find a lot of peace signs and hippie graffiti spray painted on the bunkers there.
Maybe the mural and the museum themselves are propoganda. Like, the government lied to the America people and said they were victorious despite their loss. That's why you have power armor present before power armor might've been a thing

When these Modder’s out here are doing a better job of showcasing a FREE mod that is the size of a DLC and the quality of a AAA Game then what most AAA Company’s do. You guys are amazing! Have fun! Take care and look after yourselves!

You can't trust any developer out there, no matter how legit they seem. Cyberpunk is the ultimate example. It's best to stay sceptical and keep realistic expectations. I really do hope this one is different though.

@@tylerrohn6938 Well, you do realize most of the modders are even working in this project so that it can become a strong part of their portfolio and you never know some of them can end up in Bethesda. You never know Bethesda may hire them. Remember how creator of Falskaar mod got selected in Bungie for this mod. So, Game Devs are looking for these creators.

Ngl, was a little shocked when found out Ezra is a dude but professionally very impressive nonetheless, just unexpected! Huge props to you and as a guy who doesn’t sound like the typical hulk myself, you have my respect doing what you do despite having to deal with the common mixed reactions everyday. I’d be lying if I said I’m not bothered by my voice sometimes when speaking in public. Looking forward for more frequent updates guys! I’m actually replaying fo4 now to get myself ready for this!
Thanks man, I really appreciate that! In a professional sense, I usually just ask ahead of time if I’ll even be considered since my voice is pretty unconventional... surprisingly, a lot of directors don’t mind it! I still get a good amount of work. So while I’m hoping my voice drops enough that nobody mistakes me for a girl anymore, at least I still have my work either way! And of course, I always have Miami 😎

Can I just say, I appreciate everything about the team behind this. You're putting a staggering amount of work into this, and I hope you know that no matter if it's monthly or bi-yearly updates, your work is incredible and I am looking forward to this mod because of the people behind it, as well as the content.

Imagine waking up from a vault in Miami and hearning a faint "UNNNIIITTT" from a Tom in the distance.
Really glad to see you folks are making sure the alternate history of the region is dynamic, over a year ago I asked on your discord if the US's antagonistic colonial relationship with Cuba and Central America would play a role in the story and I'm glad to see there being hints to it here.

Also, I don't know if this is a little to much but I thought it would be a good idea:
Why don't you make all the text on the signs in the center (from places not reusing signs) use letters taken from signs on the out skirts of the center. You could also have all letters taken actually missing from various signs in the surrounding area. Toms school house sign gave me the idea.

I got it. The story could be like the player shows up to hotel and there's Jacket. He kills a russian in front of the player then talks to them. With the cassette tape player from payday 2. Then he becomes the players companion, after not knowing where the rest of the Russians are at. So, he uses the player to find them. What do you think?

For the record, Grim Fandango is a GREAT game. Highly recommended.
If I can just provide some feedback before the final game or anything. Don't throw random out of place skeletons in inhabited places. Drumlin Diner being an example: Skeletons in the booth and no windows or beds there yet they've lived there quite some time. Make it look "lived in" vs cartoonish and lazy like 4 was.
i want to add all the car parks were too narrow for the cars parked in them in 4. they literally physically could not navigate them. proportion things accurately

Looks amazing, one thing i thought stood out though is that Gabriel Goodman doesnt look overly unique??? It might just be ive seen so many fallout 4 npcs and settlers they all just blend into one, but he seems like a guy who needs a crazy haircut or something

Okay, I am fudging hooked, I haven't been this amazed and thrilled for anything Falloutrelated since the Announcement of Fallout: 4, I am already preparing everything for an Expedition into the Vacation Wasteland. Nice touch leaving the Outtakes in, thank you guys for all the hard work you already put into that Project, be assured it is appreciated.

I have a suggestion. What if you guys could ask permission to use some of F4NV's weapons for the Santos Firearms shops, since you guys said they have exclusive contracts to sell weapons from elsewhere. Albeit at a very rare chance, or maybe I didn't understand the contract things.
