Am I the only one who thought he was drinking from the keys as a kid lol
hell I'm 27, first time playing today since I was a kid and still thought he was drinking lol, took me until evel 3 to realise he isn't drinking

I was there back in the 90’s. Snes day 1 n64 day 1. I had turok right away. Incredible game

One of the first games I rented for the 64. Would play for about 15 minutes and then start feeling nauseous. I would then take a break from the tv and in about 5-10 minutes or so it would go away. Played it again and same thing happened. I didnt know what was going on but my young mind was able to connect the dots that the game was somehow getting me sick. I returned the game and didnt think about it too much. Then I got DOOM 64 for my bday. I popped it in and the same thing happened to me. While I was recovering I was taking a look in the manual and it mentioned motion sickness. This confirmed my fears. Back then many of us weren't used to the technology running so "smoothly" and it strained our eyes and messed with our heads. Only after getting motion sickness MANY times was I finally able to play DOOM without feeling nauseous. I had to chip away at it until I finally got used to it. Since then many years have passed and I finally got Turok remastered via Humble Bundle and after 25+ years I finally beat the game.
Running through Turok now makes me realize how much I missed back when I was a kid. (so many missed secrets) but now with your videos I can get all the tings.
You're a lifesaver, that final pattern had me beat.
Been playing the Nintendo 64 port of this game and spent chuffing ages trying to figure out how to leave that last area; this video was a life saver, thanks!
Great content my friend. This was my number 1 favorite game as a child. I would play it all the time and when I beat the game I'd reset and play it again because it was that good.
Memories of an old time lol I love this and thanks years later I finally got all keys on lvl 4
I kmow im late but at 11:30 in level 4 you can make those jumps for the purple doritos in the key room
what jump? I never knew how to go there..
@@sayajin278 the impossible looking gaps on both sides of the room. You can strafe run and then strafe jump to them but its gotta be nearly pixel perfect. I do it every playthrough without letting the swinging rocks hit me, but sometimes i dont make it lol
Thank you so much for this. I'm close to finishing this game and moving onto the second, now I only need one more key on level 5 and I get to fight the T-Rex and the Campaigner.

At about 2:20 there’s a grenade launcher you can jump down onto a platform and get you can see it at the 2:37 mark
At 11:30 you absolutely can make those jumps but it MUST be a diagonal run and jump or you will not make it. You also must use the map to judge the edge of the jump ledge
Dang! I just spent 30 minutes attempting those jumps and replaying the level (on n64). Did not attempt diagonal run/jump yet. *shakes fist*

@@aussiegamerplays7284 I got a chance to play tonight and cleared both jumps with strafe run jumps! It was thrilling. ;)

Well, I have only found about half the secrets, but at least I was able to assemble the chronosceptor (and kick the Campaigner's ass). Plus it was nice to play it legitimately, and I got to see more than I did as a kid.
1:57 Just a heads up, you can make that jump, except it's probably the most difficult jump in the level.

2:00 There are a lot of crazy jumps possible: hold jump to jump higher and strafe while move forword to get max. momentum.

Great vid man. I’ve just polished off the level after watching this (I had missed some of the secret areas). When ever I run out of tek arrows, I never have any standard arrows to use. 😕 Is this normal? 🤔 I’m on the remastered version on Xbox.
I just found out there's a "turn on crosshair" option lol
Lol I went 3 levels only to relise there was a crosshair option
i used the map compass as my crosshair....works great
11:13 You actually can jump to the platforms on the side when you strafe run. I did it like that. Though it can be pretty close to get onto the ledges

You can get the grenade launcher right away when doing the jumps in the canyon
Wtf dude this game is crazy. I played turok 2 but the first one is tricky af?! You have to get DAMAGED and launched by those flying sandbags what other game does this shit? Hahaha that's awesome

Ive never understood the fascination with speedruns, i like to take everything in,look around me,scenery etc,if I'm being timed in game and said game will kill me if i dont finish it in a certain amount of time then of course but if there is no timer,I'm not running for anyone,lol
I don't speedrun but it's after you take your time. I like to look around too but once I know everything I'm not acting brand new the 2ed time around. Speed runners just wanna race each other to the end. Lame

I'm playing the 64 Version and some places are diffent like the first key go behind the portal the that tunnel is in the water Haah but thanks love this game playing it on a emulator ofc
I kept seeing Gernades and yea figured you can't throw them but I knew there would he a gun. Also what does the chrono pieces form when and if you can put them together ?
End of level 8 you get the last piece right before the campaigner, it does massive damage to him

Hey you missed tek armor under the mini gun. it is behind the brute. Also how do you keep a 200 max for bullets? mine always goes away after a round.
