I like that Maximilian dude. He seems like he doesn't take the game too seriously, competitively yeah, but not so seriously that he cries about it when he loses or brags about it when he wins. I like people that play like that.
Maximillian Dood is one of my favorite fighting game players. Dude is an amazing sport. I don't think I've ever seen him badmouth another player, even when they actually do suck. He's the polar opposite of DSP.
Frédéric Chopin Max retaliates against assholes who deserve it by beating them in a perfect, or near perfect match. And even then he shrugs off people talking shit to him on mic. He is an amazingly talented, and courteous player.
Yeah I've already subscribed to him. It's been so long since I've heard someone ENJOYING themselves with video games. Too many people are just doing it for the money now. It's really refreshing.
Torankusu Briefs You should take a gander at Two Best Friends Play on their channel TheSw1tcher if you haven't already. They do playthroughs of games they enjoy, and hate, or interested in for the sake of our entertainment, its just a bonus for them that they have a crap-ton of fans that make them a ton of money. They are also the guys who introduced me to Max's channel.
The worst thing about this, is that Phil doesn't have any class. He ridicules other players for making mistakes, or because of their gamertag or what have you. When I play fighting games, I always give credit to every player, weather they beat me or not.
I just wanted to remind everyone that this video was made to show that DSP is NOT a PRO player (or even former pro like the people I compared him to). I understand there are probably worse players than DSP, but that's not the point. DSP constantly says he was some pro Street Fighter player back in the day. In the beginning of the video I show how he obviously believes he was pretty recognizable back in the day. This simply was to show that he is not some super great player and is extremely overconfident in his skills. Anyone who has seen his other footage in fighting games knows what I'm talking about. This was just another piece of the puzzle I contributed to that makes me believe he never was some amazing SF player, even in Super Turbo. Don't you think it's a little strange we NEVER see DSP play Super Turbo now? Not even once in a blue moon?
StrifeSoul990 Depends on what you consider mediocre, I recall watching him doing the SBO Qualifers in Nashville sometime back facing Damdai (of all people -_-) in the Grand Finals. I personally felt he did pretty well in that Matchup.
UltimateDarknezz999 I'm worse than him at SF but i can clearly see what hes doing and its not very impressive at all. Just hearing any of his self serving commentary just immediately makes me wonder how he has a job from all this. People really like him?
I don't know much about gooteks, but when juxtaposed against DSP he seems like a totally reasonable, respectable person with a decent amount of skill. He's a lot more subdued. DSP is just an intolerable wasteland of conceit.
I think I finally figured out why people watch DSP videos. We are all caught in the "Train Wreck Effect". For those who don't know, it's when you watch something, or in this case someone, so bad, that you can't look away. Even if I'm wrong, people can admit it's a solid theory lulz.
3rd strike is sf3? i never knew about untill a few days ago was the game succesfull in usa and asia? im from europe never really heard about or seen the game,. i know sf 1, 2, 4 obviously 5
3rd strike is the third iteration of street fighter 3 and is considered one of the, if not the, best fighting game ever. It was mostly just arcade except for a dreamcast port which was considered really good. Game was considered pretty popular and is still played quite a bit today.
It has the parry system which is high risk, high reward (it rewards dedication to getting great at the game) 3 supers you can choose from to better match your opponent's character, probably the best roster in terms of diversity (for SF). It's also generally hype because the soundtrack and visuals are great.
Chris Bullock I have no problem with Ken so much as people who just pick him for being high tier when they don't even play hardcore like that. Also, Max seems to be the type of person to play Ken regardless based on stuff he said about the char in the past.
What's wrong with picking Ken? Logically, most competitive players are gonna pick from the top characters. With that said, DSP uses the character as a crutch instead of a legitimate main, and that's no good.
***** Sorry I dont know, only played 3s so far, but Garou is cool. Maybe Ill find it, then Ill hit you up. How do I send PMs in RUclips btw? It used to be blatanly easy but now I cant find it...
