- Clyde and Gracie Lawrence have been making music together since they were little kids and you can tell the second they start performing that they're incredibly in sync. There's also something so essentially New York City in their music that's hard to put my finger on... This is one of our all time favorite performances on the show, we hope you enjoy.
Please leave a comment if you like our videos! They really help!

Whatcha Want goes incredibly hard in the acoustic setting holy moly
This whole thing I feel like I owe money for just finding like what just happened in my headphones
acoustic-ish right? hehe
When are they dropping the acoustic-ish album
"I woke up 5 minutes ago"... *belts like she's been warming up for 30 minutes*. Fie on you, gracie.
So I’m 71 years old and you guys are my favorite band. And I’ve lived through a lot.
oh yeah well im 92 years old and ive lived thru more and i like them more than you
You still got time to delete this
I think I speak for anyone that hadn't heard of Lawrence before - holy shit!
Can we just acknowledge Gracie killing the intro to the second song after admitting she just woke up??!?! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
She has talent that doesn’t make worldly sense, like at all 🤯
Found Lawrence a few years ago and have been enjoying the ride. So amazing seeing them get the recognition they deserve and so thankful for the amazing music they are making. Thank you!
The Vocal Pipes, the all-around on point musicianship, all make this pure, good-vibe inspiring, soulful funk band a must-have in one's musical collection!!! Sensational job, all around!!!
Holy Hell! Whatcha Want pops like a MFer! Gracie's range and energy is WOW! The entire band has me insanely hungry for more right now!
I am 62 years old, you guys are also my favorite band!!!!
Hell yes
I’m 44, my kids are 8, 10, and 11. We love Lawrence! Soul distilled into the musical form.
So so good wow
I would say the next guest on the podcast... worthy idea? 🤔
meh. it's about as good as ya podcast.
yo, pretty sure their dad is in the industry and she's a failed actress or something...
oh that's right, like every band nyc/la band. LOL!
Once again they prove they can kill in any setting - not that they have anything to prove :)
They’re incredible
i could listen to this type of music FOREVER
Lawrence reminds me of that Disney movie Oliver&Company down to the main character pairing and all
Hell yes! More Lawrence always. These guys deserve so much more love than they get... just a matter of time!
Always more impressive than the last listen, what an amazingly talented band
Discovered this wonderful lot through Jacob Collier and now they're my favourite group - fantastically funky, soulful and fun
Saw them in London for the 2nd time on July 6th, such a great live band. The energy in the room that night was off the charts.
This band is just crazy! Amazing every single time! The whole band, a reduced band, Gracie and Clyde alone, the extended band (acustic-ish)... the energy is always there! I wish they would come to Uruguay (or near) one day so I can take my daughter (5) and son (10) so see them!! We all love the band and are great fans!
About 3 months ago I heard Lawrence for the first time - and now I don‘t know how I could live before that day! Must have been a dark time…Can‘t wait to see you on your tour in a few days! ❤
He escuchado hoy por primera vez el tema Whatcha Want y he estado buscando todo lo que habéis hecho, sois fantásticos. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
17:50 drummer's face says it all about Clyde, fkn hell mate. He plays a ton.
I saw these 2 in a video in their room at their house when they were very very young. For some reason I got this vibe and thought to myself these 2 are going to be GIANTS in the Music Biz.... Been a fan since the Xmas hats singing in their bedroom.. Was supposed to go to a meet and greet but could not make it - I am old, and had some walking problems, and the next day COVID shut everything down - I was hoping they would continue.. LAWRENCE is GIFTED and the BAND has been kept Original.. That says something about Clyde and Gracie.... Keep Going, these are REAL people with TRUE TALENT !!!!!!!
I don’t freaking understand how Grace makes singing like that look so dang easy!!!
Gracie hair looking fire and they are all sounding great
Lawrence is pure brilliance in every way!! To say you guys inspire and ignite EVERYTHING is the understatement of the century!!
So cool to see these acoustic takes of a couple songs off their new album
Life has never been the same ever since I started listening to this band! I love them so much❤
I've been a big fan since I first them singing "I'm Probably Up"
Banger after banger! Even in this acoustic setting they’re absolutely rocking it!
