The level of self awareness you guys have, and not trying to pretend like the recognition isn't appealing? So damn refreshing. Also pairing it with It's Gonna Be Me was genius 😂
Three bandmates and I from our "dad band cover band" found your music a couple of years ago. We all saw you at Brooklyn Steel last year and the show was amazing. Really among the best live shows I've ever seen. We are all well into our 50s so even though we were there early we kind of made our way to the back of the crowd (felt self-conscious standing the middle of so many young people). Nevertheless, forgot our age once the first song kicked in and loved every minute of it. Hope everyone in the world finds your music and your band. For me, the discovery came through a late night RUclips rabbit hole that started with Simon Smith and the Amazing Dancing Bear, which led to more Randy Newman, which led to a Clyde video, which led to two years of watching as much Lawrence stuff as I can.
Totally get it! Introduced my dad to Lawrence in december 2020 and it was his top band on Spotify for 2021
Can we just talk about Gracie’s insane jumping while her voice doesn’t even shake??? Insane.
Gracie doing pushups as an intro to Get Busy may be the most boss move I have ever seen in my entire life.
❤ Thank you Lawrence for all that you’ve done for the music industry
No matter what level of fame you achieve, y'all deserve every bit of it and more. I'm pumped to be a Lawrence fan!
Undeniable. Fan for life here. Nobody has more heart than this band, individually and collectively. That's why we love you.
Recently saw you open for the Jonas Brothers, one of the BEST openers I've ever seen and definitely a fan now!!
Thank youuu!!!
Just discovered you all and wow, I am blown away by the total talent in everyone in this band! Looking forward to the release on my birthday!
Lucky!! The only thing that I can think of that would be a better Birthday present than that would be going to one of their shows! (which I can’t do because I live in Australia😢). Anyway Happy Birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉
@@milliewalsh6572 that would be amazing and thank you for the birthday wishes!
welcome!!!
Love the vulnerability and authenticity of this series
3:02 "Gravy you can stop...doing what you're doing..." lmaooo
I cannot wait to finally see y'all on the inevitable Australian tour
Honestly gotta be the funniest Lawrence vid yet, and the next one boutta be an absolute CLASSIC 🤣🤩
Lawrence is awesome and the editing of this series is awesome!!
It's around one hour and a half since I first heard about your band. I only heard one song so far and watched all of these docu-episodes and I have to tell you a thing or two.
First of all - I already love you guys like brothers (and sister)! You are so true to your words and talented and hard working and soooo f'ing successfull! And from what I heard in your documentary, your music is mindblowing! Can't wait to hear more of it and I'll do my best to bring you to Serbia as soon as possible!
I’ll be honest, I have never fallen for anyone as hard as I fell for Gracie @7:47
😅 thought it was gonna be the foot ointment part, but yeah that part was hilarious too.
Loving this series! That live version of “Get Busy” 🔥🔥🔥 Please come to Australia 🇦🇺
What they've been saying about their fans being the nicest is definitely true. As soon as I walked into the venue with everyone else I felt surrounded by my people, plus look at all these cool people in the comments! It is crazy though I feel like ass non stop in this economy!
I literally just asked them this question last week. Can't wait for the answer.
Awesome insight to your band, lots of love from Poland! Hope to see you here one day!!!
Keep doing what you're doing, cause what you're doing...is worth doing. You're a truly great band. As Prince famously coined it..."Real Music by Real Musicians"
The band, Jukebox the Ghost, has a podcast called Fame-ish where they interview other musicians that are in a similar situation to what you guys are talking about as far as the juxtaposition of being really famous, but only in certain circles.
I remember in one of the Staycation meet and greets Clyde talking a bit about the drunk show, so excited to see that it was documented and looking forward to seeing that episode!
Love this series!!!!!
This is so true. What does fame even mean? I can’t wait for the episode. I love you guys ❤
After only 3:30, if someone could tell me this is the new version of 'The Office" I would totally believe them lol
Always inspired by your diligence! Fan Fam for Life!
New fan you guys rock i truly mean it I'm a lover of Grateful dead, phish, etc now Lawrence 😊😊the whole band jams and also gets into the moment groovin and all ❤❤
I love the way the band are labelled and contextualised. Some of the secondary roles outside of music making are quite a surprise. Also loved seeing the notorious nature grow during lockdown because it meant you were coming to England
I would like to formally request the song “I feel like ass”
The beat boxing was hilarious!
Love you guys so much. You have a big fan from iran!
Is Gracie's nickname Gravy or am I mishearing things? You guys need to tour Canada, please come once you're done making the Jonas Bros look good.
Where was the snare drum?
Let's go!!!
I'm not a bass nerd but god damn at 10:05 he's killing it
That’s our beautiful bass boy, Karsh, right there.
Found you a couple of months ago and that's a shame, 8 could have beefn listening to you guys ages ago. Found you on jacob collier channel
Great video.
Really wish you guys would come to Calgary as part of a Canadian Tour. We really can't afford to go to the Jonas Brothers show in Edmonton. Sadly.
Wish I was going to be at your concert tonight, but I'm too old to be out on a school night.
Why should that stop you? I wish I was going but I live in Australia and I’m doing my HSC😢
As a veteran of 30 years in the trenches of the music biz, enjoy fame cuz it’s fun at first. But NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER let fame become more than a reason to deliver the music. I’ve seen fame destroy a lot of lives. Keep the music first.
@Lawrence y'all are famous in my book :)
@lawrence - As fans if there is ONE thing you think we could do to help you please just let us know!
Lol omg can't wait for drunk episode! I can't wait to see how many of the exact same comment there are or of I'm the only one haha! Also, y'all fucking rock!!
That’s the problem with human snare drums, a regular snare drum would stop when you say “stop” 🤣
More Beat Boxing!!!!! 🧡
Clyde’s speaking voice sounds so much like Jonah Hill
what song were they playing at 9:57?
Gracie's already on wikifeet I'm sure
do you typically go on the road in a bus/car, or do you fly while on tour?
bus lifeeee
You guys could definitely make a lot more money if you got rid of the bass and the horns section. Those can easily be replicated on the keyboard.
I'm a big fan of the brass though. Really brightens up the jams
I hate to say this, but this band will fall apart before the real spotlight hits them. The foundations that they’ve built their castle on is not strong enough.
Please me tell you found the snare!? 🫠
Noooooope false alarm all good 😮💨 4:51