DSP is not as good as he thinks he is- like... not once did he say "okay i made a mistake there, i fucked up", he was always blaming everything except for himself. like, his parry timings were off (all the parries he made i could make and i'm only just starting to seriously try to get good), his move inputs were incorrect (like, those moves would have come out if he had done it right)... dang i mean... if DSP even made it to the tournaments, he was surely the equivalent of Dan Hibiki- talking himself up, getting beaten like a bitch.
He also seems to think a yellow connection is awful. In ggpo, it's about the stability of the connection, not the ping. Like I play with about 200 ping, and there's rarely any lag.
i don't like how he always waits for the other player to choose their character before he makes his own selection. it kind of seems cheap because it sounds like he knows the counter picks. ( i could be full of it having never really played a street fighter game)
Even on Ken, his self-proclaimed best character he drops combos, uses the wrong move unintentionally on occaison, and compared to close fights between high level players like the one between Pikachuakuma and Game and Watch there's a lot less focus on good positioning and mindgames. A lot of fights were just Phil and his opponent scrambling to their feet to get in their moves, often doing the same move repeatedly. Some of his even weaker opponents just didn't know the appropriate response to certain moves at all and would get chain throwed and so on.
So when someone's super doesn't come out it's because they are bad, but when DSP's moves don't work it's because of net code? Does he not see how crazy that sounds?
Did anyone else notice the second match with "The A Drain" at the very start "I already beat this guy, but let's go" and it's the Yang player lawl. And then proceeds to get beat again.
Phil's isn't bad but I cannot see him being anywhere near the #rd strike pros. His playing reminds me of some of the people I've beaten online in 3rd strike which makes him just look like an average player.
Yeah, When he is winning he complains, when he is losing he complains, and of course when he loses the other guy somehow is the one who sucks. "I lost to a bad player who sucks," .... I'm still trying to figure out the logic in that.
as much as I absolutely despise dsp, his personality isn't too much worse than most of the fgc. that's why I prefer watching dsp rage on dark souls and bloodborne. I can't wait for tihydp dark souls 3. he may finally have that aneurysm he's been shooting for.
He's playing against opponents 10 levels lower than him and then boasting when he beats them. Also, he doesn't have enough meter for a super, the complains when the super doesn't come out? How very "professional"...
haha, props you've actually showed footage that I actually enjoyed of DSP, the first match. no complaining, he actually did well. To address the purpose of the video, you've made your point. Even though he did good in that first match he lacked variety that the other guy gooteks possessed.
That said I hate losing more than I love winning. So yes I'll get fucking pissed. But at myself for doing stupid shit like getting greedy or turtling myself into a bad situation etc.
You know, I have to thank DSP. Its come full circle. I seriously enjoy him making an ass out of himself. Like it puts me in a better mood to watch these montages. And I have to thank Phil for that ;_;
DSp believes only he is ever affected by lag and when fighting online only he is disadvantaged. Both sides have delay phil, other people just overcome it
He is not decent. This is more a montage of the best of dps then anything else and he still does not compare to the pro's. You can check his dspgaming channel. But what I suggest you do first is watch the following. How to not play MGS3. (he mostly does not do fighting games anymore btw.)
DSP won a tournament in Super Turbo because they used the Street Fighter Collection that was botched by Sirlin and the top players couldn't do their shit.
I found it funny that his mirror match with Ken at 30:30 that he kept yelling that a terrible Ken beat him, even though his opponent was parrying into combos like crazy and somehow he is the garbage player. EDIT: I also make it a point to not choose anybody who is yellow or better for the match, that way I'm not raging over "moves" not coming out.
If there's anything that sickens me about him is how smug he gets the few times he gets to win. Any excuses he makes up for himself apparently never apply to anyone else it seems.
I mean, I don't like the guy very much at all, but he did win EVO 05 and 06, and I think even did well in 07, just because the guy can't play now doesn't mean he was never good lol, I would imagine thats also why he rages so hard because he has literally beaten people like Justin Wong in Grand Finals in tournament situations
I like that Maximilian dude. He seems like he doesn't take the game too seriously, competitively yeah, but not so seriously that he cries about it when he loses or brags about it when he wins. I like people that play like that.