Is it just me or does Clyde give off strong Ray Charlse vibes? Both Clyde and Gracie are exceptional talents. AMAZING!!!
Gracie KILLED IT
Good Lord! I love them so much! I always thought Clyde's voice was a cross between Randy Newman and Dr. John.
Can't wait to see them in-person for the first time this October!!!!
Gracie has really blossomed into an absolutely stunning young woman with a remarkable stage presence. She commands your attention at all times.
Clyde is a time traveler from another era and keeps getting better himself.
I'm from Long Island and feel fortunate to have known of them for so long. My finacee designed some horns for them, too 🤗
such talented singers they are.
Who knew I needed and acoustic funk version of toxic.
lawrence is the best. love the energy... one of a kind what they do and bring to the table
Any day I can hear Lawrence is a good day. Smashing the replay button!!!
Just dripping with talent and style. Just saw these guys in London. GO SEE THEM LIVE! Love Lawrence!
Saw these legends in London last year then last week in London again. My top 2 gigs ever
I first heard of you guys on TYSO about a month ago, now I'm a big fan! You guys are incredible!
the percussionist killed it! And I Love Gracie...
I'm here for the Lawrence lovefest!
Cant wait til I see you in st. Louis !
These guys are awesome!
Just found my favorite sibling band.
Y'all are a ton of fun :)
This guy brings us so much fun music. God bless you Jack.
sooo underrated ♥ Love u guys!
Amazing songwriting, amazing arrangement, amazing performances both musically and vocally. I listen to you guys every day. Such an inspiration. Keep it up :)

Can't wait for the Tiny Desk :)
Track Star does it again! Bravo
such a big fan of their songs !!! the new album is amazing ! thanks Lawrence
SO EXCITED to see how much Lawrence's grown! I need to hear them LIVE!
They are AWESOME!!! 👏
Toxic went unexpectedly hard
I really enjoy the format of these videos they are so well put together
Thanks so much
Gracie is a fashion icon
A Karshless set was an interesting choice but I think it worked quite well
Amazing performance! Great interview as well. At 16:00, did Jack need to stand on the street so he didn't tower over Clyde and Gracie? Hahaha, I know they are both on the shorter side.
YAY! More lawrence content to overplay
I found these guys back with 'It's Not All About You', and 'Casualty '
I would love Lawrence to do Dr Feelgood by Aretha Franklin.
Clyde would kill the arrangement and Gracie would be spectacular on the vocals. As they do on everything!
I know I’ve said it before but her resemblance to the late, great Teena Marie in her look, sound and mannerisms is amazing!
I'm 50! And I kick. Also like this band.
Just the best youtube channel out here
until I get the full studio version of Whatcha Want, this will do - I love that one soo much.
Will i get a play button if i listen to this enough. Because if so im definirely well on my way. 😂
Love you all!
who are their parents?!?!? they deserve applause
Little brother Linus has his own band.
Their dad is the film maker Marc Lawrence, who wrote Miss Congeniality
Petiton to Lawrence's siblings make a song with billie elish and finneas
Yay! Love Lawrence
Clyde’s soloing is fkn underrated
Jordan’s sax solos too
1000%
Hell yeah!!!!
Sit Ubu, sit. Good boy.
IYKYK
cool band!
Sit, Ubu, sit. Good dog. Ruffff!!!!
I’m sure I already commented on this video…. But I just had a thought that made me a bit sad….. Lawrence won’t be able to hide Gracie away from the world much longer. And as much as I’d love to see her solo album… I hate to think about this unit separating.
Could be wrong… hope like hell I am…
Wow
This is not an opinion this is hard fact
He talks like jonah hill but he sings like i dont even know
Great video shared with me by a great editor/premium brand spokesperson (Ellen) 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ellen the goat
Brittneys gotta write new music this belongs to Lawrence now I think. 😂
They "all along the watchtowered" her 😂
where can I get my hands on that baseball jersey
Lawrence covers The Doors covering Toxic by Britney Spears.
Is this the same Jack from ye olde Casey Neistat?
did they play double or nothing?
Your videos are very nice, but if you do something, the video views will be more
Can't argue with that logic.
My mom has been saying this for years
A wise man told me this once
