Awesome video bro! It’s so crazy to search a video on yt and find out it’s a friend from middle school that made the video!
I know you from middle school??
Thank you you are the only one who show the swap brake booster , i was to figure to remove the whole part from the fire wall 😅 thank you again !!!! 🤟
Nice video. Definitely answered some of my questions.
Looked so clean 💯
Where's the beer?! That's my favorite part about working on the ride
Puro Pisto lol we had a few just wasn’t in the video
Yessss! Vlogsssss
high quality video!
lit my guy!!
Bro I have a r18 and need that fitting .. That are from 10M female inverted to 12m bubbled flare?
I need to know the part number of that from Dorman.
@TmasssPhoto could you share here? Thanks
04 to 08 got ya ...
Is the new master cylinder from the TL-s too?
First thing first never ever use a torque wrench to break bolts loose you probably were never told that but just for your info
Matthew Heckathorn lmao nice catch I already had it out and I didn’t feel like digging for the breaker bar.
Yes, that's a good way to break a torque wrench
Is it ok not to used 5mm spacer? What happen if no spacer?
So in all how much does this conversion cost ?
Where did you purchase the parts you needed? Any part numbers for the calipers as well
Is this an Si or R18? I was under the impression that you HAVE to pull out the hub assembly away from the knuckle with a slide hammer to install the extended studs because they won’t fit will without doing so.
Hey bro, at 4:28 you showed the adapters. I think it's a Dorman brand? Do you have the exact part number for them? Thanks so much
With the hub drilled to 9/16 did you have to tap it to put new threads in or did you use a nut? Or are the calipers threaded and you bolt it from the back?
Great Video.. Im tackling this conversion just want to make sure i have everything before getting mid way through it and missing parts. in the video around 6:25 you mentioned a bunch of OEM seals/bolts/brake hardware.. do you have where you found the information for them ? or mind sending me the part #'s. Thank you in advance
Anthony Cuerto just go to a Acura Dealer and ask them
Does upgrading to a TL-S Brake Master Cylinder is required?
and ... what's the disadvantage of completely getting rid of the dust shield?
Thank you!
Not sure im getting to you in time but No its not needed to do the break upgrade, your disadvantage is more than usual break dust other than that you can cut the dust shield to let the caliper fit ( its what I did ) either way your choice
i know im kinda late but what spoiler is that
Hello will this caliper bolt on accord cl7/ tsx 03-05 model?
And whats the size of the rotors in mm?
Did you ever use that converter on the brake master?
Why didnt you just use the s2000 rotors?
Are you running any wheel spacers in the back? Nice build by the way.
Jorge Vidal none in back
Where did you get start button
Could we do the same with rear?
its possible but you might lose the e brake
What size spacer ? I ran into the same issues I just went and left aerogenics bad feedback . They’re customer service sucks so bad . There’s no info or description on that kit . My wheels have crazy room for caliper and still didn’t clear 18” weds sport seems like 3-4mm off chipped my caliper test fitting it
25mm spacers cleared my stock 17'' wheels.
Did you use the OEM Civic banjo bolt for the brake line or the TL-S hard line?
Jedi Luke 22 I used the banjo bolt that came with my SS brake lines
What are the specs on the NTO3’s? 18x9.5 and what’s the ofsett? Trying to see what cleared the brakes
didn't clear the brakes they were +40
Do you have to get extended bolts?
What banjo bolt did you use the si or tl?
How long do the studs need to be?
What size spacer did you use?
What year type s cause I have a 02 tl type s and wanna do a up grade
07-08 Type S (Manual or Auto) or 04-06 TL (Manual only) came with Brembo's.
@@JrVtec thank you yes ima dummy forgot about that car
What’s the specs on the NT03? Plan to get these wheels but I’m not trying to run a spacer for the wheels
diego_af86 mine are 18x9.5 +40 I believe the +27 fits the brakes fine not sure tho
I know my 8th gen si is a single piston caliper. Are the tl type s dual piston calipers?
yes, they are dual
Did u reuse the oem brake banjo bolt for the civic Si?
no
I’m trying to do the same thing on my 9thgen ! Do you have the specs to get machine the rotors ?
And what’s your IG brother your car looks familiar !
Ish Fg4 you end up doing this ? Thinking about going this route. Any info if the TL type s will bolt up to the fb6 ?
Where did you get the punch start
Richie Lopez from a part out. Google FD2 start button online you’ll find it
brake components conversion civic si fa5
Could I still get 8th gen rotors or do I need to get Acura rotors
Active EJ TL rotors.
Tmasss Photo thank you I heard if you run s2000 rotors you don’t need the studs and spacers
Active EJ correct. S2k there’s no needed hubcentric rotor spacer
Nick Tank but if you run s2k rotors the pad doesn’t grab the whole rotor
Think I’ve seen you on IG somewhere
its possible lmao
@@TmasssPhoto I’m sure you’re running TE37 now?
@@krazzielaosboi yup!
Does the 5mm Aerogenics spacer perfectly center the TL-S rotors? I’m getting many different answer online. Some say you need 6mm and some says 7mm. Trying to get the exact size that would completely center the rotors. They say the s2000 fits and base on that, the difference of the s2000 and TL-S rotor is 6mm in height.
michael vu they fit perfectly
They fit but you need to get the rotors machined
They sell the kit with the rotor already machines Bt you also have to get spacer on top to clear the Brembos of your wheel depends on your wheel I have 18s with super open design for big caliper and still hits I was trying to contact aerogenics for so long and they never responded back to me .
I'm sorry. This dude ruined that Civic. It looks like a super sized McDonalds Happy meal toy......trash. He must be like 18 or something. But I do like his caliper painting. I'm subbing!!
lmaooooo this is my car. doesn't look like this anymore but feel free to check it out on instagram @thatsilver8th
Bro you’re working on a foreign car use METRIC sized tools!