i subed to max and he builds hype but phil builds anti hype
Hearing DSP complain about a super that didn't come out when he didn't have enough meter made me sigh.
It's one thing to do the motion and think wtf why didn't it work,
Only to look at the meters and scold yourself for being absent minded and.
Facts bro
Backdashes and gets hit with a projectile
"I parried but whatever!"
"To think that I, Raoh, had any tears left for this sort of shitty play!"
"IN THE LIFE I HAVE LEAD, WATCHING THIS IS MY ONLY REGRET"
Sephitard9001 "Raoh! How will you use Hokuto Shinken?" *Points at computer* "To make even DSP bow down before my fists!"
He's so disrespectful towards the people he wins against.
Not to mention he's horrible. Pro fighting game player my ass.
The worst thing about this, is that Phil doesn't have any class. He ridicules other players for making mistakes, or because of their gamertag or what have you.
When I play fighting games, I always give credit to every player, weather they beat me or not.
Ridicule mistakes. "Lag" when he makes one. DSP logic.
I just wanted to remind everyone that this video was made to show that DSP is NOT a PRO player (or even former pro like the people I compared him to). I applaud you for caring THAT much about his skill.
i'll say he is pretty elite in ST, i've seen enough video evidence of that. but in these other SF games he is average
Jii-El Meh, he played a broken port of ST at EVO and if you actually watch him play ST on Xbox, he's pretty mediocre
Seeing gootecks now hits different
Gootecks acknowledges the lag yet says nothing, a true samaritan in comparison to DSP who yells about lag in every match
also that was obvious lag compared to when dsp whines the game looks like its running fine usually
Actually, his commentary seems more suited to a COD video than anything
12:58 "Who do you think you are, homie?" Then proceeds to parry everything and beat his opponent. So satisfying to watch.
I bet if he had to fight a punching bag he'd lose.
That Q JR fought around 21:10 was one of the dopest Qs Ive seen. Love that match
What the fuck. He literally lets himself get hit by an Aegis Reflector every time someone uses it on him
That Mr.GameandWatch Q was good man. I have a friend that uses Q as his main. This is motivating.
"I choosed..." are you serious, man?
Max seems to have a really nice attitude, what a guy.
I guess if someone ragequits you lose XP/points etc?
They lose points for rage quitting
DIDNT EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE! LOL AWESOME CHANNEL MAN!
KOJIMA KOJIMA KOJIMA.
How does DSP have fans
DSP attracts others of his level of intellect. Honestly intellect is too good of a word to describe DSP's brain capacity.
I like blue Akuma, especially since it changes the aura along with it
I don't know much about gooteks, but when juxtaposed against DSP he seems like a totally reasonable, respectable person with a decent amount of skill. He's a lot more subdued. DSP is just an intolerable wasteland of conceit.
"Makado" rofl I've heard people butcher Ryu's name, but "Makado" for Makoto is a new one.
Could Maxmillian be the next Daigo? 34:12
I think I finally figured out why people watch DSP videos. We are all caught in the "Train Wreck Effect". For those who don't know, it's when you watch something, or in this case someone, so bad, that you can't look away. Even if I'm wrong, people can admit it's a solid theory lulz.
Gonna be honest here: I thought the comparing to other streamers was gonna lead to him fighting at least one of them.
This guy looks about 40 and acts like he's 13.
Well it's good to see that there's one game that came out after 1992 that DSP isn't a scrub at, good for him.
that akuma q fight was insane!
Man, coming back to this vid after all these years, Phil really has gotten WORSE somehow.
But why is this game considered better than for exemple Street Fighter 4 ..?
It has the parry system which is high risk, high reward (it rewards dedication to getting great at the game) 3 supers you can choose from to better match your opponent's character, probably the best roster in terms of diversity (for SF). It's also generally hype because the soundtrack and visuals are great.
ah I get it
Pfft... Of course he'd only play Ken competitively.
Spoken like a true scrub.
I know right, he would pick Ken. Also, hey fellow SG player!
