- We sat down with Matthew Roberts at his home on the East Coast and we were treated with a thoughtful talk on a fascinating subject. Matthew worked in the US Navy as a Cryptologist for 16 years where he spent many years working on encryption/decryption communication process to catch the bad guys the world round. He is also recognized as being featured in Episode 1 of the 2023 Netflix series Encounters. Starting in 2015 he began to have a series of fascinating profound personal experiences after being on board the USS Roosevelt during the famous Gimbal and the Go Fast events. The Navy later described these events as incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena into military training ranges. These events completely changed the course of Matthew’s life, who had been a life-long atheist up to this point in his life. We learn about his journey of self-discovery, the subsequent opening up of his world view and his exploration of our place in the cosmos. Amongst the several themes in this episode, we discuss his insight on humanity’s lack of insight on evolution beyond us, the dead-end nature of our materialistic western mindset, what he thinks non-human intelligence is trying to communicate and the significance of “picking at the edges of human perception”.

I have been reading Matthew's book & dare I say has been life-changing. The man is an incredibly deep thinker & has helped me understand so much about myself, my emotions, and who I am as an individual. I highly recommend his book & to keep an open mind.
I believe that humans are an awful lot more than we think we are, and that we live amongst a wider nature that most are not able to perceive, but this may be because an area of ourselves has been trained out of us , and anyone who can still experience this phenomenon has been made to look and feel silly, or viewed as a cook or crank, when in fact their experience is very real.

Glad he referred to "planes" as opposed to "dimensions". Not repurposing science terminology helps avoid confusion and loaded-terms / context-dependency issues (that might otherwise confuse or close the mind).
Great discussion!!! Good job, Matthew, for talking about a subject that has been an ongoing for centuries. Please continue the fight. Don't give up. I am one of those people who have seen thru the curtain. Just one suggestion, as this topic of conversation grows, can we try to step away from military service man's experience into the phenomenon. I understand the credibility factor. But I feel we can learn more from regular people, and we need to find a way to validate and document their experiences.
It is surprising how small Matthew's audience is considering his credentials.
The problem, as I see it, is that we have spent 80 years ignoring the phenomenon completely, so the chances of science gaining an insight into UFOs is impossible. I am suddenly finding you, Matthew, such an astonishing person, with such insight and deep will. Perhaps you are the type of person that I always wanted to be, but never did? You Luciano are so courageous to be doing this show, and I mean courage, as in facing a mad bull in a field. You place yourself in danger, and that is amazingly good.
I bet that craft felt very familiar, hence the obsession of looking at the footage.
And I have to say you are very similar to a man that I knew his name Pawel Lesicka
