    I had an MT09 in California. I loved it with all my heart. Now I have a 2016 MT03. It came with very low mileage like 5000 kilometers. I live in Thailand now and the MT-03 is nearly perfect for this area. I just whipped around the mountains of Northern Thailand for 6 days and covered about 1200 kilometers. It road like a dream. Do I wish I had a more powerful motorcycle? Yes. Do I think about it when I ride the MT03? Nah…

    I love the MT-03 so fucking smooth, approachable and honestly just raw feeling in terms of shifting and all that, you feel everything on it in my opinion. Had it for about 8 months and put almost 7k miles on it, It's a great bike, cheap, reliable and just overall agreat bike to have in ur garage. no complaints whatsoever. Love it, I'm 6'3 and feel pretty comfortable on it. i don't race it, just commute and go on some spirited twisty rides every so often but that's what it's made for in my opinion

With the R6 Throttle tube, full throttle is now sooner, think what used to only be 75% throttle with the stock tube, will now be 100% throttle so you need less wrist twist. Got a very sweet deal on a 2009 MT03 for 500 bucks, love it! Will soon be going for a V-Strom 650 but this MT is already great!

      @@JoeStanek-vu7rlThey did. I do own one aswell. My is a 2008. But this MT-03 was a completely different bike than the new one. 2006-2014 had a 660cc Single cylinder with 48 hp and 56NM / 42Ft.lbs of torque instead of this little twin. So they are not realy compareable. But imo that was a much better bike than the 2016 and following...

    know how much ya'll don't like the cb500's but would love to hear what ya'll think of the cb500f; bought one new because I've never had any "new" vehicle and I just love the damn thing haha even if it's not the "absolute best" thing on the market blahblahblah. Little things for me like the dash on the cb compared to the mt kind of get me. though you guys hated that cb500r so much I don't think ya'll will want to but man, the cb500f just looks so damn good!

    • @Tennessee968
      @Tennessee968 3 месяца назад

      I think the cb500f is a good looking bike. Good build quality. That being said it's too heavy for that motor to feel much different than the MT. But I like them both. MT is cheaper and reliable for about the same thrills.

    I live with a philosophy : Grow out of your first bike’s , You will live longer , my first street bike was 50cc in 1972 my first race bike was 50 cc then 125,250,500, and they the end of the 70s I was racing a 750 two-stroke on the Isle of Man that had less power and speed than my current 600cc bike ,,, (66 years old ) still riding hard

    Hmm, I think you being 5' 11" means you might adjust what you think is a good bike for shorter people. As I'm only 5' 3", quite short for a man. This bike would be about 2 to 3 inches to tall for a starter bike. As my inseam is only 29 inches.

      you will be fine, im 5'6 with a 28" inseam, 1 inch shorter than you. I have a scram 411 which has a 31.3" seat height and its just fine for me.

    I'm mt03 owner since 2019. if you compare it to cfmoto 450sr and aprillia 457 the mt is nothing. Yamaha did the 300/250cc dirty. all the big cc R and MT series even the tiny 125/150cc have a delta box frame and slipper clutch (sorry mt07 looks like you will be joining the featureless club). and if you straight away compare only the engine to 450sr and 457 it will be more irritating because all mt series above mt03 use crossplane but Yamaha cant make smaller cc of CP2 for years. but if we talk about the price that is a different story but still Yamaha did the 300/250 R and mt series dirty

    This should have been a single cylinder. There is absolutely no reason for them to have made it a twin. KTMs 300 for example blows this out of the water, purely in terms of excitement ofcourse.