Chris Bullock I have no problem with Ken so much as people who just pick him for being high tier when they don't even play hardcore like that. Also, Max seems to be the type of person to play Ken regardless based on stuff he said about the char in the past.
UltimateDarknezz999 Agreed. Max has been hyping on Ken in Ultra a lot recently and hopefully he might pick up Ultra since he isnt so hot on AE or 2012
What's wrong with picking Ken? Logically, most competitive players are gonna pick from the top characters.
With that said, DSP uses the character as a crutch instead of a legitimate main, and that's no good.
3rd strike ken isn't a scrub ken. it takes skill to play 3rd strike ken.
phill lol my super did not come out, he said that when he only had 50 meter
Dat Q VS. Akuma fight.....
the ending was magical.
i cried. big ass manly tears. i'm not even ashamed to tell you that.
Me and you both man.
that.. needed to be its own video
***** I know right? It was pretty cool.
It felt like they were evenly matched throughout the whole fight. Definitely a sight to behold.
first of all, the only way to play is in the arcade. second of all, you said choosed in the preface.
the only way to play? what do you mean?
Half a bar of super and he says : "the super didn't come out."
Wow, I can't believe it, but at least once, DSP actually gave someone a slight amount of respect for a win. Didn't think that was possible.
He does that once in a while, when he think he looked spectacular.
Yes, a former pro player, totally know in the community... Im pretty confidend I would body him and Im a nobody in Germany
Majingilbert in fightcade
*****
Sorry I dont know, only played 3s so far, but Garou is cool. Maybe Ill find it, then Ill hit you up.
How do I send PMs in RUclips btw? It used to be blatanly easy but now I cant find it...

24:56 umm Phil, your meter bar wasn't charged for the super.
As much as I hate DSP, he did alright in that Hugo-Chun match. His conduct was beyond awful, but he actually earned a victory for once.
Nah that player deserved it because the motherfucker had the urge to yawn.
i don't like how he always waits for the other player to choose their character before he makes his own selection. it kind of seems cheap because it sounds like he knows the counter picks. ( i could be full of it having never really played a street fighter game)
I loved watching that Chun yawner and Ken taunter get spanked.
Honestly yeah, even if it was DSP fighting and beating that Chun, it was still satisfying to see lol
Mashing when you're in an Aegis Reflector trap? Only from DSP.
I do have the strange feeling to back up Phil on the subject of "Aegis Reflector Bullshit", but that is it really.
So when someone's super doesn't come out it's because they are bad, but when DSP's moves don't work it's because of net code? Does he not see how crazy that sounds?
He just doesn't like to admit that his execution is piss poor!
Did anyone else notice the second match with "The A Drain" at the very start "I already beat this guy, but let's go" and it's the Yang player lawl. And then proceeds to get beat again.
"I choosed 3rd strike"
Wtf is Kojima world order lmao
Why was Gootecks in there?
Phil's isn't bad but I cannot see him being anywhere near the #rd strike pros. His playing reminds me of some of the people I've beaten online in 3rd strike which makes him just look like an average player.
He's the only person who I root against. Phil succeeds in being both a sore loser and a sore winner.
Smelter demon raped him
Chizupan dude watch him try to kill ludwig on bloodborne lol. 3 hour rage quit.
He's playing against opponents 10 levels lower than him and then boasting when he beats them. Also, he doesn't have enough meter for a super, the complains when the super doesn't come out? How very "professional"...
that fucking laugh
What was up with the random video of that guy fighting against the Akuma player?
He has no idea what a juggle is - waking up into an active aegis reflector isn't a 'juggle'
DSP turns into a sea lion at 16:15
19:49 OE was sick! Such a good version of the game! That music!
haha, props you've actually showed footage that I actually enjoyed of DSP, the first match. no complaining, he actually did well. To address the purpose of the video, you've made your point. Even though he did good in that first match he lacked variety that the other guy gooteks possessed.
Also he's a sore player, winning or losing.
dsp gets out played and he says he lost to a terrible ken because his moves dont come out. That ken bodied him
need to learn the Crush cancel to Slaughter super. I'll definitely look for you buddy. I need the comp
15:32 What a chicken and a dolphin crossed would sound like
How long can you say "I didn't do that" before you realize that in fact, you did do that.
What was the point of the guy on 7:41
Being pro is not only about knowing how to win, is also and mainly know to lose and learn.
That said I hate losing more than I love winning. So yes I'll get fucking pissed. But at myself for doing stupid shit like getting greedy or turtling myself into a bad situation etc.
He should come on fightcade and get rekt
Where can I find the video where Phil introduces himself?
In the beginning here
5:50 WTF? Since When did Akuma have Resurrection!
is it normal that I feel physical pain, watching DSP play, or is it just me?
You know, I have to thank DSP. Its come full circle. I seriously enjoy him making an ass out of himself. Like it puts me in a better mood to watch these montages. And I have to thank Phil for that ;_;
If DSP wasn't recording he'd prob be the type to send hate messages after every loss.
"This guy wasn't even good!" Well, he beat you. So what's that make you, DSP? Lol.
that hugo vs chun was really good
Tbh, buffering supers in sf3 is a pain in the ass(imo) but if he's a pro he should be able to do it consistently lol.
lol "if super came out I would have won the match" the guy had no meter....
Nice to see matches mixed in from Maximillian and Gootecks. It gives a nice compare/contrast.
"He's terrible and he's gonna beat me" *does only target combo with Ken*
Leave it to someone named UltimateDarkness to say "I choosed" and "would have saw".
I haven't played the game for about a month, and My Makoto would destroy any character he picks.
I NEED someone to give me the link to the song the guy sings to that MGS theme, so desperately!
Holy shit, he's like the entire cast of the show Scrubs in one human being. Scrub to the 54th power.
Chun Li Whiffs Super by DSP jumping over and has super to punish with. Doesn't use it. When Chun Li is obviously blocking, then uses it. DSP logic...
why does he laugh like rick james dave chappelle I'm concerned
"gotcha bitch!!" lol
DSp believes only he is ever affected by lag and when fighting online only he is disadvantaged. Both sides have delay phil, other people just overcome it
capcom should take street fighter back to this
Lol give it a few more years you probably never played SF5 or dropped it. All things die out eventually
Am I racist or is that the poggers guy
Yes that was gootecks
The old cross videos are making me nostalgic, goddamn where has the time gone.
Does DSP not know that taunts buff characters in 3S?
41:40 "I'm the superior Hugo". Two minutes later: "Oh kahmaaan, dis is bullshit, facking game anhlinee dooode"
"My moves wont come out!"
What does that even mean?
seems like DSP is decent, but has trouble with execution. I can relate. rage is pretty funny tho. Does this guy have RUclips?
He is not decent. This is more a montage of the best of dps then anything else and he still does not compare to the pro's. You can check his dspgaming channel. But what I suggest you do first is watch the following. How to not play MGS3. (he mostly does not do fighting games anymore btw.)
pretty unique guy from what i see. Lots of complaining and whining. It's hilarious!. I havent seen anyone on youtube like this guy lol
Jii-El People do. Just be weary of being brainwashed if you go to his channel. that is all.
brainwashed?
Jii-El check the comment section and you will know.
I don't know why he complains about bad connections. Green bars are his worst nightmare; he can't blame his failure on anything but himself
*DISGUSTIG BURP* OH ma gad.. DumpsterMonkey pff ff ff ff ff *snort*
How obnoxious and disgusting can a person be?
Played DSP in mvc2 some yrs ago....shit was ugly lol
You beat him?
What team did you use?
DSP won a tournament in Super Turbo because they used the Street Fighter Collection that was botched by Sirlin and the top players couldn't do their shit.
TMNT Out of the Shadows in 2014????? o_O
+Le Dom ...Yet you *like* Jim Sterling. Dammit, do you have standards or not?
+Hayao Jim is the smugest on the internet. He just does less whining than DSP.
Damion Dixon But when he does whine, it's about some of the dumbest shit on the planet. Light years beyond DSP in terms of shittiness.
***** DSP complains about literally everything. Jim is an SJW. Sometimes he will complain about stuff that doesn't make much sense.
